Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:character: ernie macmillan, character: justin finch-fletchley, character: susan bones

Who: Justin and OPEN

What: Justin's relaxing a little (yeah right).

Where: Finnigan's

When: Sunday evening

Rating: Pretty sure it's SFW

Justin sat at the bar, an ale at hand. He was finally done with his shifts for the week and was ready to enjoy at least a whole day of 'me' time. Not enough to actually get drunk, but just a little time around people before he locked himself up in his flat with nothing else but peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a good book. Maybe he'd read that Jane Austen book he had borrowed a while ago.

"Am I the only one who only heard about the cupboards without ending up in one?" He asked, worried. Had he really been that late on the bandwagon. But what could he do about it now, huh? He was a late bloomer and there as nothing else he could do.

"You cannot just leave us like that, you know." He told his friend, one of his eyebrow raised in questioning. "You know how curious I get.."

Justin's mind drifted away for a moment, then blushed when he realized his had been distracted.

Ernie patted Justin's shoulder. "Hey, it's never too late to make use of a handy cupboard. I found it's more 'what's handy at the time' rather than 'I really want to shag in a cupboard'."

Ernie too had a raised eyebrow, always wanting to hear about his friends' romantic lives to see where he could meddle. "Justin's right, spill it."

He did chuckle at Susan's last statement, though. "Were you a male, I would gladly submit to your taking," he joked back. But you didn't answer the question - what's happening, and what do you need?"

"Speak for yoursel," Susan said with a definite smirk, taking a swig of her drink.

She smiled like a kneazle who'd just eaten a snidget. "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies," she replied. "But seriously I have sworn a solemn oath to a brother Chevalier of the Aurors, I can't just break something like that."

"Hmmm, I'm having dinner at mine around eight o'clock, you can bring something delicious if you like? Edgar will be there with his new girlfriend, which is weird. Nineteen year old brother's shouldn't have girlfriends."

"Aww, that's no fun!" he told Susan, giving her his best pout. "You'll just keep it for yourself? That's definitely not fair." He shook his head and sighed dramatically. It was obvious that he was kidding.

"Can it be something bought?" Justin was hopeless in the kitchen, but he didn't want to be rude and not bring something. "I'll bring dessert, it'll look home made.."

Ernie turned his faux put-out expression to Justin. "She doesn't trust us, after all we've done for her. These kids are so ungrateful these days."

He chuckled at Susan's comment about Edgar. "Should he have brought a boyfriend instead? And you talk as if you never had a girlfriend, or boyfriend, at nineteen. Merlin, how many of us had more than that by then." His eyes lit up, however, at Justin's mention of dessert. "Oh yeah, definitely something with chocolate, maybe with cherries or strawberries..." His eyes went dreamy as he trailed off.
