Journal - Ack
I've rediscovered that fireworks are not my favorite things anymore. It's been a couple of years since I've been close enough to hear them going off. Watching is one thing, but I've decided to avoid future repetitions of being that close to them going off.

Also too busy to sleep. I love coffee. So. Much.

Being significantly taller helps.

Wow - that's - wow. I only get him one weekend a month, for now at least, but. I honestly have no idea what people do.

I feel like a complete plank for boggling over it, it's just never been part of my...culture? Or whatever? You go where the work is, and stay there til the work moves. And I've been doing that since sixteen. And I'm babbling

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest not oktoberfest. Anywhere.

Play tourist. I like doing that sometimes. Plus kids like strange new places, right? I did, at least, but we traveled some, too.

It is a cultural thing, I think? I know it seems as strange to you as the Muggle world often does to me. It's unimaginable at times that it doesn't occur that you can just do that, you know? Just like... doing dishes the Muggle way is not my first thought. You just wave a wand to set the spells going.

So noted! Though Germany has the best beer and sausages. You'd probably be surprised.
