RP: paperwork & wine at the pub
WHO: Cho + OPEN.
WHEN: Thursday, November 13th, evening.
WHERE: Finnigan's Pub, Monument Alley.
WHAT: Cho is going over the month's books (every month by the 15th!) at the pub with a large glass of wine.
RATING: sfw.
STATUS: Ongoing.

Cho had a monthly tradition. Wine, accounting books, and receipts at the pub. Every month she paid her bills (her rent to Melinda's family and her business expenses to various venders and companies and of course the landlord Richard) in the third week, so she balanced everything before and after. All her receipts and muggle note pads and magic scrolls were spread out along her small table and her glass of Zinfandel balanced on top of her stack of recent ledgers. In truth, Cho sort of liked these evenings - it was quiet, and generally people would stop and say hello but they recognized she was working and she never had to put on her bright smile or her professional "social butterfly" persona for more than a moment or two. It nearly reminded her of marathon study sessions back at Hogwarts - her head bent over a book along with Mel and Mari, tucked into a corner of the library.

Of course here he had wine, which was infinitely better.

Taking the last sip of her glass she stood and went to the bar for her second, putting on a smile and also ordering a dinner of stuffed mushrooms and a tomato & mozzarella salad. With her new glass she headed back to the table and got back to work, hoping to at least finish with the inputs before her meal arrived.

Marietta hadn't been in the mood to cook her own dinner tonight so she headed to Finnigan's. She was fairly certain Cho would be there slaving away and may need rescuing.

Upon entering the pub she looked around and sure enough she found her. Sure, Cho's back was to her at the moment but Marietta would know her friend's posture anywhere. A smile lit her face as she approached but it quickly slid away as she neared. Sitting there across from Cho was a client she'd recently encountered. While nothing had happened other than a delightful evening at what could have easily been just another stuffy event, the fact that he had met her other persona wasn't something she was willing to confront at the moment.

Thankfully, she hadn't called out Cho's name in greeting and hopefully he didn't recognize her in a state of common dress. With that she turned to her left and chose a table that was close enough for her to watch to see when and if he left so she could talk to her friend without losing her secret.

As she was heading out for the night, Cho passed a table with a familiar head of curly hair. "Mari!" She exclaimed, feeling very cheerful and energized from her run in with Finbar.

"I didn't even notice you here, why didn't you come by?" From where she stood, Cho could easily see the table she'd been camped out at all night.

Marietta's dessert had just arrived. It wasn't something she usually treated herself to but she had really wanted to see her friend and ordering something sweet gave her an excuse to continue to hang around. It had been too long since they'd had time to just sit and talk.

"You seemed rather pre-occupied," she gave Cho the best go ahead and spill look she had. "Have a seat, I want to hear all about Mr. Handsome."
