Julian had come by the Foundation office to drop off some paperwork after taking one of the orphans out in Hogsmeade for the morning. Wallace bounded along at Julian's side, grinning a doggy smile and watching his Master for any hint as to what they might be doing next. The dog loved children and Julian tried to take him whenever he spent time with any of the kids - in his experience, animals healed most inner hurts, or at least gave people a non-judgemental presence with whom they could better deal with them.
As they walked down the corridor, he paused, spotting an unfamiliar face in one of the office. He knew just about everyone who worked for the foundation - had shagged a few and propositioned most of the others, so he tended to remember faces. He snapped his fingers and turned around, going back in the direction he'd come from to go to the office door. He leaned against the door jamb and slid his hands in his pockets, and he didn't have to look down to know that Wallace had sat down happily next to him.
"Hello there," he offered with a grin. "You're new here, I see."
