Flying
I feel like a kid just discovering climbing trees for the first time. In the last few weeks I've had my first taste of flying horses and my first real taste of flying brooms. I don't know which I liked better! I could probably afford both but I've only got time for lessons in one or the other, though. Can I get broom flying lessons anywhere other than Hogwarts, or should I go with the Smith family's flying horses?

Having to make this decision is several kinds of surreal!

I did love the horse. I always wanted to ride as a little girl, but there was no way we'd have been able to afford lessons.

It seems like Luna Lovegood may also be interested in riding lessons. If so, you two could possibly be in the same class. Not that I care. I just think I've no idea how familiar you are with her and vice versa, but I found it interesting you were both looking into flying lessons of some kind around the same time, though it does lend itself to possibly making a friend and having a familiar face if you do want to learn.

If you do end up wanting to, you can send an owl to Ravenwood Farm for more information, which I realise you may already have that information from the other weekend since there was information provided. But I thought it was worth mentioning again just in case.

The Aethonans (the ones that were used for rides around Hogsmeade) are really nice horses to learn on, too.The Granians are also nice but are fast so they're better if you're experienced and wanting to go fast. There are some Abraxans and Thestrals, but they aren't often included in lessons, especially since not everyone can see Thestrals or trusts them, and it's actually illegal to travel by them, so most people don't see a point in learning to ri except maybe as references to allow people to be familiar with the other breeds. Not that you can legally ride Thestrals as a proper means of transportation. Not that you care. I'm just My mother's family just likes to show of My mother's family just likes to be informative to ensure all students and potential students have a proper understanding of winged-horses and the laws regulating them.

But I digress. I'll leave you to think about it and good luck making your decision!

I don't think I know her, but that sounds great - thank you.

I wouldn't mind going fast, I don't think, but it can wait until I don't feel like I'm going to fall off everytime I go round a corner! I'm definitely going to write, so thanks for all the extra information. Now I have a better idea of what to ask for.

How are you anyway, Zacharias?
