Journal: this morning (7/7/2005)
[Public] -- The muggle bombings this morning... I don't have words. We here in the wizarding community know how horrible terrorism is. Is there anything we can do as a community to help? Without outing ourselves, of course... I know McLaggen's wants to make a donation - can Gringotts help with that, maybe?

[Warded to Lavender] -- Were you all involved in the clean up at all today? Are you ok?

I was supposed to meet a client in the Other London at 10, but she was running late, so I stayed a few more minutes to finish some paperwork. I was going to Apparate to a little safe spot Rich showed me when I first got here, then walk to meet her, but I couldn't now if I tried, because her office is near King's Cross, and all those people and bodies and blood, Adi, it's like school again.

I've sent the twins to my parents in Bath. I'm not having them stay in the city with things like this going on.

And then I'm headed down to King's Cross to help with the injured.

I'd like to donate, and I've got a muggle bank account I can do it through. If we can find out where to donate to, I don't mind putting the money through my account.

It's days like today I really wish the statute of secrecy wasn't so strict. We could help them rebuild and tidy up so much faster with magic, but our hands are tied.
