ooc: character introductions

Hello finnigansmod folk! This is Sarah with #2, Astoria Greengrass, soon to be Astoria Malfoy. Astoria is two years younger than the Trio, having finished Hogwarts in 2000. She apprenticed at Twillfit & Tattings in Diagon Alley before becoming a full designer after about a year. She's pureblooded, but she's not a purist, which is why Narcissa approached her mother about the possibility of Astoria marrying Draco. Astoria, however, wanted nothing to do with such an arrangement. It became a HUGE fight in her family, until eventually she agreed to ONE DATE with Draco, and they actually ended up hitting it off. Who knew?

Astoria is shy at first, and that can come across as stand offish, and she takes a little bit to warm up, but she's not actually as much as a snob as she might appear at first glance. However, first impressions are everything to her (ironically enough) so she can quickly judge people, BUT she is willing to talk to pretty much anyone, she just needs 'proper' introduction. She's a bit quiet, but warms up around people she knows. She's a tab bit naive, but she's intelligent, creative and hard working as well.

I'd love to see her sister in play and more younger Slytherins if anyone needed a nudge for another character :) I'm open to friends, people who think she's a bitch/snob, customers, people to talk fashion with her, gobstones players (she'll be all over those tournament nights)...ANYTHING really!

Hey again! We talked Gemma but here's my other babies.

Ernie: They may not have had much opportunity to meet in the past, but he's really nice and friendly and would be kind towards her, no matter what her House/etc.

Percy: I think he'd be one of her fashion-forward customers! While Gemma isn't one for fancy robes except on special occasions, Percy is in politics and would require a closet full of proper robes for various occasions. Any thoughts there?

I think she would be very kind in return to Ernie! He's a gentleman, so she responds very well to people who are friendly and polite, so perhaps they could have started talking a bit at Finnigans?

Oh definitely! She designed robes that transition with a flick of a wand from wizard robes to muggle suits, and as I imagine he often goes between worlds, I could see him being an early customer? Maybe she even had him try on a proto-type? I'd be up for them talking fashion and such :D

	I'm up for that! He dresses well too - maybe not robes but is always stylish. Excellent! He'd be an excellent guinea pig (years with the twins) and would definitely love to talk fashion. 	She can work with that :) She's actually really interested in muggle fashion, particularly menswear, curious enough. Probably because she started doing menswear for T&T. Sounds good! And she likes that he's proper/polite, so they should get alone quite well :) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I have always envisioned that Daphne and Blaise were close which means by proxy he knows Astoria well and respects her. In fact I've always thought of Daphne as his only true friend but that will be seen if she arrives in game. Also, he is in charge of the Gobstones club so there is a connection there. Woo, Astoria! Uhm... none of mine are really into wizarding fashion at all, nor were any of them in Slytherin. Seamus will recognise her from the pub, because he recognises everyone. Dominic probably will too but I kind of imagine she'll hate him (or at least, think very poorly of him from his scruffy working man first impression). Maybe he tried to chat her up without a proper introduction and she's never forgiven him.

	Well, she does a mix of wizard and muggle fashion, so if they are into any kind of fashion she might open up to them. But yeah, she would likely be more friendly with Seamus than Dominic and I love the idea of him coming up and being overly friendly without an introduction and she's all LOL NOPE. ;) We can play with that! 	Yay more characters! That said I think the pub is likely to be their only point of reference. He wasn't one for interacting with Slytherins regardless of year, and his clothes run to muggle almost all the time. Although if they're going formal dress for the gallery opening whenever I do it he might have to come and get some robes then. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	She would remember him from being in Slytherin and she did watch Quidditch while in school too, and I think she would have seen him play, so there's that! haha then let's have it happen!
