Journal - No scratching
I am very glad my new tattoo is healing well. I am far less glad it's reached the itching stage. It's fine when I have stuff to do but I don't have much to do today and it is SO itchy. I am avoiding scratching and all that shit, but I need to find a distraction.

That said, anyone who is looking into getting a tattoo I thoroughly recommend Pinky's Ink, mine looks amazing and Stacey was awesome and accommodating of all the weirdness that comes with tattooing an amputation site.

And now the weather is finally getting better I need to try out new things if anyone has suggestions for adventures. I can start running properly again, but that isn't exciting.

Stacey is awesome and is amazing at what she does.

If you're just at home not doing anything, could you put gloves or mittens on? It makes you more aware of your hands so you won't accidentally scratch. My mum used to do it whenever we had chicken pox.

Chicken pox? Like dragon- never mind Thanks. Now my cat has discovered a new game: try and pull my gloves off and hide them. And I can't move quick enough on my crutches to catch where they're going. Good idea though.

Are you serious? You're a wizard. Try summoning them so you don't have to chase down your cat. Unless your gloves have an anti-summoning-jinx on them, or your cat can suddenly do enough magic to prevent them from being summoned, it should work. It always works with my cats when they snatch things they shouldn't.

I would but the little git likes to hide and play with them and I'm pretty sure I'll end up with a yowling cat because they caught on his claws or something. I'll get them back when he's sleeping where I can see him.

Aww, thank you so much!! It was my pleasure!

The itching is the worst part, but on the bright side that means it's almost done healing! I'm sure I don't need to tell you not to pick at it when the scabbing starts.

Yeah, I'll avoid picking, no matter how fucking tempting. I'll have to grab some of the salve shit I've used before to help with the itching.

That's an excellent plan! If you need any more, we've got some in the parlor I can owl you.

Could you owl it to me actually? When I said grab I meant go out and grab, and probably not until tomorrow.

Shit, no, you're not working are you. Never mind. I'll go tomorrow. Don't want to put you out.

No worries!! It'll be on its way shortly - I don't mind in the least.

Well, I don't know what you've tried but I'd bet between us we can think of something in the muggle world that would be more interesting than running.

I wasn't really up to much this time last year and before then most of my adventures were dragon related. I've tried rock climbing in the past but I don't think that will work with my new leg, even if it was fun. I'll probably still run, but I'd like to try out some other stuff too.

I'm pretty sure you know the muggle world better than me though, so if you have any suggestions let me know.

I don't know how impressive it'll be after working with dragons - but have you ever been to a safari park? It's not adrenaline-rush exciting, but it could definitely be interesting. They've got animals from all over the (muggle) world in huge exhibits that mimic their natural habitat and you can drive right through without any bars between you and the animals.

Once it gets warmer I think there's a few places in the UK that do white-water-rafting and other water-based activities that I'd imagine you could do with your leg.

I've done the dragons thing, and yes it is still exciting to think about, but I'm looking for a new adventure and Safari Parks sound like a lot of fun. I went to London Zoo as part of the St Patrick's thing, and that was pretty fun, but I like the idea of animals being pretty free.

And water-based things sound fun, and if I can sit down for whatever I'm usually fine. Sometimes it'll mean leaving my prosthetic off altogether, or modifying it a bit, but that does sound good.

We should go, then. The one I've been to is Longleat, but I think there are others. I've got a car - if you can stand the drive to get there. Or else I think they do take you through on buses, if you want.

Once it gets a bit warmer, I'll do my research on water-based things too.

I've considered one, and might still, but I haven't a good choice yet. Ah well. I'm glad you're healing well.

Especially with your first it's something you want to have a good idea about it first. Doesn't mean you shouldn't look places out, but you should be sure.

And thank you.

Glad it's healing up, bossman! I need to go see her sometime, I've had an idea for a tattoo for some time.

You should! If you've already got an idea that's even better.

Glad you're back from your trip safe. See you later in the week.
