Theo wondered about Aidan's wording, whether or not it was deliberate; it sounded like there was a story there, but Theo didn't want to start poking into potential old wounds regardless of his burning curiosity.
He noticed that one of Aidan's cats was checking him out and he watched it with a strange mixture of want and worry, most of him wanting to reach down and greet the cat with a pet, maybe talk to it a little bit, but a louder part of him reminding him of what happened with the rats and who the hell he thought he was trying to interfere in the life of another creature when it had ended so poorly for them last time. The self-recrimination kept his hands firmly to himself, but his gaze was fixed back on the feline one quietly assessing him.
He looked out over the very impressive view and he could see Aidan's yearning to fly in all of it. "Do you fly often?" he queried cautiously, unsure if it would stir up something unpleasant for his host.
