I'm stuck in the lab all weekend but wanted to say thank you again for coming last night, I know it can't have been the most... enjoyable social experience for you, but it meant a lot. When can I take you out and the kids out to dinner to thank you? And when can I have a night to myself without the twins so I can properly thank you? Thing of you...

I'm sorry you'll be stuck, but I'll be sure to have food and treats sent over so you'll remember to eat.

Last night wasn't a bad experience, rather it was enlightening and horizon expanding. It's your friends and they're part of your life, and I can't just ignore that or turn my back on that. At least I don't want to. Anyway, you know we're always available for dinners and that we love to go with you, but when are you going to learn that you don't have to thank me for going anywhere with you?

When will you be done with the lab work? That's when you can have a night with no kids, whatsoever.
