Entry tags:ooc: character introductions

Hello, everyone! Christie here with my #2 Hermione Granger. Don't let her journal name fool she and Ron are not married, she is simply now and always forever will be an honorary Weasley no matter what happens between her and Ron because she is close with the rest of the family. For now I am saying she and Ron are close so that the interpretation of what that officially means will be left up to whomever arrives wanting to take on Ron.

That said, Hermione lives with Harry in a flat near the London Library. She hasn't taken on her position at the Ministry yet and is the senior research assistant for Mr. Frederick Clegg, Solicitor to the Wizengamot. If your in trouble or need something cleared up legally she's your girl.

Since the war she hasn't really changed much, not to the outside observer. She is still brainy but tries not to be too much of a know it all these days. She doesn't like being fawned over because of the war but she also doesn't like being completely alone which is what usually drives her to Finnigan's.

You can find her bio here and she is waiting for your plots.

Cormac is very happy to see Miss not-yet-a-Weasley in game. She's still a hottie.

Adrian is there for any potions needs she may have.

Cho is scowling from behind a very large glass of pinot grigio in the corner and waiting for Melinda & Roger & Marietta to join her in her scowling.

♥

Melinda doesn't scowl...

Totally abusing the opportunity to use that icon!

Hermione is still not impressed.

She will keep that in mind.

Not Hermione's fault she doesn't pick her friends more wisely.

Yay Hermione! Seamus would know her of course. I imagine he infuriated her somewhat in that he never appeared to do much work but still pulled decent grades (better than Ron and Harry's?). I doubt they're close friends, but still 'friends' rather than 'acquaintances'. Also, do you mind if we say she adapted her DA charm for the Battlescars confidentiality agreement so that no one can repeat what they heard there to reporters etc?

Dominic was a year below her, Ravenclaw but not the studious type. I doubt they've had much reason to interact other than at the pub? Obviously he knows of her.

Lucy was in her year but probably never spoke to her ever.

Hermione would have definitely assisted in creating the security document for the group. I don't think she ever really paid attention to anyone else's grades other than Harry and Ron. Yes they are definitely friends.

She will be polite to Dominic and Lucy.

Okay, going to tear my eyes away from that icon - but only for a minute - and stop spamming your intro post.

Melinda would know who Hermione is. She's Cho's friend and knows how Cho feels, but personally she doesn't have any problems with Hermione.

Alicia has nothing but respect for Hermione, though she doesn't fawn, because she's seen how hard Hermione has worked :)

Hermione will be polite to Melinda.

She definitely respects Alicia and they would be friends because of the DA.

Hey Christie.

Dean is fond of Hermione even if they aren't the closest people. Her torture by Bellatrix is definitely something he sometimes has nightmares about and he probably alternately seeks out and avoids her after those. Maybe he's sent her post-nightmare cookies once or twice. She may know about the nightmares if she was out the right Battlescars meetings, although he probably kept her name out of it she'd know what he meant.

In my head canon Hermione and Dean get close during their time afterward at shell cottage. She also has nightmares about it so they have that in common.

I can definitely go with that. I think maybe they had a little less opportunity than Luna and Dean because Hermione had research and planning to do, but there was more than enough time that we don't see in the books for them to become close too.

Definitely. But those first few days when Harry was processing Dobby's death would have allowed for a good bit of down time.

Oliver remembers Hermione fondly from school as being Harry's very brilliant friend. He'll joke about with her, and he thinks she's lovely and as another self-proclaimed almost-Weasley (not his fault George won't put a ring on it), he understands attaching oneself.

Megan would remember Hermione from classes, though I think she was slightly intimidated by how good Hermione was. Megan was very middle of the road herself, but she'll be super friendly and invite her to come to the shop whenever!

Astoria would know OF her, and she'd be polite etc, but probably her engagement to Draco hasn't won her too many trio-fans. She's not at all purist though and she would admire how smart Hermione is. Not sure if she'd come to Twilfit & Tattings, but she's friendly with Percy, so there's that!

Hermione remember Oliver as well. She may have even had a slight crush on him back in the day. Though she's scratching her head at the George comment.

She will be polite to Megan.

Hermione cannot figure out why anyone would willingly pair themselves with Malfoy.

Oliver says that he and George's heterolove can not be fully explained. But yes, he'll be friendly!

Sounds good :)

And Astoria says he's different from Hogwarts, and she probably would have agreed with her a few years ago ;)

George admires Hermione's brains, and appreciates that she admired his, at least once, saying his Daydream Charm was a neat bit of Magic. I'm sure as a nearly-Weasley, they've spent some deal of time together and I'm sure he's fairly fond of her ;)

Mandy admires her for sure. She doesn't know her well, I imagine, but still, knows who she is, and knows her story.

You're welcome to mine anytime! :)

Yes, George is definitely a brother to her even if it isn't by blood. She hurt for him so much and still does.

She gives a polite nod to Mandy.

Should I have him list all the ways he loves Hermione??

Well, he doesn't love when she leaves hair gunked up in the drain, but other than that he loves her a lot.

HI!

Random head canon that Susan and Hermione are kind of besties, having both been in the Battle of Hogwarts and gone back to re-do seventh year, ending up in a lot of the same classes, and starting at the Ministry at the same time?

She and Hermione can be close but Ginny always has been her bestie.

Also, Hermione does not work at the Ministry.

Hey! Here's what my 3 peeps think of Hermione:

Percy: Finds her pleasant and perhaps the best person any of his siblings have ever brought into the Burrow. He respects her very highly.

Ernie: Likes and respects her and would be friendly upon their every meeting :D

Gemma: Thinks she's cute and is wasting herself with blokes but oh well ;) She just might keep the solicitor's name on hand, just in case she gets into legal trouble due to her... less than legal businesses.

Hermione deals with Percy the way you deal with that relative that you have to interact with. She still hasn't totally wrapped her mind around the way he treated them all those years though she does recognize he has worked to make amends.

Ernie and her a definitely friends.

She will be glad to assist within the confines of the law.

Hannah has no reason to need Hermione for legal reasons, but that doesn't mean they can't share pints at Finnigans for other, certainly more friendly reasons. They'd be familiar with one another thanks to being in the same year/the DA. Friendly?

Yes, they should be friendly from their DA days. Just remember Hermione's pint is of the butter beer variety.
