Percy stood at the floo in the Leaky Cauldron with Lucy, about to step in, when she pulled on his robes and looked up at him pleadingly. "You have to do it now, before we get to Aunt Penny's. She needs to see your costume."
He sighed, wondering how he ever let her talk him into these things. The answer was simple - she was his daughter - but it was the principle of the thing. He just wished he'd kept a tighter hold on his books and old photographs.
He pulled out his wand and cast a charm on his robes, transforming them into ones that looked like the Beaubatons Boys' school uniform. Lucy had originally wanted him to wear the same one as her Aunt Fleur had worn, but he'd refused to wear a skirt or dress of any kind. His daughter looked up at him approvingly. "You look just like the pictures, Daddy. Now let's go!" She practically dragged him into the floo, and with a toss of powder, they were on their way to Penelope's home.
He walked through the grate with Lucy in tow, her wings and tail fluttering as she made to 'fly' out of the fireplace. "Look, Aunt Penny! I'm a flying horse!"
