Battlescars Journal: Anonymous
Is anyone else ever (even temporarily or very briefly) thankful for anything they or others would usually consider a bad side effect of their treatment?

Normally it's annoying, unhelpful or at the least something I just get on with, but just at the moment, just briefly it is a relief. And that's strange for me.

Thoughts? And no I don't wish to be more specific.

I'm not really in 'treatment', but if it's good for now... that doesn't seem like it's really a problem.

Unless it's one of those things you think you should be worried about / trying to fix but it's easier to ignore it or be numb.

It's something that cycles around and I'm used to it. Usually it's a bit annoying but I'm just thankful for now. I'm not worried, just confused because I'm not usually thankful.

Just thought I'd use this new thing to see if anyone else had a reaction like that sometime.

What's changed? (Obviously, you don't have to tell me, but maybe if you think about what in your treatment / life has changed you'll figure out why this has.)

Yeah. I'm glad someone's using it! I've wanted to, but the only thing I can think of to say is really identifying.

For once I do actually know why it's different this time. I can't explain without making it obvious who I am. But I do know why. I was more wondering if anyone else had had a good reaction to something that might be objectively or normally seen as shitty.

Yes I know how you feel. Basically anything else I could say is easily identifiable, at least to my friends.
