"Oh sweet Merlin's balls that was horrible. I mean, I know our choices are pretty limited but I have definitely seen better fluffy teen girl films," Dean groused as he and Seamus exited the cinema.

They had been intending to go and see Robots but due to delays on Dean's part and some confusion about the actual film time (Dean had mis-calculated how long the adverts would be) they had missed the start of the film and decided to plump for the other option that was pretty much guaranteed to be Dean-safe. Ice Princess had been completely Dean safe... and sadly sub-par.

The whole rush at the start had meant no time for talking, just some rapid travel and some running. "So then," Dean said, looking pointedly at Seamus. "How was the date?" It had been a while since he'd got to pester Seamus about dates since whatever was going on with Justin didn't count. Or it never had as far as Seamus told him.

“I do!” Seamus insisted as they started to cross the road. “Sometimes. Nearly all the time! Just… sometimes I take them in the pub. Or there’s an activity I have to watch or –“ The problem was that there was almost always something to keep him within the walls of his pub, and convincing himself his time would be better spent elsewhere only really happened if there was someone to go with. He scuffed his trainer against the pavement as they reached the other side of the road. They didn’t quite have holes in, not yet, but he couldn’t remember if he’d got any kind of enchantment on them to keep them in one piece. If not, maybe it was time to add one. “Is that a thing?” he asked. “’Cause I don’t know anyone with lots of capital who’s just waiting for the right idea. Does that even happen?” He’d be happy to give the ideas away, as long as it got them out of his head.

He ducked into the Burger King just as a group of teenagers spilled out onto the street. “You want to eat it here?” he asked, pointing at one of the tables they’d just left. “I can grab us seats and you can get the food. You know what I like.” Seamus had brought muggle money with him, but he’d spent a lot of it on cinema tickets and the popcorn (if he was going to insist on sweet, he figured he could at least pay).

"It really doesn't count!" Dean countered, and he was very decisive about the fact that taking time off in your actual workspace didn't count. Possibly disregarding his tendency to sleep on the sofa in his studio when he was in a particular groove or needed to finish something. "You're the one who actually has a successful business not me!" he said holding his hands up because he had no idea. "Yes, I know the studio sort of counts but you know I only bought into that after I finished my apprenticeship," he said. "You should look into seeing if it's a thing, because it's a great idea and it's not like either of us have the spare time or money to set it up."

Dean shrugged, "Sure we can do," he said, waving Seamus in the direction of the table. He grinned at the suggestion he go and order and waggled his eyebrows. "Yup, spiciest thing I can see," he said, laughing and holding up his hands to show he was joking. "Kidding, kidding, something with cheese and bacon, and don't go mad on the drinks," he said, knowing from long friendship that Seamus would probably eat most of the things on the menu but neither of them really wanted a large drink after they'd been to the cinema. It was what made outings like this easy as well as fun.
