Kiss Me I'm Irish
Who: Seamus and OPEN
What: Drunken!Seamus (at last)
Where: Finnigan's / Wingbeat
When: Thursday 19th, afternoon til late
Rating: SFW - for now

OOC: I've got a Finnigan's thread and a Wingbeat thread. Someone please come play with me :-D

St Patrick's Day itself had been a relatively sober day for Seamus - though not for many of his customers; a fact he planned to make up for in full tonight. No Irishman should ever struggle to remember the last time he got drunk, and yet Seamus honestly couldn't put a date to it. After working the morning shift, Seamus-the-boss said his goodbyes and disappeared upstairs to change into his 'Kiss Me I'm Irish' t-shirt and a slightly nicer pair of jeans. While he was there, he managed to knock up some lunch and leave out water and a hangover potion for when he got back. He was taking the whole afternoon and evening off today, but he'd need to be in work as usual tomorrow so best to be prepared.

An hour and change later, he reappeared in Finnigan's Common Room - this time as a customer. It was still early afternoon, the pub not yet busy with its post-work crowd, and so Seamus slid up to the customer side of the bar. "First round's on me!" he declared. "I think I'll start with a Guinness and then work my way up."

"'Course they are," Seamus agreed, nodding enthusiastically despite the fact he hadn't even made it to the bar yet. "It's Paddy's day. Sort of." He had no objection to stretching out the holiday as long as possible - and a Thursday night just made the most sense for him personally, if he couldn't celebrate properly on the day itself. He looked around at the press of people on every side, none close enough to be a problem but all laughing and dancing and having fun. He grinned - delighted by the sheer number of people in green, even two days after the event.

His gaze turned back to the woman in front of him - belatedly recognising her from chess club. "Millicent, right?" Had he been sober, he'd have been a lot more sure of his claim - he was, actually, good with faces and names of his customers, as well as knowing that his regulars drank. Right now, though, the world was pleasantly fuzzy around the edges and she could have been Millicent, or Melissa, or perhaps even Malory. "Can I get you a drink?" he asked, forgetting for a moment that this whole conversation had begun because she already had one. Not to be defeated when realisation did come, he added, "It's lucky to be bought a drink by a proper Irishman on Paddy's day." He was making that up completely, but what the hell? He was cheerful and generous and there were green drinks to be bought and kisses to be exchanged!
