Who: Charlie & Theo
What: Another bout of somnambulism
Where: The streets near Wingbeat
When: Late Saturday night
Rating: R - language, mentions of bad things

Things hadn't been going too badly for Theo lately, so he was due for a setback. He'd moved out of the hovel he'd been in before to take over the room offered to him by Milly, looking after his friend's house while she was away, and that alone had helped him feel a lot more settled. He'd been unsettled with the situation with Greg and the idea of anything happening to his friend in the same way that something had happened to him had made him sick to his stomach and had probably kick started his latest bout of insomnia. His paranoia had been higher than usual, although he hadn't realised it. He hadn't been able to sleep very, well too keyed up to relax and plagued with shapes and shadows that moved in the corner of his eye but weren't there when he turned to look, voices that spoke to him nonsensically that stil managed to make him feel threatened.

He'd been up for three days by the time his body finally called it quits and he more collapsed down and lapsed into unconsciousness than fell asleep. It wasn't a restful disappearance from the conscious world at all though and he was up and walking around in a bout of somnambulism like he hadn't had since the previous year. It led him to wander around Milly's house, mercifully avoiding tumbling headlong down the stairs, and out into the night dressed in soft black pyjama bottoms, a heather grey hoodie and nothing else, his feet bare against the floor and bleeding by the time he'd made it from Milly's into town. He wandered like he was high or drunk, bumping into objects and rebounding off them from time to time, his tearing feet leaving little footstamps of blood in his wake.

There was no rhyme or reason behind his sleeping decision to make his way towards Charlie's club, unless his sleepwalking worked on some weird remembrance of the last place he'd Apparated to. It hardly mattered where he was physically though, as in his mind he wandered through the halls and corridors and rooms of the Nott House, made even more monstrous and dark in his dreams as they had been in reality, looking over his shoulder in utter sweat-soaked terror for the man who had tyrannized him in childhood and could strip him of any feeling of security even now. Even as he stumbled down the nearly empty street towards the club he still looked over his shoulder like he was being pursued.

Theo didn't hear the voice call out to him, but something in his subconscious slowly let it soak in and his fretful movements slowed to a groggy stop. He wavered on his feet, his even if quick breathing coming ragged and more panting now as the shadow of horror that had been stalking him was suddenly given time to catch up. He startled after a delay between Charlie's shout and hearing it, falling back against the wall and from there to the floor, his feet not holding his weight on them anymore. He cowered, scrambling back without able to get his feet up under him, the whimpering he was suddenly vocalising getting louder.

"Not tonight, not tonight, just one, please!" he begged, pleading mercy from the merciless, knowing enough to not ask for it to stop, knowing that was an impossible request. He struggled a moment before he slowed to a stop, sitting upright, propped on his arms and slipped somewhere back between asleep and awake.

The figure seemed to react on a delay, which was certainly what a drunken someone would do, but the other reactions weren't really in line with it. And then he, or at least Charlie thought it was a male figure, did a slide-fall to the floor. "Ah, shit," Charlie muttered. He needed to help whoever it was.

Then he heard the words that were being said and more than that the tone that they were said in, and instead of finishing the last two spells as he'd intended he immediately left his usual spot for warding and took several strides across the Alley. That was when he spotted the bare feet, eyes tracing back the specks of blood the way the man had come. That wasn't good.

He was fairly sure it was a man now, even if he was still slightly caught in shadows. He kept his wand out as he carefully lowered himself to one knee, prosthetic on the ground, good leg supporting and ready to push up if necessary. "Hey, can you hear me, are you okay?" he asked, casting a Lumos that he could easily cancel if he needed his wand. That was when he recognised the face of the young man who had helped him a few weeks ago, and that he didn't seem to be awake, that he'd contacted a few time since. "Theo? Theo, can you hear me, it's Charlie Weasley." He didn't reach out a hand, still a couple of feet away, but he was within a distance where he probably could if he wanted to.

Theo didn't flinch when Charlie came close, when the wand was lifted up towards him and that alone showed he wasn't aware of his surroundings. He twitched a little when Charlie first spoke and when the light of the Lumos lit him up his pupils responded but the rest of him didn't. He wavered a bit when his name was spoken, the sound of his nickname not belonging in whatever whenever hell he thought he was in, his full name not even belonging there. His dad had called him a number of things, 'You' 'Child' and more frequently, 'Boy', but never his actual name.

He still moaned in his half-asleep state, the throbbing in his feet not registering just yet but the real world filtering in, if slowly. He whimpered and turned his head from the light, lifting a hand to guard himself and wincing like the observation was hurting him.

When the light hit Theo's eyes and he didn't react in more than his eyes Charlie frowned. Clearly he wasn't really awake or aware. Probably not awake actually, which probably explained the bare feet. And shit. He couldn't remember what the ideal thing to do with someone sleepwalking.

Then Theo turned his head from the light and Charlie thought he might be waking. "Theo," he said again, a bit louder, lowering his wand slightly to get the light out of his eyes. "Theo you need to wake up." He had the vague sense that touching someone sleepwalking might be a bad idea.

While Theo didn't react to the first call of his name, the 'wake up' seemed to hit somewhere briefly. He froze like a rabbit in the headlights, his breath coming just as fast and shallow and then looked around himself, squinting out at Charlie and then looking at his surroundings, clearly bewildered. He didn't seem at ease by the fact that he'd woken up though and as he looked back to Charlie the panic that had been there while he'd been asleep flooded back up. He forced himself to his torn feet and staggered to grab Charlie's sleeve, making as though to tug him further down the street. "We have to, we, he, he can't be far behind." he panted in sheer terror, awake but confused by the clinging memories of the nightmare he'd been trapped in.

Charlie was sort of startled when Theo woke up, especially because he didn't seem to quite be taking in his surroundings. Or at least he wasn't reassured by them. He still seemed to be caught in some sort of nightmare or imagined horror. When Theo stood and grabbed at Charlie's sleeve he winced. He had to brace his leg to get up. "No, Theo, it's okay. We're safe here. We can go into the club if you want. But whatever I need to get up carefully," he said at a rush, keeping his hands out of the reach of Theo and bracing them on his good knee so he could put all of his weight through it to stand. It only took a few seconds, but it was quite possible that it was far too long for the agitated Theo, but once he was up he was stable and took a pace to join Theo. "You're safe here," he said, looking carefully at Theo's face, trying to meet his eyes despite the somewhat dim light (most of the shops having put out their lights for the night and the street-lighting being limited in their little end of the Alley) in the shadow of the opposing building.

As confused and semi-lost in a flashback as he was, it was Charlie drawing attention to his injury that finally cut through the fog in his head and woke Theo up. He immediately let go of Charlie's sleeve and reached a hand out like he could somehow help Charlie get up without touching him, watching the red-head stand and worrying at his lip, awake but apparently not immediately enough as he didn't realise the pain in his feet or really pay attention to where he was. He walked alongside Charlie in something like a daze, like someone who had just suffered an epileptic fit and was pulling their mental blocks back into line.

He full out shuddered at what charlie said, catching Charlie's look and immediately ducking his head after contact was made. "What are you doing here?" he asked, dazed but then stopping to take stock. "What am I doing here?" he corrected.

Charlie was thankful Theo didn't actually try to put hands on him to help him get up. For one thing he'd become pretty stubborn about his independence most of the time, but mostly people always seemed to try and help in the wrong way. Although Theo had been helpful when he'd made an arse of himself and fallen over before so perhaps it wouldn't have been a complete disaster. Still, in this state Charlie was glad he'd stepped back.

When Theo shuddered he looked at him carefully and saw he was seeming to come back to himself more. "I've just closed Wingbeat up, I was setting the wards," he said, deciding to answer the question asked even though Theo had corrected himself. "I'm not sure why you're here. I think you sleepwalked. Although I don't know how or how far that is. I think your feet are bleeding," he said, the last coming out gentle and uncertain.

Theo didn't even know what time it was, nevermind where he was, looking across the street to the club; well that made sense as to Charlie's whereabouts, but his? Charlie thought he was sleepwalking - well fuck. He shook his head, not in denial of what Charlie suggested but at himself for doing this again, the sleepwalking that had caused a few accidents involving the moving staircases while he was at school, but then looked down at his feet when Charlie directed his attention there as though he still couldn't feel them.

"Oh." he said softly, leaning his weight to one side as he tried to look at the sole of his bare foot which was indeed torn up and leaking fat weals of blood everywhere. His toes were blue and white too - he hadn't even felt it. He felt around for his wand and he was more distressed at the fact that he didn't have it on him than the fact that his feet were in tatters. "I don't have my wand." he said plaintively, not a little panicked.

Charlie winced when he saw the paleness of Theo's foot and the bright blood against the flesh. Then Theo began to panic about his wand and Charlie automatically reached out, not touching him, but placating him. "Okay, okay. Look, I have a basic healing kit and a floo connection inside if you want. I mean nothing else is going to be open now, unless you want me to take you to St. Mungo's," he said, casting around even though he knew it was pointless. He didn't know Theo well and Merlin only knew if the skittish young man trusted him enough in an empty club. He would happily fire call somebody for him.

Theo didn't so much flinch from the outreached hand as physically recoil, something he'd later berate and hate himself for but that at the moment he just couldn't help. He might have been awake but the thing that had been hunting him in his dreams haunted him in real life and had been a very real monster to him in the past - a hand reaching for him now, even to help, even at a distance, just set him off like a fly-bitten horse. He couldn't take a breath that wasn't short and he was more concerned with the lack of his wand and therefore the lack of protection than the state of his feet, which was nothing new if he was going to be honest.

He calmed a little when Charlie spoke to him though, because he knew that voice and it was pitched so he could trust it. He was speaking logic and nothing he said was threatening, except maybe for the part about St Mungo's - he shook his head because the last thing he wanted to do was go back there and be locked away and drugged to the gills again (even if it was arguably something he needed). He wrapped his arms about himself in some poor kind of comfort or defence and nodded. "I, okay, I don't want to go to St Mungo's. I'll come with you, I'll be good." he promised, that last part falling from some dark infected place in his head and out of his mouth without permission.

When Theo recoiled Charlie did too, snatching back his hand and taking a step back. Clearly that wasn't welcome at all, and he vowed to keep his hands to himself until Theo invited anything else. "Okay, okay, I'm keeping my hands to myself," he said, placing the hands on his hips to try and keep them in check.

At least he seemed to calm a little when Charlie spoke and Charlie sighed in internal relief. He wasn't looking forward to trying to help Theo if he was quite so scared. He could only imagine that he was scared of whatever nightmare had been haunting his disturbed sleep, but that was of little comfort. He nodded in acknowledgement that Theo didn't want to go to St. Mungo's. "Okay, no hospital," he said, and stepped carefully to the side and around Theo. "Can you stand there while I drop the wards I'd put up?" he asked. Honestly the comment about being good made him feel desperately uneasy, but he decided it wasn't the moment to pick up on it. He took the few steps back across the street to the position where he set the wards, and felt them crackle across his skin as he stepped inside, slightly unusual because he'd stopped part way through. He took a moment to check in his mind exactly where he'd stopped and carefully reversed the wards. It took perhaps a minute at the most and then he turned to Theo and offered him a careful twitch of the mouth that was the start of a smile. "Okay, it's safe to come in now. Do you want to follow me?" he said, gesturing to the door.

Seeing Charlie's movement back at his and the space he put between them made Theo feel even more ashamed of his reaction but relieved at the space as well and that made him feel slightly sick. His dad would have been furious with him for showing his hand so obviously, but he could feel himself fraying around the edges on interrupted sleep and the more than lingering shadow of his nightmares. He wanted to apologise for having startled so badly to Charlie's outreach, for bothering the man, for being there and being crazy and strange and pathetic, but the words stuck under his tongue and wouldn't come out.

He tried to pull it together but it was a difficult battle. His erratic Crucio-shocky heart was beginning to calm from the racing it was doing before but it was still skipping beats and doubling up on others, fluttering unpleasantly in his chest like a bird wanting out. He sighed heavily in relief that he just stopped trying to mask now and nodded a thank you to Charlie for letting him stay, for not taking him back to the hospital, and then again when Charlie asked him to stay put. He didn't move from the spot per se but he couldn't find the strength to keep standing after a few seconds and he slumped back against the wall again, shifting his weight from foot to shredded foot. The brief interlude was enough to have his mind looking over it's shoulder again and when Charlie turned back towards him he jumped a bit when the words coming out of the redhead's mouth weren't curses. "Thank you." he said, earnest and sincere and ground close to the bone. His curse damaged hand twitched a little bit, shaky like he'd pushed the muscles too far as he tried to forcibly redirect the incoherent gibbering terror from his mind to his hand. He was obedient and quiet in following Charlie in though, reacting as though he didn't feel the pain in his feet but not as graceful as he had been, shambling a little. He still couldn't believe he'd woken up here and he had to look around to reorient himself despite knowing logically where he was.

Charlie was sort of relieved to see that Theo was still there, although the slumping against the wall was both worrying and reassuring in different ways. "You're welcome," he said, turning back to the club and opening the door. He hadn't put his wand away at all since leaving the first time and now he held it out as he entered, automatically lighting the lights in the entrance hall. It wasn't bright in here, but it had a steady, healthy glow. He held the door for Theo, patient as he watched him walk on slightly unsteady feet.

"There's a stool in the cloakroom, would you like to sit on it and I could levitate you to save your feet?" he suggested. He honestly didn't mind waiting for Theo to walk but he thought that giving him the option would be good. Plus the stairs were going to surely be an issue. He wasn't sure Theo could stand stable enough to use the platform without a disaster. "The floo connection is upstairs in my office," he explained. "And I can grab the healing kit from the upstairs bar." He thought there was probably one in his office too but he hadn't had to use it in so long that he'd forgotten where he'd stuck it.

Part of Theo's attention was locked on Charlie's wand, tracing the movements and tense in case it came his way, but it was all instinctive; the very fact that he was listening to Charlie at all spoke to the trust that was there.

He was touched at Charlie's offer but torn between being a bother by having to be levitated or being a bother by taking forever to walk up the stairs. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before shaking his head. "It's okay, I can handle the stairs." he assured, pushing the pain from his feet to the back of his mind and shutting it off, compartmentalising in a way that was too easy for him to not have done it before. "I'll follow you." he offered, not wanting to slow Charlie down. He was still groggy from sleep and nothing seemed real. He was still twitchy with tension and his body flinched involuntarily from time to time.

"Er, actually you don't need to handle the stairs," he said. "I had an access platform put in not long ago. You can stand or sit on it and say the appropriate word and it'll get you up the stairs without having to climb," he said. Normally he used it himself but he had a feeling that at the moment he was far more able to climb the stairs than Theo. It didn't look elegant, sure, but that hardly mattered when the club was empty. In fact he didn't use it too much when there weren't people around.

Nevertheless he started to lead the way to the stairs, and inevitably his office. He walked relatively slowly and waited at the door to he main club, holding it open for Theo and indicating that they were heading left and up the stairs. The platform was helpfully already at the bottom of the stairs.

"It's a completely smooth ride," he said, gesturing to the brightly coloured square which fitted seamlessly with the floor (and had a tile rise to fill the gap when it was in use), "But if you'd rather sit on it I'm pretty sure it would work." He told Theo the word, also prominently displayed in the instructions on the wall, unsure if he needed glasses or was able to see in the dimmish light. Realising this he flicked his wand at the lighting on the stairs too. He could light the rest of the lights from the upper landing. It wasn't like any of the rooms here had windows to let light in, not even his office. He could have got a magical one in there, or even a real one, but it had always seemed a bit pointless when most of the business took place at night.

Theo was having trouble getting his head around the concept but he nodded anyway, hoping he could jump it as it came round the corner. He followed Charlie at a pace that can't have been comfortable, but he was well used to working through pain. He thanked Charlie like it wasn't a strange time at night and he hadn't wandered down the street while he was asleep, stopping when he saw the tile that must have been the platform Charlie had been talking about. Any other time and Theo would have been all over the thing, his curiosity vicious to know about the mechanics of the magic platform; as it was, just walking was an exertion. Even so, he was fascinated by what Charlie was telling him and tried to retain it.

He twitched at the flick of Charlie's wand to turn the lights on but didn't realise he had. "I'm okay to stand on it." he reassured, moving to do so. "Are you coming too?" He didn't know if the platform could take two.

"Oh, um, no. I can walk up the stairs fine," Charlie said. Although the platform was big enough for two people it wasn't what you'd call roomy. "Nobody around for me to bump into," he explained. He could have shared the platform but he'd always thought that that level of proximity (outside of emergencies) was usually limited to people you knew a lot better or wanted to know a lot better. Theo applied in neither category as far as Charlie was concerned. Actually nobody applied in the latter.

He gestured that Theo should say the word since it only worked when you were actually on top of the platform. He moved forward and began to climb the stairs. These days it was a fairly fast operation, unlike when he'd been first learning to use his new leg. He swung his right hip out and up, gripping the handrail for extra support. In a narrower staircase he could use two handrails to make it even quicker, but this method worked just fine since his false knee didn't bend correctly for stairs. It was only a little ungainly, although he wasn't usually being observed by a single person, which felt admittedly odd. He didn't really like that level of observation of his disability by a virtual stranger. At least not in a non-business setting.

Reaching the top he flicked his wand to light the dead space between the double set of doors they needed to pass and the room beyond. He was really wishing that his office wasn't on the opposite side of the room. At least the stairs came out pretty near the back corner opposite that.

Theo was relieved that he hadn't managed to offend Charlie by his question as he hadn't wanted to imply that he thought Charlie was incapable, at least in the parts of his brain that were still aware enough to be socially awkward; they were depressing numerous. He stood firm, albeit a little gingerly, on the platform and watched Charlie begin to climb the stairs at first before looking down and cautiously voicing the word that would make the platform rise. He wobbled a bit as it moved but managed to keep his feet under him until the platform reached the top, his attention mostly on the way the magic worked and keeping his balance more than putting Charlie under study.

He felt exhausted by the time the platform got there, as though it had been using his energy to move, and he stumbled when he stepped off the platform, steadying himself with a hand against the wall, jumping a little at the use of Charlie's wand and not even energetic enough to berate himself for doing so yet again. He took a deep breath and seemed to gather himself again, stepping forward. "It's a nice piece of magic." he commented about the platform, trying to keep his mind on moving forward and not letting it get away with fading out.

Because Charlie had gone ahead he didn't see Theo's wobble, and by the time he reached the head of the stairs and turned, ahead of the slow progress of the platform, Theo was stable and nearly caught up with him.

Charlie's arm had automatically reached out to catch Theo as he stumbled, even though he wasn't quite close enough to be effective, but it was late and he'd been heading home to sleep so his reaction times were a little slowed and Theo had already managed to catch himself.

"Thanks, Dominic Chambers did all the work on that and the area downstairs that blocks out a lot of sound," he said. He hesitated for a moment after holding open the first door for Theo. "Would you like an arm?" he offered. Clearly Theo was struggling but he'd flinched from touch earlier and Charlie didn't want to push. "We've gotta get through that next door and across the floor to get to my office for the Floo."

Theo forced himself not to cringe away from Charlie's outstretched arm because he was suddenly angry with himself for being such a coward about a simple thing like human touch. The thing that had haunted him and run him down in his dreams wasn't there (anymore), wasn't real (for all intents and purposes) and he could handle being touched by someone who was offering him help damnit! He wasn't touched and he cursed himself again for feeling relief.

Dominic again? Theo needed to have a sit down and a chat with that guy; he was sure he was some kind of genius and if he could figure out a way to stop Theo wandering off into other places at night Theo would owe him one. "He's a clever kid." Theo commented aloud, sincerely too. He managed to make it to the opened door when Charlie offered and as much as Theo was annoyed at himself for being so fragile - a display of weakness that his dad would have broken some bones for - he didn't want to refuse Charlie's openly offered kindness, or act as though he was worried about his weight tugging at Charlie who he knew had a bad leg.

His feet were still bleeding now and again and he knew walking across to the office was going to hurt. "Thank you." he accepted, gingerly moving forward but clearly unsure of what to do; no one had offered him help like this before.

"Yeah, he's great. Far more creative with charms and spellwork than I've ever been," Charlie enthused. Charlie was far more competent at spellwork than people sometimes seemed to think. They saw his bulk and the fact he used to work with dragons, and tattoos, and nightclub ownership and just seemed to think he was a little lacking magic or brains wise. People tended not to realise just how much spellwork went into keeping dragons in check. And a lot of the people he dealt with these days were too young to realise he'd been a good student of everything aside from Arithmancy. He'd just never been much for creating new things or combinations.

He smiled kindly at Theo and gestured to his left side. "You want to stay on this side, I don't want to accidentally stamp on your foot with this," he said, patting his right thigh lightly. "Um, you can either lean on my arm like so," he said, holding his elbow out so that Theo could grip onto it somewhat like a pair of regency ladies 'taking a walk'. "Or you could put your arm around my waist and I'll do the same. I'd say stick your arm around my neck but the height difference might make that more uncomfortable, unless you'd prefer it. Basically fucking anything that's going to let you lean some weight on me. I'm perfectly stable." That last was said in a reassuring manner.

Once Theo had sorted himself out as he wished Charlie tried to take as much of his weight as he'd allow as they moved slowly through the short corridor which blocked the noise between the floors and through the second set of doors before they moved on into the main room. He was doing his best to allow Theo to set a pace which worked for him.

For his part, Theo was interested in the theoretical side of magic, but few things came into physical fruition from his theorising. He saw a talented mind in Dominic, but he didn't discount his current company either; he'd seen what Charlie was coping with and he'd seen the wards up around the club.

He nodded that he would and was a little overwhelmed with the options he had here. He ended up, very tentatively and uncertainly, putting his arm around Charlie's waist; he didn't want to drag on Charlie's good side on his arm with his weight, regardless of how stable Charlie was, and Charlie was right there was no way he was going to be able to comfortably put his arm around his shoulders.

The casual use of the f-word gave him pause until he parsed out that it didn't mean anything and his stupid brain could come away from battlestations. He used Charlie's help to get through the corridor and on into the main room, moving steadily alongside the other man. "I'm really sorry about this." he repeated. "I imagine you should be at home right now, right? I'm sorry."

Charlie was actually surprised that Theo would put an arm around his waist because he'd definitely flinched away from his touch earlier. Then again reaching out was very different than someone reaching out to you. He nodded slightly and then, carefully telegraphing his movements, reached his left arm up and over Theo's head and gently wrapped his arm around Theo, coming to rest around roughly his shoulders and upper back. "You really can lean on me," he reassured. In all honesty he rather suspected he probably could have picked Theo up and carried him, but I had a feeling that it would go down roughly like insulting a Hippogryff.

"Yeah, probably, but I'd rather see you safe than leave you to the shitty people who usually turn up in the middle of the night around here," he said. Knockturn Alley might have become Monument Alley but there were still a few hints of the previous incarnation clinging around the edges and they tended to come out at night. "And it's not like I'd be asleep yet," he said.

They forged their way slowly across the room and entered the area by the bathrooms, where Charlie's office could be found behind additional wards at the right end of the area, just beyond the men's toilets. He could go and grab the healing kit from the bar while he left Theo against the wall waiting. He'd put him in the spare chair in his office but he didn't really know Theo and as much as his instincts said he was trustworthy he felt it would be a bad business move.

"Hey, can I leave you here a sec? I need to go grab the kit, and I think it's either locked down or behind the locked door and I don't want to try summoning it." He gestured to the wall opposite the men's toilet entrance. Thankfully magic was pretty good at dissipating smells so it was FAR better smelling than the muggle equivalent might be. "My office is just through that door, but I need to take down the extra wards."

Theo still flinched down a little as Charlie's arm lifted up, but the fact that he easily saw it coming helped him relax at the motion even if the feeling of someone's arm around him made him feel a strange combination of tingling surprise and fluttering panic. He really was reassured by Charlie though, not just by his words but by the tone of his voice. He found that he could let some weight rest against Charlie who hadn't lied to him and took it easily. It was a huge display of trust for Theo and he wasn't even sure how he was able to do this.

Charlie's comment made him tense up again and swallow hard as his stomach turned. He had been running from a beast in his dreams that would have done worse to him when it caught up than any mortal man could, but he still didn't want to go through that again, not now his dad was dead, not now that he was supposed to be free from that.

He'd greyed around the edges a little but came back to himself in time to catch what Charlie was saying. "Thank you for taking the trouble." he said sincerely.

He found it was a lot easier to move around with Charlie's help, even though a voice that sounded like his dad's was in the back of his mind telling him not to get used to it. He was too tired to fight though and he just let it berate him as they moved across the room. He nodded that he was okay to be left and leaned up against the wall. "Of course, I appreciate it." he said, surprised but grateful that Charlie was going through all this trouble for him.

He wasn't able to stand for very long though, even with the wall at his back and between one blink and another he found himself seated on the floor again. He didn't even bother trying to get up, just rested his head back against the wall and sighed, angry with himself for all of this.
