Delivery: Memo to Millicent
Mils,

Saw where Draco Malfoy is doing something or other business related in Europe. You want to see if you can land him as your first client?

I'll be back in the office briefly Tuesday evening and then on my regular schedule Wednesday through Friday. Got the contract.

Mils,

Just the usual whinging about getting Malfoy's signature on the bottom line before thing get too far along. Me being the worry wart and wanting everything to go smoothly for you.

Ugh. T is out the door. Don't can him, just send him back next door. Maybe he can handle domestic deals for one of the Senior Partners. Check out the new-hires and see if anyone strikes your fancy. Or I can end of the week.

I'll detour and see Mr. D in person. Time zones are in my favor. Sleep is for the weak.

G may be ready for a go at factor. His wardrobe needs work though. Saville Row? And run him by Legal to make sure his papers are in order.

Here's a thought for you. Is it time for you to take the other desk on my end of the office and start looking for someone to help you out full time?

Rich

Rich,

Signature on the bottom line, hard-copy plan in triplicate, and at least one business lunch before the end of the first month if he signs on with us. I don't know who's worrying more, you or me!

Next door has just the right contract for him, I'm told, and he starts tomorrow. While he's getting the details, I'll have his things packed up and taken over in the afternoon. Only natural if you're switching sides, so on, so on, so forth. Won't look at all like he's being sent away. The new crop's still finding their feet, but I think the Malaysian girl you hired on the other week, Delima, might suit. I'll keep an eye on her, and Ewan too. You should have the final say on this one, though.

Hopefully the coffee gods will be kind, and keep you supplied. I don't envy you that visit. Not a bit.

I'll make an appointment for him for next week, if his papers are in order. Antonio's on holiday, but I could send him to Marc?

I think if I assign some of the lighter things to one or two of the best of the new-hires, like following up with the new Prague client, it'd be helpful. Do you get a rush right before the winter hols? If so, I might need to think seriously about saying "yes," but if not, then it can wait until after the New Year.

Mils,

I never did have the contacts to do much in-country business. With any luck you can get our foot in the door.

Well played with Mr. T. Tell Delima I'd like to talk to her Friday afternoon and keep an eye on her. See how she handles the stress.

Marc will be fine. But talk it over with G and see if he'd prefer a less Rowish look. Jacques and Pierre in Paris did some of my Continental cut suits.

More like we never slow down that much. Different countries, different holidays. I'd like to take off the week of Christmas through New Years though. The Greek islands have been calling me since the seasons turned. Plan on getting time off as well. Don't think we have anything major pending then. The service can forward my calls if you can't find someone, but have you considered a blurb in the Finnegan's journal? Worked for me last time.

Rich
