A lazy morning was just what Cormac needed. The stress of actually having an employee and actually being a boss was more than he'd expected, and worse was still working the floor in the evenings. More paperwork and money, but the same work he'd been doing before as well.

He rolled over in bed, the stress waking him earlier than he'd hoped, and he sighed. Maybe he'd get up and make them breakfast, but the thought of getting out of bed just didn't motivate him. So he wrapped an arm around Lavender, buried his nose in her hair, and breathed deeply, trying to relax and get back to sleep.

	"It's alright.," Lavender murmured, keeping her eyes mostly closed. It felt early, she thought, but she wasn't going to look at any sort of timepiece because as soon as she did she knew it would wrench her out of his lovely little bubble of timelessness in Cormac's arms. Cormac hummed his happiness, and kissed her hair lightly. "I'd love to but I don't think it's going to happen," he admitted with a sigh.

"I'm sorry things have been hectic, I know work is intense for you and I'd hoped things would calm down on my end so I could be a bit more of... I don't know," he breathed in her scent and moved his body closer to his. He wanted to be a constant in her life, where her work was dangerous and timeless and her schedule more hectic than his, but he was learning as he went with running a business, and it turned out the learning curve was a bigone.

Lavender made a soft noise of agreement, swallowing down a yawn. At a certain point, you just had to admit that you were awake. "Nor me."

Removing her hand from atop his, Lavender reached back to press her hand to his strong thigh. "Don't worry about it. Work will calm down for me." They were about due a lull, Lavender thought. She smiled against the pillow, shifting a little to get comfortable. "Have I told you how proud I am of you lately?"
