Hey guys! This is Sarah with number 3, Mrs. Megan Stewart, who you would otherwise know as Megan Jones.

Some quick things about Megan:

Hufflepuff the same year as the trio, but she was not in the DA despite being besties with some core members. Megan is of the fearful variety and really doesn't like to take risks. This is kind of odd, since her older sister Hestia was in the re-formed Order and she and her older brother were both typical Gryffindors.

She's very friendly, even pathologically so, and she can talk to ANYONE. Really, there is no one she wouldn't at least try to have a convo/connection with. Some people might find her a bit fake because she tries so hard, but it comes from a genuine level of kindness (and also crippling insecurity, but who's counting?)

She didn't graduate/take her NEWTs and instead went to the muggle world after the war and worked in a lingerie store. This piqued her interest, and she opened her own in Monument Alley (thanks to the money from her husband, more on that in a second). It's more like Kiki de Montparnasse than Victoria' Secret, and she also has a perfume line designed by her and made by her potioneer father, which are themed and very similar to Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.

She married a man 30 years her senior 3 years ago, after he was the first person to call her beautiful and show much interest in her. Their relationship was very romantic and she was swept away with all that, but has since learned they have no sexual chemistry and that she loves him more like a baby animal or an injured bird (cute, cuddly, needs affection) than a husband. She's been fantasizing about an affair, honestly, and avoids being home as much as possible so she doesn't have to face that her marriage isn't as perfect as she wishes he was. Her husband is wealthy and owns quite a lot of property in Monument Alley (he might be your landlord, actually) and bought Megan the shop to make her happy. She tries to be there as much as possible.

She's found at Finnigans talking to pretty much anyone, playing trivia, dancing (she takes burlesque lessons), reading her poetry at open mic night and basically just not at home.

Lines:

Friends! Mostly fellow Puffs, but she'll befriend anyone!

Regular customers? She loves helping women feel sexy (she has low self esteem about her very curvy (mostly bottom heavy-aka she has a Kim Kardashian size booty) body and lingerie has helped build that. She'd want to help others too)

Potential affair-mates? She's super romantic and reads too many bodice-rippers, so the sexless marriage and laying back and thinking of England isn't really working. Anyone is potential, but she would probably grow over-attached just FYI.

She's adorable, and the kind of character you just want to cuddle... like a baby animal or an injured bird.

I don't think either of my girls would know her from school, but Melinda loves shopping, and her underthings are always meticulous and perfect, because she's a dating girl, and who knows? So she's definitely a regular customer.

Alicia... haven't shown off her underwear to anyone since her husband was alive, but again, she does like to dress up and has the money to do it properly, so... I could see her being fairly regular. BUT... bodice rippers... she has a fellow lover of those in Alicia.

Oh Melinda! She thinks Melinda is just the prettiest thing and is a bit jealous of her figure, but she would love to chat about things and she probably talks her ear off when she comes in. She loves regulars!

Hey, the awesome thing about lingerie is feeling sexy even if no one else can see! And they maybe could organize a book share? Because you run through those things so fast haha. She could also donate to the foundation as well, especially since she met her husband through a charity event.

And Melinda envies Meghan's shapes as she, herself, only has just enough curves to keep from having a boy'ish figure. But she'll be happy to talk and is completely on board with loving the regulars (after all, she does too!). Those two could/can/will/are getting along splendidly :D

Normally it's something she wouldn't admit to anyone, but in a place like that, if there's a book of the kind, it could come up and then sharing can occur. It'd be an alternative to the take-one/leave-one at Finnigan's? All donations are welcome. I need to get something going there as well, but I want to get settled in properly myself first. Then all the ideas can be used to boost activity or plotting or whatever else.

Yeah, no rush, I just handwave most that stuff anyway haha. But yeah I figure it's a little different just because some might not want to leave those on a shelf and people go through them fast. I just think about my MIL exchanging shopping bags worth with her friends lololol

Yay! Megan! Someone Lucy actually will know/remember for once! Lucy also left the magical world - a little earlier, after Dumbledore's death - for the muggle and is literally back for the first time in seven years TODAY. She completely dropped off the map when she left, didn't contact anyone. She was close to all the girls in her Hufflepuff dorm (and the boys from the same year) and they all helped her get over her homesickness and they did magical things for her when she'd tried eight times to cast a silencing charm and failed, or whatever. They can definitely reconnect.

Dominic thinks she is so pretty! I can kind of imagine him going in to the shop looking for a gift (of the perfume variety, not the lingerie) for one of his friends and being distracted from this task by the gorgeous woman serving him. I don't know if he would hit on her if he knew she was married, though. He's not one for commitments himself, but he respects other people's commitments. But, hey, even a little flirting might give her the confidence to go out and have that affair with someone else. (Or with him, if he didn't know, and then they could deal with her getting attached despite him telling her up front he doesn't want a relationship.)

Seamus will know her from Finnigan's, and because she is friends with his friends (Susan, Hannah, Ernie, etc) but will have absolutely no reason to go to her shop basically ever. He'd be up for burlesque night as long as someone else is organising it because he knows nothing about such things and isn't sure he wants to.

Aww Lucy! In a bit I could jump on her open thread when I get home from work, but yes, Megan would understand obviously about leaving the magic world for a while. Reconnecting sounds good!

Dominic is darling, she would probably not have realized for a long time he WAS hitting on her, haha. But we could see how that works, either it just giving her a confidence boost or if it would go from there. I think lately she's taken to not wearing her ring when she's not home, which maybe would leave him to not realizing she's married? IDK!

Seamus she'll be friendly with, and she'd be happy to sponsor the event-male burlesque dancers are fun, she'd remind him :D

Lucy is chatting to Ginny right now, but as Ginny is late she may be about to whizz off again so Megan could pick it up from there.

Subtety is not Dominic's strong suit. If she seemed like she wasn't getting it (rather than seemingly like she was politely avoiding the question) he'd just get more direct. But perhaps it would be more fun to play through all that than talk about it and we could see where it went? Perhaps say that he's tried to make conversation with her at Finnigan's but never quite got anywhere, so meeting her somewhere more quiet/less crowded could give him his chance?

As long as he's not expected to be one of the dancers ;)

haha well, that could be fun! Figuring it out by having them interact is probably the best way, though I can't see her LYING, so I imagine it might be a flirtation until she tells him about her unhappy marriage lol. But it depends on how he reacts, so we can see? We should set something up haha

None of my kids really know Hufflepuffs, but... I LOVE HER. Cho wants to be friendly and social and read trashy romance novels and shop for beautiful little lacy things with her.

Adrian probably knows her husband better than her, through his family I would assume.

AND CORMAC. Cormac has no problem with the fact that she's married, and her being a bit on the clingy side would be a lot of fun to play out with him, if you'd like him for a potential affair-mate or flirtation!

Aww thanks!! She'll be friendly right back! Doesn't take much for her to form friendships and liking lacy things and trashy romance novels is about all it takes.

I would imagine so. He's related to the Shafiq's on his mother's side and his father is very wealthy from business/landowning (he's not pureblood but...close enough). She always feels super judged at those parties so she avoids them if at all possible.

haha we should work on something like that. We should see if they have any flirt chemistry haha. Though if he has a reputation as a player she might like...flirt but not go for an affair because like I said, she's weirdly romantic haha

Hey!

As we discussed, Ernie and Megan aren't as close as many of the others, but there's always a touch of Hufflepuff loyalty there.

Percy - well, I think he'll stay as far away from her business as possible lest he die from permanent embarrassment.

Gemma - will shop there regularly, and if she knew the facts, would think she shouldn't have bothered marrying the man since so many would give so much without a ring (Gemma's had a few 'sugar daddies' in her time despite not being attracted to men at all).

Yup! Yellow and black, badger pride etc. They'll be at parties and such but not bffs or anything.

hahahaha oh god, I cannot for the life of me imagine Percy sharing even ONE of her interests. BUT, her older brother Peter was in his dorm, so he would vaguely know her that way (he was pretty opposite Percy since his only bit of canon is losing his cauldron lol)?

haha Megan would probably enjoy when Gemma shops, and thinks she's super glamorous. Maybe they'd talk about it later, since I can't see her EVER talking to her friends straight up about it until she's either filed for divorce or something. She's gunna keep pretending everything is cool until it isn't. But in her mind, she didn't want the STUFF, she wanted the affection, she just didn't realize that, you know, sexual chemistry is a THING and that you, you know, WANT IT.

Percy was actually a little protective of his dormmates, he just showed it in his uniquely Percy way - and he's actually patient with people who aren't his family... sometimes. Either way, am cool to connection through Peter (which would mean Oliver would have the connection too?).

Oh, Gemma was all about the stuff, but that was before she had her own business. Now, she depends on nobody but herself. Could definitely lead to some interesting interactions, maybe even encouragement for independence and making one's own way? Either way, should be fun!

I know we've talked about Hannah and Megan a little bit, and I do think Hannah shops for both lingerie and perfume. Partially because Hufflepuff solidarity, but as a curvier girl Hannah likes lingerie that fits/flatters.

On the subject of an affair, if Hannah ever found out if one occurs she'd be a bit frowny face. Mostly because she dislikes the idea of cheating, but would support Megan as best she could/in any divorce proceedings.
