Hi everyone! I'm Jori and I took over Sarah's Oliver Wood. I'm really excited to be joining this group.

So, I kept as close as possible to Sarah's version, though made a few minor tweaks here and there to make him more my own. Anyway, Oliver has decided it's high time he mans up and starts to act like an adult, so he moved out of that disgusting flat and lives in a decent place in London. Oh, he also chopped off his ponytail because why not.

I'd love to get caught up on any lines/back stories that were already established and make some new lines in the process.

Hello Jori! I'm Mercy, and I've got three; Zacharias Smith ([info]unspeakableness), Tristan Travers ([info]alliterative), and, brand new, Astoria Greengrass ([info]astoryuntold). None of mine really had anything going on with the previous Oliver outside of I think Zacharias mouthing off to him because he thought he was being overly dramatic and a bit of a whiner at the time, but outside of that, they didn't interact. And that was so long ago that, honestly, they're all clean slates! So if you want to plot anything with any of them or do random run-ins, I'm all up for it! :D

Anyway, welcome to the game!

I think we were in ~hp_clue together? Though I don't think we really interacted. :X But yes! Hi and welcome!

Hah, I think we were! I was the Roger Davies (feels weird to play anyone but him... its honestly been years!)

Haha Oliver would hold no ill feelings toward Zach, of course, even if he thinks he's a little entitled (okay, very entitled... and kinda has jerk-face). I mean, if he annoyed Oliver he'd tell Zach, but he isn't going to be mean-spirited about it.

As for Tristan, is he's a bartender then he's a friend of Oliver's!

That game was massive amounts of fun, and I was really honored my character got to be the killer. :D

I guess I'm going off my own bias/remembering Zacharias from the books being a bit of a jerk... so maybe because he has chronic resting jerk face Oliver just thinks he's a jerk in general?

Then Tristan is Oliver's friend! :]

Zacharias had a back-up plan if he were found out to be the killer that involved attempting to get into St. Mungo's for the rest of his life. >_>

You're welcome to peruse the info I have on him to see my interpretation of him! But in short, he's not the asshole type always looking for a fight. He blushed and backed down too often in the books for me to interpret him that way lol So he says things, blurts them out, sometimes without thinking, but he's not big on confrontation in general, particularly if he feels uncomfortable. And a large chunk of his Quidditch commentating was him being pissed off at Ginny for being a jerk and hexing him for wanting to know what happened in the DoM and then not getting any punishment for attacking another student on the train (and I'm not saying he didn't harass her, but the whole thing is very one-sided, and I have it that he was bugging her but not to the point that it called for a temper tantrum attack as the only means to handle the situation). And he doesn't like the Weasley twins (well, just George at this point) because they're bullies (because he may get annoyed and dislike people, but he's never threatened to shove stuff up people's butts before, nor has he ever experimented on first years or been cruel to animals). And the books themselves are very one-sided the majority of the time, so we only see Harry's perspective on a lot of things, and Zacharias has little face time overall in the books to know what he's like outside of certain situations, but I tried to take them and figure out "why is he doing this, why is he doing that, what's behind this act?" which, for me, results in far more than "well he's a jerk, end of story." It'd be like having the end all, be all trait of Roger Davies is that he gets around and/or seems to be a bit arrogant, or that Blaise Zabini comes off like a pretty boy who probably practices his poses in the mirror nightly or that the only thing to any character is one or two traits we observe from one person's perspective, and that person doesn't spend enough time with those people to know much else about them.

And sorry about the long reply lol I just put a lot of thought into my characters, especially minor ones, so I can get a good grip on them when writing. And it usually results in knowing way too much about them and their families and being able to write way too much about them in any situation lmao :s

Woo hoo! Even though Tristan secretly figures this friendship is strictly related to alcohol and nothing else lmao But he's happy for friendly faces in light of the whole convicted and released Death Eater thing. >_>

I have to say, he really did make Roger feel incredibly confident he was going to get away with it. I think there was a point in an RP where I wrote that he did feel bad there was obviously something mentally wrong with Zach, but he needed him to continue looking as guilty as possible.

What was his back-up plan?

Hey, never ever ever apologize for putting too much thought into a character. I'm the exact same way with my Roger because I've put years of thought and work into him. I agree, the books are very one-sided, I think that is why it is so much more fun to explore and build these characters who had very little face time. I admire your depth of knowledge and turning Zach into more or less a real person. You rock!

So I looked over his profile and I like the angle you took on him. I can see him and Oliver butting heads since they both suffer from the tragic disease of speaking-before-thinking. Yet at the same time Oliver would respect him for speaking his mind, though Oliver would get annoyed at his constant pessimism. Unlike Zach, Oliver wouldn't back down when confronted so he might see him as just someone who is full of hot air.

Really they are a lot alike in many ways... they could be friends if Zach didn't rub Oliver the wrong way. Of course he's not going to needlessly start trouble, but I'm sure he picks on him a bit from time to time.

Tristan's friendship is partly alcohol and partly he's a nice guy who is nice to talk to; Oliver just likes having people to talk to.

Do you mean Justin? I know he was kind of not fully with it mentally speaking at times, and he kept making himself look guiltier and guiltier (aided by the fact that there was so little else going on in the game, sadly). And Zacharias was cleared pretty early on, too. I think within the first month or so...

Aw well thank you *blush* And they really are more fun because you can really put your own spin on things and flesh them out and not be confined in quite the same way as playing a major canon character.

Zacharias would have no idea how to react to someone thinking he's full of hot air, but I'm amused by it LOL He has calmed down some (in a manner of speaking) since school, because I figure ten years later, people grow and change at least a little bit. But he's kind of like that dog that's been kicked/hit one too many times and is wary of a lot of people and things because of it. He doesn't think he's pessimistic necessarily, but I know he can be. All that said, I wouldn't mind trying to see if they could be friends or at least friendly! Might take work since I could see them both butting heads, too, but could be fun, too lol And Zacharias wouldn't needlessly start trouble on purpose, either.

Tristan wouldn't mind talking to Oliver, either! He may be wary outside of Wingbeat or any other professional setting, but he's not a deliberate asshole type and would be friendly enough most of the time (with other times being a bit more of the introverted, studying Ravenclaw type lol).

Yes I meant Justin. Haha whoops. I haven't actually woken up today. Yeah, that game fizzled fast and I have no idea why since it was a quick moving game with great concept.

We shall see if Oliver and Zacharias can get past their butting of heads and become friends. They would be quite an interesting duo.

While Oliver can't really understand being wary and avoidant he would respect it.

There was a lot of interest, and then almost everyone seemed to just drop off the face of the planet. It was weird and a little saddening. And I think the ones that were around, at least some of them were too focused on shipping, and it was like, "Uhm, okay that's nice, but we've got a murder mystery here to solve.... Maybe we can all post more about that and let things slip here and there so we can get some guessing going on? The game's only two months long. You can do it!" lol

I forgot to say his plan but it involved a suicide attempt and a lot of fingers crossing that he could convince everyone he needed to be locked up in St Mungo's or an institute instead of Azkaban for the rest of his life.

They would be interesting, though if they don't end up being able to be friends, no worries!

If Oliver can't understand it, Tristan would not explain it lmao Not for any rude reason. He just wouldn't want to have to actively explain that his wariness is largely in part to the scarring Dark Mark on his arm and being in prison for six years.

I'm Kat, and I have four peeps here, three of which have something to do with Oliver to varying degrees:

Melinda Bobbin ([info]_melinda_): Owner of Sweet Nothings (the pâtisserie in Monument Alley)... and Oliver's ex-girlfriend. There's quite a bit of backstory there that I'd love to go over with you, if for no other reason than to figure out what went wrong with them; Melinda was the one to break it off, but was still heartbroken, and though she's somewhat beginning to move on, she's not sure what happened and is still hurt.

Alicia Fawley nee Spinnet ([info]_alicia_): Alicia and Oliver were pretty close friends, as in she's not (and never has been) afraid to call him an idiot when he was, send over various potions or remedies if he was sick/hungover/injured, or chase away the occasional/frequent one-night-stand... and vice versa (except Alicia's never had a one night stand). Alicia's a widow (after Daniel Fawley), the mother of 6-year old twins Isla and Liam (Isla's a HUGE fan of Puddlemere United and Oliver in particular), works as a Healer for Pride of Portree (for this season, then she's going off to get a degree in physiotherapy) and the co-founder of the Fawley Foundation. She's also dating Adrian Pucey, and Oliver was the first person she told that to.

Finbar Quigley ([info]_finbar_): Beater and Captain for the Ballycastle Bats, dating Cho Chang (Melinda's best friend) so while he doesn't have a personal grudge against Oliver (Fin's a friendly, easy-going man) he has been taking some personal pride when the Bats beat Puddlemere. He's separated from the woman he's hoping will soon be his ex-wife, after she gave birth to another man's child and started harrassing Fin; a harrassment that culminated in her burning down his house and him relocating to an Unplottable house in London.

Finally, there's Rose Zeller ([info]_rose_): Rose is the youngest character in the game (she turned 21 in February) and she doesn't have any interest in Quidditch so wouldn't know Oliver from any other good-looking man. She's in the last months of her Cursebreaker training and dating Rolf Scamander.

Yes I'm happy to be IN the game (I dropped my laptop and it was being repaired. Oops).

Oh boy oh boy. The ex-girlfriend. I can reached on AIM at fleeingreality so we can get in depth about their backstory, I'm very excited for this! Yeah, Oliver is more or less still very sore over the subject, but he too is starting to move on. Interesting to see where they will go.

Alicia! Of course Oliver and Alicia are friends! He considers her one of his closest friends and someone who really knows the real Oliver. He also respects that she calls him out on his idiocy (because Merlin knows he needs it) and he thinks she's one of the most admirable women out there with all she has on her plate... not to mention a damn fine Quidditch player. I get the feeling they are probably BFFs. OH! Not sure about the previous Oliver but my Oliver loves children, so he would dote on Liam and Isla like they were his own (maybe Alicia's had to tell him off for spoiling them too much?). You better believe he's not-so-subtly teaching Liam and Isla awesome broom tricks and Alicia may or may not approve of. As for Adrian, well, if Alicia thinks he's good enough then Oliver thinks so too. He's loyal like a dog.

Well, Oliver loves friendly rivals. He'll definitely chat with Fin and, well, he doesn't really know what to say about his crazy ex-wife beyond 'good riddance, plenty of other girls!'

As for Rose, Oliver was always handy with charms and curses so he'd think it is really fantastic Rose is working toward being a cursebreaker.

Oh no! Oddly enough, I'm replying here while at work... running tests on a laptop that's been dropped on the floor to estimate the damage...

YAY!! I am so happy and relieved that you're up for keeping their backstory, because it IS a major part of Melinda's whole SL here in the game. I've added you to my AIM, but with the time difference, it makes sense that you're not online right now, so rather than write you an essay here, I will start working up a cheat-sheet just to have something to work from. Because there's been a lot of thoughts here, so bouncing ideas with you would be brilliant.

YESSSS, again, like with Melinda, I've a whole lot of thoughts on Alicia and Oliver, nuances and explanations. lol. The only thing I'll really get into here is that Alicia's all for him teaching Isla tricks on the broom, and Liam too, however Liam's not like his sister; he's more musically inclined and frankly a bit scared of flying, so while it'd be alright with Alicia for Oliver to teach him, I don't think Oliver could get Liam to be in on it :)

Yeah, Fin's happy to be rid of her too, just tired of the Irish divorce laws that won't allow him to divorce just yet. Fin and Oliver didn't really get to interact before, so starting off with friendly rivals in mind and then we can take it from there.

And Rose? Yeah, Rose is Rose is Rose, she's just... Rose. Again, we'll take it as it comes, because honestly? I haven't a clue about how she's going to react half the time.

Yes! I wanted to keep Oliver as close to the original since it seems a bit silly to completely reboot him, you know? I'm completely down with learning about Melinda and Oliver's backstory and seeing what happens after they have both started to kinda heal and move on now.

Aww, well, is Liam is scared of flying Oliver wouldn't make him do so, even though he's terrible with art and music he definitely encourages Liam and always asks about his latest project... even if he doesn't understand it.

Oliver loves his friendly rivals. No need to turn the sport into something bad or negative (unless you're a dirty cheat, then he wants nothing to do with you because you're disrespecting the game).

Haha well fair enough with Rose.

Welcome, Jori. Nice to meet you, I'm Caroline. I have three dorks running around here with vary degrees of association to Oliver.

This journal is Dean Thomas. He's an artist, part-time barman and has PTSD. Obviously they were in the same house but iirc the previous decision was that they probably don't know each other too well, but would be friendly if they saw one another. Dean's friendly but can be twitchy.

I have [info]hopalongcharlie, Charlie Weasley who owns Wingbeat, the Monument Alley club. He's been back from Romania just over a year and is now missing his right leg from just above the knee (dragon bite). He and Oliver would have played Quidditch together for a few years so I'm pretty sure they'd get on well. Be friends, that sort of thing. He's asexual which might or might not have come up. He doesn't talk about it but doesn't hide it (if that makes sense).

Finally Gwenog Jones ([info]haveyoumet_). She's a Beater and Captain for Holyhead Harpies and recently spent two weeks out following a muscle and ligament injury to her hip/groin. She's outspoken, mouthy, angry and ambitious. She's a former Slytherin, and probably doesn't know him too well outside a professional context. She doesn't have a great reputation though, so there's that. She also has a secret ballet hobby which is currently causing her problems.

Hi Caroline!

Oliver is always kind and welcoming to his former housemates. He had his fair share of suffering after the battle and can't even begin to fathom what it was like for those still at school. While he can be loud and overly touchy Oliver will make an honest effort to not make Dean too uncomfortable with his loud self.

Chaaaarrliiieee. Oliver adores the Weasleys and in his opinion they are some of the best people he's ever had the fortune to know. As for Charlie, well, he's never come right out and said it but Charlie has always been someone Oliver looks up to and admires. Charlie's opinion honestly impresses and intimidates him, not to mention has some of the most weight on him. Oliver doesn't care what sexuality Charlie is, he was one of the best Quidditch players and may or may not sometimes mention that he should have went pro... even though he thinks chasing dragons is amazing.

Depending on what type of player Gwenog is Oliver will influence how he views her. He won't bad-mouth other players, that isn't good sportsmanship, but if she's sneaky and underhanded he definitely won't have any respect for her (because in his mind she's disrespecting the game) and that will be made very clear.

Dean's troubles are a combo of spending about eight months on the run (including seeing people killed to save him), Malfoy Manor (hearing Hermione tortured) and the battle itself. He started having nightmares before he got to the battle. He works at the pub so a little loud is okay, but if he's having a bad day/week Seamus is very good about giving him time off. He doesn't keep his general situation quiet because it'd be worse for him in the long run, but unless Oliver goes to Battlescars he'd likely not know many details.

Good job Charlie likes Oliver a lot too then. The teasing about going pro amuses him, I'm sure, but his heart was with the dragons. His skills are currently wonky because he hasn't done enough flying since he came back to always be sure of compensating for his leg, but otherwise he does still love to fly.

Gwenog is pretty aggressive as a player. Some of the plays she's worked out may border on sneaky but they're mostly just well-thought-out but surprising quidditch. Sure she might be a bit fond of using her elbows sometimes, and she has a temper which may result in a lot of yelling and waving her bat around, but she's not actually going about cheating on purpose.

Oh that's right, Dean was there for the torture. Oliver wouldn't have gone to Battlescars since he'd rather work-out until he passes out instead of actually confront whats bothering him. He will always listen if Dean is around and feeling uneasy. He's a housemate, after all!

Oliver would have sent a near-hysterical owl when he found out Charlie lost his leg. Better believe he was sending him all kinds of care packages too, because Oliver is overly protective and stuff like that. Since he's better he would be very interested in flying around, going to the pub, catching up, you know, all that fun stuff.

Ah, well, if that is the case he would admire her for being a strong female who creates smart plays. He gets a temper when playing too, so he can't really judge her for that. The excessive use of elbows? That gets a frown from him.

He was, well, he could hear it. Dean does a little art therapy of his own, aka sometimes Seamus and/or Susan have to come and drag him out of his studio and make him sleep.

Good news is Charlie would have liked Oliver's care packages far more than Molly's smothering. It took a while for Charlie to get back on a broom again properly and be confident about it, but yes to all the catching up. They are clearly due for some more soon!

Yeah, she's rolling her eyes at the frowning. She is so not impressed by basically anyone. It's not often though, she finds a threateningly waved Beater's bat rather more effective. Which is probably about as bad as it sounds. Honestly though, she generally has a decent level of respect for other players, even if she's not always friendly-friendly with them. She may also have slept with a few other players (teammates and otherwise).

I'm Angel, and I have Millicent Bulstrode. Mils and Oliver wouldn't know each other very well, given their different Years, Houses, and social circles, so they'd probably meet through something random. I'm always up for brainstorming. Welcome!

Mils thinks she's a nice person, though I would personally call her complicated. She's very close to the people she trusts the most (Dora, for example), and if you're someone she considers her own, she'll stand by you, take care of you, make sure you get what you need. But she grew up with a certain level of wealth and privilege (despite not entirely fitting into her family), so there's some snobbery conditioned into her. On the other hand, she works for Rich Summerby, who baffles her with his insistence on often doing things the Muggle way, but who also earned her respect (cynics say it's because her job lets her keep her lifestyle, but it isn't honestly that). Adrian's mother is her aunt, and Aunt Maia is decidedly not a snob (she's a bit of a black sheep in Mils' family in that regard). And her father's second wife Jane is more accepting than some, so Mils is being made to look at things differently than in years past, where almost everyone lived their lives the same way. She's a bit mixed-up in her world-view right now!

It occurs to me that she and Oliver would have a tenuous social connection through Alicia, who's seeing Adrian. Mils and Alicia still don't quite know what to do with each other (and Mils blinked a bit over Adrian not picking someone from their social circle, as expected), but there's that, if you'd like to run with that in future! And she'd feel for him a bit on how he can get hounded by the gossip rags -- there's no love on her end when it comes to those, with how the gossip mill treated her family after the War, and how Dora gets picked on sometimes.

Oliver is fiercely loyal to Alicia, though to be honest he had the same reaction that Mils had when she told him about Adrian. Overall, if she's happy he's happy, and that is all that matters. The gossip rags are definitely not his friend, and he'd feel pretty bad for anyone, especially non-celebrity, who gets caught in their cross-hairs. He'd definitely side with her on his negative opinion to those worthless trash mags.

Mils isn't really the flaunting type, unless he's very good at identifying clothing designers by sight (standards of dress, etc, etc, oy). He might well have read or heard about her performing community service (and lots of it) at St Mungo's (due to her involvement with the Inquisitorial Squad, not helped by her reputation from school), since she's a daughter of the Sacred 28, and that made the news. And you know, that's true, Rich and Oliver have a connection through which she might see him at events! Saying things like that might make her rankle, but that can be good for her sometimes.

Ha, yes, Mils was a bit perplexed, but she and Alicia are trying to be friendly (Mils adores Adrian, so she's making an effort)! I wonder if Mils will try to slyly outdo Oliver's gifts in the future, or at least take a little pleasure in it if she manages to get the presents that Liam and Isla like best.

Hi, Jori, I'm Jasmine, and I have four.

Most importantly in regards to Oliver is probably Viktor Krum ([info]snitch_snatcher). He is the captain and seeker of the Montrose Magpies and the last few years has dealt with a rather public divorce and custody battle. He is now a single father of Tsveta, who is the adopted daughter of a deceased teammate and ex, and his biological son, Misha (Mikhail). They would know each other on the pitch though probably not very much off the pitch. Though that can change? He's also interested in Melinda, who was Oliver's ex in the old plot, so there's that too, if we go with it :)

Pandora Montgomery ([info]pandacharms) is a Charms Mistress working at her aunt's charm shop as well as on the side as security for Rich. She's a Slytherin a few years below Oliver who was pressed into Death Eater service against her will (see her app for full story). She's up for random.

Rolf Scamander ([info]outofthewild) is probably off Oliver's radar completely unless he has or wants a pet. Rolf was a Hufflepuff many years below Oliver who doesn't pay much attention at all to Quidditch. He runs his family's shop, The Bestiary, which takes up a lot of his time, and dates the lovely Rose Zeller.

And finally, there's Genie de la Lune (this account). Genie is Imogene Boot, but under that name she's assumed dead in the war. She's a werewolf, along with her pack, though no one knows this for sure yet. She also loves handsome men (and women) of all sorts and will probably hit on him quite a bit. Viktor Krum. Oh my, yes. The legend himself. Of course Oliver would hold Viktor in very high esteem for being such a talented player... but he's interested in Melinda? Oh, well, that could cause some issues. Oliver wants her to be happy, of course, and he understands where they went wrong but, I mean, he still cares for Melinda. This could be very juicy!

Pandora was on Slytherin's quidditch team while Oliver was around, so he would remember her for that at the least. I'm sure he was curious about her since she always seemed to well put-together and... serious. Not to mention such a small girl as a Beater he'd definitely find curious. He probably tried to talk to her at school to simply pick her brains but its up to you how that went. As for Death Eater, well, she's not one now, so Oliver doesn't hold it against her (unless, you know, it turns out she is still into it, then he'd have some issues).

Hey, you never know, Oliver may just be in the market for a pet!

Oliver thinks Genie is pretty. He would definitely flirt with her and see how far they can go.

Ah yes! That is right. She was a right fierce Beater too, and a bit mean on the pitch. But off, she was cool, and she did talk to people outside her house. Her sibs were all in different houses (Oliver would know her brother Hyperion, who was also a Gryffindor). She was never on board with the DE-ness, so she's definitely out of the game, though she loves a fierce duel and kicking arse.

Genie would love to meet him. She can't ever seem to keep to just one person, at least not yet! But there's a lot of fun to be had in that!

Well then, Pandora has a fan named Oliver, he thinks tiny ladies who kick ass and take names are pretty damn awesome. Since she works with Rich she'd probably see Oliver floating around plenty. He'll definitely be friendly with her.

Oliver is happy to meet Genie; no worries, he's just now starting to heal and figure things out, jumping into something serious might not be good (but it would be interesting). I have no plans for him romantically, but if something sticks then I will let it run its course.

Susan Bones - who's an Auror. She's a hard working, complicated, loyal Huff, and she had a bit of a flirt with Oliver when Sarah was playing him, but I think they were at least friends in that sense, but totally up to you!

Roger Davies - who's a quidditch player, thus who may know Oliver? He's once again, up for anything.

Hyperion Montgomery - an auror and Gryffindor. He's stinking rich and has a tonne of family issues. He's up for anything as well.

Dennis Creevey - the resident Gryffindor reporter. Not sure what connection they could have but once again, open for anything!

I personally have always had a soft spot for Susan; no idea why! So if she flirted with Oliver he'd of course be very open to it; he'd see how far it went until she gave him signals otherwise (though he can be a bit thick about it). He'll be friendly for sure.

Oh, you're the Roger! Hah, you know, Oliver is the first character I have played that isn't Roger in about... uhhh... four years? I've been so fascinated with your Roger; its so funny how there is so much that is the same and so much that is completely different. Okay, but for real, Oliver thinks Roger was a fantastic captain at Hogwarts, and would still enjoy his company to this day.

Hyperion and Oliver may or may not be friendly for the simple fact Oliver has never liked when wealth is flaunted. So if Hyperion is cool, Oliver is cool... otherwise he will be polite, unless he's a prat.

Dennis! Oliver would probably remember him and his brother (and feels guilty he thought his brother was a bit annoying with that damn camera). Oliver would be fine to talk to him in interviews, but he wouldn't like it if he only talked to get exclusive scoops.

Hello Jori! I'm Jinx, and I've got three (and a half?) characters running around here.

Firstly, this is Bryce Dunstan, who was a Gryffindor in Oliver's year, so it's possible they knew one another at school. He's been living in the Muggle world with his four year old daughter Sophie for the last few years since his fiancé died, so he's getting acclimated to magic again.

Second, I have Marcus Flint ([info]marcedflint), a former Death Eater who served four years in Azkaban before being released. He now plays Chaser for the Appleby Arrows, and he's (finally) dating Roger Davies. Previously, he and Oliver had a friendly rivalry going on - more friendly than rivals, honestly, but I leave it to your discretion if you'd like to continue that or do something different.

Last but not least is Stacey Rivers ([info]pinkyink), who owns a tattoo parlor in Monument Alley. She's exuberant and happy and always willing to talk, so she'd be friendly if they ever ran into each other.

Well, Oliver would have made a friend in Bryce, and he also lives in the Muggle World (easier to keep his privacy from the magical gossip rags). Oliver is good with charms, so he would be happy to help Bryce with that, and he loves kids too.

Marcus Flint. Well, before I make any judgements I'll find out more about this more-than friendly rivalry.

If Pinky is a happy, bubbly talker and Oliver is a happy, excitable talker they will never, ever shut up. He WILL get a tattoo of the year either Puddlemere wins the cup or the year he gets on a national team and wins the World Cup.

Terry here with Richard Summerby, Puff and former Quidditch rival - Rich is the guy who took Cedric's place as seeker after the TriWizard - but no reason for them not to be friends off the pitch. Ollie probably would still pick at Richard for not taking the offer from the Falcons to go pro. But after the death of his girlfriend at the Battle of Hogwarts. Rich left the country for a while. These days he's a globe-trotting businessman and amateur broom racer.

I'm up for just about any sort of backstory or threading that might come to mind for the two of them.

Oh Oliver would definitely pick on Richard for not going pro, but he can understand given the trauma Rich received. He's probably a little biased but he'll always think of Cedric as Hufflepuff's Seeker, but he'd never confess that to Rich.

Amateur broom racer? Oh boy, Oliver will definitely love to challenge him.

Adrian Pucey ([info]adipucey): Local potionsmaster with some big family secrets from the war, currently dating Alicia Spinnet, and hoping Oliver approves :)

Chris Summers ([info]chrisss): Chris was a hufflepuff in Cedric's year and when his friend died after the Tournament, he convinced his muggle parents to move to family in the US. Chris finished his schooling in Salem, MA and just moved back to England last year. He's sort of seeing Pandora and working at the Fawley Foundation on the orphanage.

Cho Chang ([info]charmingcho): Cho remembers Oliver well! They would have competed in school and then he went and broke her best friend's heart, so she's not so keen on him these days. But I'd love a run in :) She runs an event planning company so works with quidditch teams a lot.

Cormac McLaggen ([info]macmclaggen): Mac owns a sports shop (McLaggen's Magical Sports) on Monument (bought with investments from his family which he's working his arse off to pay back) and he's dating Lavender Brown despite a major history as a playboy and a massive ego. Also, he'd obviously know Wood from school/Gryffindor (though he's a couple years younger than Wood) :)

Romilda Vane ([info]vanegirl): Romi owns the sex shop on Monument Alley and also runs an escort service on the side (so, you know, if he's ever looking for a date, you know who to call!). She's still basically Romi, lol, and currently dating a much older NPC named Franklin.

Well, if Adrian is good enough for Alicia then Oliver will approve. Oliver may or may not subtly undermine him when it comes to Adrian's parenting/influence over Liam and Isla... but that's because Oliver loves those kids, he's been there longer, knows Alicia better and is totally not overly protective or territorial or anything ;) That could be a fun angle. He also thinks Adrian is grumpy and needs to smile more.

Oliver will find Chris interesting for going to school in the US (especially since his sister did) and ask lots of questions whenever they meet up.

Cho and Oliver at odds with each other could be very, uh, interesting, especially if she runs an event company. We should definitely hash out some stuff between the two of them.

Cormac would see Oliver plenty through purchasing items at his shop, and I'm sure there are endorsement deals since Oliver is a very popular player. Oliver always sort of thought of Lavender as a bit hyper and annoying, but he's amused Cormac seemed to have settled down a bit.

Oliver would have definitely used Romilda's services a time or two, especially after that break-up, since he would be too afraid of rejection to actually go right out and pick up some girl. He's not overly kinky but he'd probably pop into the sex shop for, you know, various odds and ends (gotta keep your partner pleased, after-all!).

Hullo! Sorry it's taken me a while to get to this - life got in the way. I'm Kaylie, I've got five characters. None of them really have much history with Oliver but I shall introduce them in any case:

Seamus (openbottle) runs the pub, obviously. He's friendly with everyone, likes Quidditch, supports the Kenmare Kestrels.

Dominic Chambers (knowhow) is a handyman around the pub and other places. Muggleborn Ravenclaw a year younger than Harry et al. I don't think he had any interaction with Oliver, but he's friendly too and supports Kenmare/Ballycastle.

Greg Goyle (goyle_g) is currently working for WWW so that might give him a good excuse to interact with Oliver. He'll have memories of Oliver being the captain while he was at school, and he doesn't like Gryffindors.

Bryony Capper (goodlight) would know Oliver by reputation because she's a huge (secret) Quidditch fan but I doubt they've ever interacted. Her Quidditch loyalties are split between Montrose / Appleby / the Harpies. She's pureblood, Ravenclaw, her family weren't DEs but are still concerned with blood purity - and she doesn't get on with them. She's working as an artist apprentice.

Finally, Lucy Spinks (addingvalue) was in Harry's year, Hufflepuff, but then left the wizarding world entirely after her 6th year. She's only just come back and has yet to see a Quidditch match. I think she'd like it if she got introduced to it, though. She's working for Rich Summerby in his business.

Goyle, huh? Well, Oliver commends him on getting a job and actually standing on his own two feet away from Draco. Oliver would find Bryony's art work amazing since he can barely draw a straight line.

Rich hasn't introduced Lucy to the wonderful world of Pro Quidditch!? Oliver thinks that is an absolute outrage and will give her some premium tickets (maybe go with her? He's a shameless flirt afterall) and make sure she is completely caught up to speed.

Yay for drunken!Oliver and Seamus love-fests. I think it was floated with the previous Oliver that he was one of Finnigan's first regular patrons, and that his celebrity attributed to the quickness of their success. I'm happy to keep that if you are!

Ah, when I said WWW I meant Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. No way is Goyle quick-minded enough to work in radio. We don't have a George currently, but Ron is working there too so Oliver could always stop in to have rows with Greg. (This is pretty much his default mode of communication with most Gryffindors, honestly.)

Omg. Bryony and Oliver can fangirl/boy over one another. She's star-struck in the precence of any Quidditch player who isn't Marcus, so having one thing something she was doing was amazing would probably blow her poor mind!

Not yet! I think she'd like it, though, so totally up for flirtation and Quidditch tickets! (Oliver's probably not awkward enough to be a lasting thing with her, but she might go on a few dates with him?)

Oh my god Oliver and Seamus would be so obnoxious drunk together. Singing drinking songs, Quidditch songs, booing and cheering. Merlin these two are a mess. Yes, I am completely in with the idea this is Oliver's favorite haunt and is seen here fairly often. He would never say that his status influenced Seamus' bar, but that its just a great place in general.

Oh. OHHHH. Wow. I was pretty tired when I read/responded. WWW, not WWN. -_(\ Well, he likes Ron but would definitely row with Goyle, because why not? If he's going to be stupid then its going to make Oliver mad. Mad Oliver doesn't think straight.

Yeah, Oliver thinks that art skills is amazing and he will be impressed with pretty much anything she does. He'll also be super embarrassed of his own terrible sketches in his playbook, and when talking about Quidditch/drawing something to explain a play he would be like "okay just ignore my bad drawings."

Oliver is awkward but in his own loveable like-a-puppy way. He's not looking for anything serious and I have no real romantic plans or plots for him, but he won't turn down dates with a pretty girl, especially to show off his Quidditch knowledge.
