Journal: Melinda
A little girl and her mother came into the shop today. While I was packing up their order, the little girl noticed two tubs labelled 'Sorbet' and wanted to know what that was. Our little talk of different sorts of frozen treats lead to her talking about all the ice lollies she was going to eat when summer came, and we could easily agree that the orange ice lollies by far are the best.

Afterwards I got to wondering; I know I have tastes that I associate with summer, like strawberry and elderflower, but what about you?

Dark pink grapefruit. It's strange, but I can't get enough.

Also, Nutella. From spending summers in Italy as a boy.

Ooh, dark pink grapefruit! Nothing strange about that. That taste manages to be both sweet, bitter and fresh at the same time.

And Nutella is a good chocolate'y alternative to the dark chocolate that is better suited for the colder months. I've never used it, though, seeing as how I prefer to make my own, but the taste... good ones.
