Battlescars Journal -- Anonymous
There are so many days I wish someone would look under the mask and ask me a question or dig deeper than the surface. I don't know if I have words for it, but sometimes I suspect it would be dreadfully nice to talk about even a little bit of it.

Or maybe just to have someone care enough to ask.

There are so many times I'm so tired of being so very alone.

Fucking sucks when they don't fucking care.

Sometimes I think it is worse when you know they care but they don't look deep enough.

I'm all alone anymore, which doesn't help.

At least you know they care. If you know they care, you can say something. When you're constantly ignored for everyone else, you can't even say something because no one will listen.

It is possible they care? People get busy, though, or don't know how to reach out. I'm not terribly good at it because I'm struggling constantly inside myself, and it makes me selfish that I have to keep myself going constantly or breakdown.

So maybe be more vocal about it? I just don't know how to start a conversation where I can say the stuff I have inside. I'm not really capable of it

Write it down and go from there? Not good at it either. Sometimes writing it down helps sort things out.

If you want to talk about something, you can always talk to me. Catch me after battlescars, or on the journals if you want to. The Den is usually pretty quiet, and we can add privacy charms if you'd prefer.

I usually try not to pry, but if I knew you wanted to talk then I'd ask questions.

Thank you for that. I don't make many of the meetings, unfortunately. I don't fit in terribly well there.

I don't even know what I want to talk about. Maybe I just want someone to care enough to look. Though sometimes it all bubbles under my skin in a froth of emotion and I have no idea what to do with it.

I'm sorry you feel like you don't fit in. Is there anything I could do to make it easier for you, or more welcoming?

I'm sure someone cares - maybe they care too much to want to upset you, and that's why they don't seem to investigate the effects of the war. If nothing else, I care.

It isn't you, it is purely me and I know it. You're perfectly welcoming.

Probably you're right. I've never been one who can just sit down and start talking about my inner self, unfortunately. I envy people who can.
