The package is a dozen black-eyed susans and a note that says:

Sue,

I feel really bad about falling asleep on the lot of you last night - I don't think I'd realized how tired I was after the week at work and dinner at first Hannah's and then yours. I hope I didn't miss anything terribly important. And I hope I didn't snore while napping in one of the guest rooms (which I still don't completely remember getting to, but oh well).
