Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:character: adrian pucey, character: tristan travers

RP: it's been years.
Who: Adrian and Tristan
What: Drinks and catching at Adrian's
Where: Adrian's flat in Monument
When: Monday evening
Rating: SFW (if not I'll change)

Adrian was true to his word. Take away pub fare (under a warming charm) and a very good bottle of aged Bushmills awaited his friend Tristan. He wasn't quite sure if Alicia would mind him cavorting with a convicted Death Eater, and so he hadn't mentioned it to her, but he was still excited (well, as excited as Adrian got) to see his old friend.

He closed the door to his lab and tidied up the rest of the flat before hopping in the shower and changing into a casual sweater and jeans as opposed to his potions robes. After a quick spell to dry his hair, he grabbed a bottle of beer and settled onto his couching waiting for Tristan to arrive.

Adrian smiled as he went down from his flat and opened the door, "Tristan!" He greeted his old school friend genuinely, none of the grumpy exterior visible now, but he didn't reach out for the young man, just in case. All of the wizarding world had of course heard of the horrors of Azkaban, and he didn't know how Tristan was doing back in society, so didn't want to push anything.

"Come on in," he nodded his head back and headed up the stairs, hearing the door shut closed behind them. "I'm glad you found the place, you've got me thinking I should probably have some sort of shop sign out there, but I don't consider myself a story, so I never really considered a sign, either," he shrugged and opened the upstairs door to his flat and holding the door open for Tristan.

"I hope you don't mind fish and chips and salad? I wasn't sure what to get, so I went simple." Adrian felt himself getting more nervous but held it together with a smile. He was just glad to see Tristan, if he were honest. When his friend had gone to prison, been convicted of the worst crime - being a Death Eater - he'd maintained his innocence and Adrian had believed him. Others had gotten off on the same defense, and Adrian felt there had been an inherent bias because Tristan was a Travers, but Adrian had known worse people in his life. His friend was a kid back then, and hadn't been screwed by a scared and desperate system, if you asked Adrian.

Tristan smiled as Adrian answered the door, then followed inside. As he followed Adrian up the stairs, he was happy to listen to him for a moment while taking in little bits and pieces of the building, then the inside of his friend's flat. "That sounds fine," he said, stepping aside so he didn't block the entrance. "The fish and chips and salad, as well as the sign." He grinned. His stomach gave a squeeze at the thought of the greasy fish and chips, but he'd already decided to make the effort to eat something so he decided both he and it would have to deal. Adrian didn't have to get food, after all. Adrian didn't even have to invite him over.

"Thanks for inviting me," he said, deciding to get that out of the way, though he was sincere in his thanks. He didn't even have to acknowledge Tristan, and he was thankful for that, even if that nervous feeling was creeping back into the pit of his belly. Instead of letting it fester, he added, "I'm sorry if I'm nervous or... or strange. It's been a long time, and, well, you're just so pretty." He grinned, easing his own internal tensions with the joke. Sure, Adrian wasn't a completely unattractive man, but Tristan hadn't had such thoughts about his friend.
