Bending down to return the kiss to Dora's cheek, Marcus was still slightly amused at the height difference between them - he was accustomed to being taller than most people, especially women, but the top of Dora's head barely reached his chest. He had to imagine that to someone else, they looked to be an extremely mismatched pair.
"I haven't exactly been around for hunting down," he told her as they sat. "I just got back into my flat about a week and a half ago." After everything they'd gone through together in the war, he didn't feel any hesitation about explaining his absence, albeit in a rather succinct manner.
