I apologise for contacting you unsolicited, but I have been reliably informed that you may have a job opening at your establishment 'What the Book' and I have recently found myself without employment

I am writing to find out if this is still the case and, if so, if you would consider meeting me for an interview in regards to the vacant position? I will be open and candid about my current situation and ask for only fifteen minutes of your time if it can be spared when convenient for you
