Though she tried to keep a straight face, even Alicia had to give in and smile. The view of Adrian and the twins having fun the way they were made her wonder what she would have ever done without Adrian in her life. No, he wasn’t Daniel and he wasn’t around every day, just like he wasn’t part of any of the decisions that constantly had to be made, but he was a good balance and addition to what Alicia could offer them. And he was one of those unexpected friends that just couldn’t be explained, no matter how much she tried. He was Adrian.
“I believe we shall,” Alicia smiled back and shouldered the bag she had packed, before she picked up Liam and through a bit of Floo powder into the fire. “I’ll see you there,” she assured them, called out the address for the public Floo at the Portree Pitch, and held on tightly to Liam as they whirled through the system and giggling spun out on the other end. “I hope the cakes didn’t break!” Liam gasped with a grin and moved willingly when Alicia pulled him away from the fireplace and started brushing off the soot and ash.
Soon after the flames turned green again, and Alicia smiled brightly when Adrian and Isla came whirling out of the fireplace. “We were beginning to worry you’d taken a wrong turn.”
