ooc: character introductions

Hi guys it's Dylan here with my number 2, and first boy Roger!

He's a twenty-six year old former Ravenclaw, who plays as a chaser for the Appleby Arrows. As you'd imagine, he's a bit Quidditch mad. But don't let that put you off, he also loves reading, and is always singing and playing his guitar (although not in the douchey "Anyway, here's Wonderwall" kind of way. He'd definitely be into open mic nights, and quiz nights.

Cho is definitely his BFF, but he has a wide circle of friends, and is always happy to make more. He also has a slightly weird family - i.e. a loving mum who was disowned by her parents for twenty-years, and a dad who he's never met. His mum's parents are ridiculously wealthy, and have absolutely no idea what to do with him or how to interact with him, so he relies on his friends to be his family unit, and he's just fine with that.

After a rather eye-opening experience with a team mate when he was 19, he came out as bisexaul - coming to understand why he could never quite make it work with girls at school. Because while he loves kissing them and talking to them and even having a bit of a shag, he seems to be able to connect with lads a bit better. But he's a romantic at heart and if the girl or guy of his dreams came into the picture, he'll go after her as much as possible without being a creep.

So yes, open for any and all interactions! Friendship, enemies, flirting, relationships, volunteering, singing, helping out people, hit me up.

Lisa: Roger would be happy to be friendly and/or flirty with Lisa, and would be totally fine with her not being into Quidditch. Luckily he's got enough social intelligence to realise that just because he loves talking about it, it doesn't mean everyone around him does.

Harry: He'd definitely be into being friends with Harry. He might occasionally shake his head and wonder why Harry never continued playing, but he's proud of what Harry does at the Ministry.

Pansy: Depending on how she is with his friends, he'd be anything from cordial to hostile?

	Dean might vaguely remember him from Quidditch games, might have played against him actually, I can't remember what order the games were in the year Dean played. He's just one year about Dean, right? Erm, since the war he doesn't go to games so he might not recognise him except by name game-wise. So pub things. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I can definitely seeing them being friends? Roger (in my head canon at least) knew Luna, so he'd know Dean. I think he'd definitely be proactive in approaching Dean for friendship in a non-aggressive, non-triggering sort of way? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

ROGER IS TACKLING CHO BACK! HE LOVES HER AND GIVES HER LIKE SIX BILLION HUGS.

Roger would definitely shag Mac I think. He has a bit of a weakness for cocky Gryffindor men, it uh, makes other things cocky if you know what he means.

Adrian's close with Alicia yes? I think Roger's quite close with her, so there'd be overlap in terms of friendship? Definitely room for interaction.

Hey! My peeps may know Roger in varying degrees, but I'll poke you by email later tonight as I'm working on a 4th character who would know Roger fairly well :D

Percy: Probably knows Roger mostly from Oliver's ranting about quidditch ;) They were only a year apart, so maybe they've interacted more than that?

Ernie: Would think Roger was very hot, of course - would be open to a possible history between them if Roger happens to be into cute blond stout Hufflepuff healers?

Gemma: She's your girl if Roger needs a massage or a new look, and also if he's into black market brooms and crup fighting ;)

Percy: I think Roger would be genial with Percy? Maybe thought he was a bit of a tit at times, and the whole of Ravenclaw probably heard a lot about him from Penelope, but otherwise I think they could be quite friendly as adults? Especially with Percy's job?

Ernie: Oooh a bit of history between them, now that would be interesting? A drunken snog or maybe something more? Roger seems preternaturally gifted at turning former partners/hookups into friends, so definitely friends in the current status?

Gemma: Hmmm... I think she'd make him a bit nervous? He'd be lovely and charming with her but she screams something that makes him... jumpy? :D

Hey! Okay, working through responses and I know I emailed but I like having things here so I can go back to them in case I delete an email ;)

Percy: I think most people think Percy's a bit of a tit, so Roger's in good company. Friendly as adults would be good, especially if Roger is friendly with Oliver who's BFFs with Percy kinda at the mo (I'm feeling so non-committal at the moment for some reason!)

Ernie: I'm up for drunken snog or more! Ernie's no blushing violet and definitely has a shaggign history. Yes, he would rather be in a relationship, but barring that, a bloke has needs you know! And that sounds perfect, former hookup turned friend works for me!

Gemma: Is happy to know he's nervous ;) Feel free to be jumpy, she'll roll her eyes and then store the reaction for future use.

If I've done my maths correctly, Dominic would have just missed out on playing for Ravenclaw at the same time as Roger. Dominic would have been put on the team in his 3rd year, but for the Triwizard Tournament. So instead he started in his 4th year, by which time Roger would have graduated.

But Dominic probably remembers him from school and would know him from around the pub. As would Seamus, who is always happy for famous Quidditch players to become patrons as it's good for business.

Lucy - has no idea who he is at all.

Yay! Roger!

I know we've talked a bit, and believe me the small/little/bigger/huge things that are coming to mind are all being put into an email that'll be sent off, hopefully tonight! But...

Melinda - 1 year younger, same house, close friends with Cho, which I'm translating into very good friends with Roger as well.. and someone she'd invite to come try out new underwear... and test subject

Alicia - same year, same sort of background (child of a Muggle and a Muggleborn), into Quidditch, Chasers, and... we need to talk more there, but it'll be in the email.

Would love to hear more ideas from you as well :D

Ugh omg, we have talked about dat face but unnnnfffff he is beautiful.

Okay, now for real responses.

Oliver is for sure a friend! They've played against each other for years, and I'd like to think they have a pretty friendly rivalry going, but he super respects him and thinks he's awesome. With him having a little flirty thing going with Melinda, we'll see how that goes too (I assume he's friends with her too if he's friends with Cho?)

Astoria wouldn't know him super well, except by reputation a bit. She thought he was dashing in school and had a little crush on him when she was young seeing him in the halls and such. I think she'll be friendly, and maybe he's a customer? I don't know if he's at all into fashion, lol.

Meg would probably be slightly intimidated by his pretty, but she's bubbly and will talk to anyone! She wouldn't be very close or anything, but she's open minded and such so there's that!

Oliver: DEFINITELY friends. I think Roger would really like him, and he'd be someone he'd go out for a beer with, maybe someone who knows Oliver quite well?

Astoria: Roger likes to think he's a fairly fashionable guy, so I think he'd go in for clothes and a friendly chat now and then?

Meg: I have a feeling Roger's going to be dragged to the store a bit, so I can see them striking up a conversation?

	Yay Roger! Hannah and Roger come from similar backgrounds. Maternal grandparents disowned their mothers/never meeting their fathers (except it's because Hannah's father died before Hannah was born).
