RP: Caught in the rain
Who: Lavender Brown, OPEN
What: Lavender does some food shopping
Where: Monument Alley
When: Sunday
Rating: SFW, most likely

As long as Lavender wasn't working on Sunday evenings, it had become comfortable routine for her to go to Cormac's in the evening and spent time with him once he had finished doing the books for the week. Tonight she wanted to cook dinner to take with her too, but it had been a busy week at work and when she had looked in her cupboards earlier, they had been embarrassingly bare.

Unfortunately she'd been caught in a shower of rain almost as soon as she left the shop, both hands carrying bags so that she couldn't reach her wand to put up a charm. She made it halfway down Monument Alley before one of the paper bags split and a punnet of strawberries made their escape onto the cobbles. Rain trickling down her nose, Lavender sighed, resigned. "Well, damn."

Cormac smiled and nodded his head, "It did," he agreed. "But you didn't have to pick up groceries, too, surely there's something in the pantry we could have done fine with?" He cocked his head thinking, "then again, maybe not."

As much as he loved Lavender, his flat still looked very much like a bachelor lived alone in it.

"Come on," he said, "let's get you out of here," he ushered her down the sidewalk toward his flat and shielded her as much as he could.

"My kitchen was painfully empty," Lavender remarked, shaking her head. "I guessed that yours might be the same." She didn't think anything had been totally ruined by the rain, so at least they would get a good dinner tonight. Hopefully she hadn't forgotten anything for the spaghetti bolognese, as she didn't much fancy venturing out in this weather again.

With Cormac now holding the bags of groceries, Lavender took charge of opening the door, flashing him a grin as it swung open. "So how was your run?" she asked, slipping quickly inside to allow him to enter too. The rain was already easing off, though it didn't look as though the sky was going to get any brighter.
