A Day for Errands
Who: Charlie Weasley and Hyperion Montgomery
What: Errands and a chance meeting
Where: Monument Alley (assorted), beginning near Quickpulse.
When: Friday, 13. February, 2005
Rating: ?NSFW - language possible

The massive benefit of Charlie's work hours was that he didn't work when most of the shops were open so he never needed to take the day off to get his errands done (even if sometimes he kind of wanted to if he had something to do on working days). Today it was pet food. He was looking short of owl treats and Nebula was getting huffy about the slightly crushed ones from the bottom of the pack, and Echo seemed to have a bottomless stomach and little inclination to leave the flat and find mice to fill himself up. So he'd called in at The Bestiary and was carrying a large bag with catfood and some owl treats as well as a jingly bell trapped in a ball for Echo to drive him mad with (no illusions there).

Next on his list was ducking into Quickpulse to have a word with Romilda about his cooking plans for the weekend because she'd already ducked out by the time he was feeling functional. He didn't call into the shop very often because aside it mostly not being geared at things he was interested in, it also potentially gave people the wrong impression. Not that Romi refrained from the odd suggestion to him. He was yet to take her up on any of them, but he had considered it.

"Thanks!" he called, closing the door behind him and hefting the bag of cat food back up into his arms. He was heading for Diagon Alley now, in need of a couple of things more, and considering heading into the bookshop for something new, hoping there might be something not romance-related on offer.

Charlie wandered over to the kitchen, pleased to hear that Hyperion was clearly getting on with Echo. Not that Echo had ever seemed especially standoffish or picky about being friends with strangers, but he was still a cat. "He has good taste," he confirmed.

"You want coffee, or tea?" he asked. He'd been well-trained by his mother. Always give guests a choice. He would have offered alcohol too, but given the hour and the fact he was working later that wasn't a good plan. "And how'd you take it?" Whichever option would require hot water and he flicked his wand to fill the kettle and set it to boil on the stove.

He opened the cupboard and put the cat food away, rather thankful that Echo was currently distracted by a visitor as he often took the arrival of food as an opportunity to try and con more food out of Charlie.

He leaned back against the counter as he waited for the kettle to boil. "Right, stories. I promised three right? Let's start with most actual body hair because it's the funniest," he said, clapping his hands together and rubbing them in anticipation. "So you know we have LGBTQ night now? Mostly it looks like any other night apart from the couples tend to be a bit more same-sex, right? Well, that isn't always the case. I've been to a couple of Muggle gay clubs before so I wasn't too shocked, but a few of the other purebloods got a bit of a shock at the few folks dressed in a more extreme manner," he said carefully, trying to assess Hyperion's familiarity with the scene.
