If asked, Alicia couldn’t have told you why she had greeted Adrian the way she had. It didn’t really catch up with her until afterwards, when she chalked it up to having been caught by the playfulness that had filled the room. With a small, teasing smirk she shook her head. “No, I think I’ll let it slide. For today at least,” she said with an estimating nod. “Besides, it’s good to see that even your good taste is faulty.” She just managed to wink at him before he scooped Isla up.
Isla shook her head vigorously and tapped her chest to show off her own Puddlemere Jersey. “United rules!” she declared, pumping her little fist in the air with a giggle. “And Arrows!” Liam chimed in, racing up to take Adrian’s free hand leaving Alicia to fend for herself in this sea of mixed supporters.
“People’ll think it’s a League outing,” she muttered and followed them to the kitchen, where she poured the freshly brewed coffee into a heated thermos and added it to the bag that had already been packed with the harnesses, drinks, snacks and dry clothes for the kids and a selection of other necessities. “I asked them to leave the Floo open to us, so if me and Liam go first, you and Isla can follow?”
