Who: Marietta and Seamus
What: Sharing ideas
Where: Finnigan's
When: Thrusday mid-afternoon
Rating: SFW

Ever since the day she stood in front of WWW and realized that she wasn't the only one who didn't necessarily fit properly into the world around them. Not that she was making assumptions about Goyle, quite the contrary, she had simply come to a realization about herself. Ever since the incident with the DA she had felt ostracized and the Weasley's had been a big part of that whether they did so on purpose or not.

It was that realization that had her here today. Marietta knew she needed to stop and take control over something before she spiraled away from everything. She had tried on her own to invite people to join in on things but if there was one thing she knew it was that to succeed where most of these people were concerned she had to play the part. It was not playing the part that had separated her out in the first place. Seamus Finnigan was just the person she needed to help her step out and do something.

With a book she'd pulled from the shelves at the shop and an initial idea in her head she made her way to the pub when she finished her morning shift. Once there she took a seat at the bar and waited for Seamus to make his way over toward her.

"Nothing too involved, just a few race type tasks. Things like dressing in Muggle clothes or completing a timed activity." She hadn't quite worked out all the details. "But I do know I want an obstacle course of some sort for the first one. I was thinking something with tables and chairs." She had put a few other ideas in her notes. She moved the sheet so Seamus could see the various ideas she'd written down.

She waited a bit for him to look over everything. "I love the idea of naming a drink after the winners," she nodded in agreement. "Maybe as a temporary item so it doesn't lose its charm." She didn't know for sure how that would work but if it was something that would be a repetitive prize she wondered if it would have the same emphasis for later winners if the previous winners drinks were kept on the menu.

Curiosity satisfied, for the moment, Seamus focused his attention on the sheet, nodding over her outlined ideas. "Sounds pretty good," he said, smiling. He liked when people brought him ideas, and it didn't happen all that often. It might not take off, sometimes groups started that fizzled out within a few months, but anything he could add to the schedule to get more customers in the door was good news for him.

He grinned. "We could always make it a summer thing," he suggested. "I'd guess ice cream cocktails and the rest of these things wouldn't sell so well in winter. That gives us a good few months to come up with something else. If you want to keep it running that long, of course." His brain was still ticking, as it so often did. "Maybe next month we could do something in the garden." He didn't mean to keep harping on it, but it seemed like something that might bring both their aims together. "Or save it for July or August and do something messy with water, to help everyone cool off." Already, he was thinking of a water fight - with some kind of prize for the winning team, though how that would even be judged he wasn't sure.
