"Hyperion Montgomery?" Pansy asked, turning to look at Greg. "Pandora's Gryffindor Auror brother?" Her voice took on an incredulous tone, though she fought to keep any annoyance out of it. She'd long since come to understand that Gregory Goyle did not have a good head for details. Even details as important as men who would be marriageable if not for a few unfortunate details. "No, darling, there were no Hyperions in Slytherin."
Resigned now to teaming up with a Gryffindor of all people, Pansy looked around for Hyperion. Who she spotted, sitting next to her third least favorite person in the world. Harry bloody Potter. Of course. As if this day could get any worse than this. "Potter's here with Hyperion," she hissed towards Greg, though she made sure her expression was neutral. She'd never give Potter the satisfaction of seeing her nerves. Not wanting either Hyperion or Potter to think that she and Greg would back out once it was realized who exactly it was they'd inadvertently teamed up with, she took Greg's arm and steered in him the Auror's direction, striding across the room as if she owned it.
"Hyperion, darling, it's so good to see you," she said, smiling warmly in Hyperion's direction and ignoring Potter altogether.
