Hi there!

I'm Ayla. I'm bringing to the game Aidan Lynch.

I'm not sure what you'd like to know about me, so feel free to ask.

I'm up for ideas with Aidan (he's retired from professionally playing Quidditch, but enjoys playing among friends), and fairly lenient as well.

Also, on Thursday I'll be having my gallbladder removed and will be delayed in replying for a day or so.

Hi Ayla, welcome to the game. I'm Caroline and I have three characters, at least two of whom have something of a connection to Aidan.

Dean Thomas (this journal) - he's a pro artist and sometimes works at Finnnigan's. He's just broken up with his girlfriend and is oblivious to the fact he loves Seamus. He's got PTSD which cycles through stages of how seriously it affects him. Not a huge connection opportunity there although he has seen him play a time or two.

Charlie Weasley (

hopalongcharlie) now owns Wingbeat, the club in Monument Alley. He returned to the UK about a year ago after losing half his right leg to a dragon bite. He's a school year younger than Aidan and would have played quidditch against him, possibly denied him a win sometimes because he was a good Seeker. I don't know if they might have kept up since, but I can see them being friendly (beyond the swearing Charlie's pretty laid back).

Gwenog Jones (

haveyoumet_) is Captain and Beater for the Holyhead Harpies. She's a few years older, a Slytherin, abrasive and has a bit of a bad reputation (pretty well deserved). She'll have played him plenty of times (possibly in international games too since she plays for Wales). And not that she knows it but she's going to gain an injury in the next couple of weeks that might put her on the road to retirement, or at least from international matches. She also maintains a secret passion for ballet (the fact she likes to watch it is somewhat known because of her opera-singer ex-girlfriend) but she's managed to keep the fact she dances secret by never practicing in anywhere magical since Hogwarts (and she managed to keep that quiet too). I assume they probably know each other, but I'm not sure how well.

He remembers Charlie from matches (who wouldn't remember great seeking skills), and maybe a run in or two in school.

Aidan definitely remembers Gwenog from matches. If his memory is as good as he hopes, he believes she's caused him an injury or two. It was a bad accident in his last game that caused him to quit for good. I still see them being quietly competitive with each other, and friendly enough.

	:) Sounds like a plan. Yes, I imagine she's caused him an injury or two over the years. Her arm can be pretty dangerous with a bat attached! She gets on okay with most (former) quidditch players so that works for me so friendly enough is fine by me. Also, best of luck for your surgery. (Reply to this) (Parent)

The most pertinent to Aidan is

snitch_snatcher, Viktor Krum. A fellow Quidditch player who famously, uh, smashed Aidan into the ground at the World Cup. He's still playing, currently for the Montrose Magpies, and is divorced with two kids. I'm open to either friendliness or rivalry or anything between them.

pandacharms is Pandora Montgomery, who he might have overlapped in school by a year, but as a pureblood, he might have traveled in her family's circles? Her mother is currently Head of the MLE, though they're estranged. She's a Charms Mistress and a former Death Eater (her app gives a ton more info there, but it wasn't willingly).

outofthewild is Rolf Scamander, Hufflepuff, whose family is obviously well known from his grandfather, Newt Scamander. He's monied and doesn't care much, and he runs his family's shop and animal rescue, The Bestiary. If Aidan has an animal or wants one, that's a definitely connection.

wolfinboots is Genie de la Lune, also Imogene Boot. Snatched during the Battle year, she's a werewolf whose pack has moved to London. No one knows (YET) that she's a werewolf, but I'm open to things. She also flirts with everyone and could be a romantic fling or something?

	Could that be a way of bringing Aidan into Finnigan's? Maybe he and Viktor (and other Quidditch people (if Fin would cooperate with Kat), or just them) meet to catch up and the such? Aidan doesn't really hold grudges when it comes to Quidditch. The game is rough and a win is a win unless it's some obvious form of cheating. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Viktor is gung-ho on the field and laid back off, so he doesn't hold grudges unless it was really bad, he's cool. Viktor would be happy to help Aidan into the game. Soooo... I don't remember how much you've been told about my peeps, so settle in, because this could get long. In alphabetical order:

Alicia Fawley (nee Spinnet -

_alicia_): Alicia is Alicia is Alicia, except this Alicia is the widow after Daniel Fawley whose family owns Pride of Portree. Alicia is also the mother of 6-year old twins Isla and Liam, she's Healer for Pride of Portree (until the end of this season, then she's gonna do something else), she's the co-founder of the Fawley Foundation, and she's dating Adrian Pucey. Other than that? Well, then she's the Alicia you know.

Finbar Quigley (

_finbar_): I think you remember Fin, and he's basically the same, except he has a crazy ex-wife (or well, they're separate). Also! He was in he same year and house as Aidan!! And you know he tooootally dated Sasha back in school, because... he did. He plays for the Ballycastle Bats, really likes Cho, and is being a right pain these days because he's just not letting me write him. Finally, Jasmine (Viktor Krum's player) and I kinda decided that after the '94 World Cup a kind of friendly bond between the two National Teams developed, so Viktor's a friend... I'll leave that up to the two of you to figure out, what with both of yours being Seekers.

Melinda Bobbin (

_melinda_): Ravenclaw, 1 year older than the Trio, so she would have started Hogwarts right after Aidan left. She owns and runs Sweet Nothings, the pâtisserie in Monument Alley (the menu can be found in her journal), and she is as sweet as the cakes and desserts she makes. Usually at least. Sheeeee's not interested in Quidditch, though she enjoys the atmosphere of the games, even if it's "just" on a game night at Finnigan's. She dated Oliver Wood briefly, a rather whirlwind thing that faded to nothing after the Daily Prophet hinted that she had used a Love Potion on Oliver, which she hadn't. So, she's not too thrilled about the press or gossip these days.

And finally,
Rose Zeller (

_rose_): Hufflepuff, and with her being 4 years younger than the Trio (she just turned 21) she's the youngest character in the game. Rose is in her last year of Cursebreaker training at Gringott's in London, she loves to draw, and loves pretty things, but does not trust easily. Oh, she'll be friendly and seemingly open, but unless she wants you to know, you can spend hours talking to her and walk away not knowing anything more personal about her than her first name.

~~DiNozzo!~~ Ahem. Hello! I'm Mercy, and I've got three characters; Zacharias Smith (this journal) who is an Unspeakable, Orla Quirke (

quirkybeater) who is a beater for the Montrose Magpies, and Tristan Travers (

alliterative) who is currently working as a bar tender at Wingbeat. Orla and Tristan were both Ravenclaws, but I'd think Orla would be the only one with any kind of familiarity with him outside of "OH LOOK PRO PLAYER SQUEE" (okay, Zacharias doesn't squee, but whatever) since she's been playing pro since 2002 (recruited by Appleby Arrows, then traded in between last season and this season to the Magpies). I think Tristan was a first year when Aidan was a seventh year, and while he has an older brother who was sociable and in Hufflepuff, he's currently not in play.

That's the basics, I think. They all have info if you get bored and want to check them out, and they're all available for plotting of any kind, though no worries if not. Welcome to the game! And hope the surgery goes well!

Welcome! Kaylie here and I've got five:

Seamus (

openbottle) obviously runs the pub. He's a Kenmare Kestrels fan so he'll definitely know Aidan by sight/reputation. His mother is related (in some way I haven't pinned down) to Darren O’Hare, who also played for Kenmare / Ireland. So they may have met before, though I doubt they'd known each other well?

Dominic Chambers (this journal) is a general handyman / inventor of magical gadgets. He invented the journals, for example. He was a Ravenclaw too, and played on the house team from 95 - 2000. Obviously after Aidan's time, but Dominic is a Kenmare/Ballycastle man so I'm sure he knows of Aidan too.

Bryony Capper

goodlight was Orla Quirke back on TLS, if you remember her. She's a big Quidditch fan but it's more or less a secret. Her brother is a pro player still - playing for the Magpies at the moment, and he's played for Ballycastle and and Caerphilly in the past. Again she'd know of Aidan but probably hasn't spoken to him at this stage. She's an artist, living with her widowed Aunt, trying to avoid getting married off by her piece-of-work mother.

Greg Goyle (

goyle_g is... well. He's still Goyle. Not too bright, not very communicative. He's working for George Weasley at the moment and he hates it.

Lucy Spinks (

addingvalue is working in the muggle world (for now...) and knows nothing about Quidditch so she probably wouldn't recognise Aidan at all.

Hi there. Terry here with Richard Summerby, call him Rich or Bee, pureblood Puff and junior enough to Aidan that their only real contact would be through the usual boring social functions. Rich is deeply into his work, quite the world traveler, and well-known on the amateur broom racing circuit. He's a (small) part owner of the revived Bluebottle Broom Works, chief test rider, and partially responsible for getting the Bluebottle Class-C racing broom on the market if your boy is looking for a hobby now that he's not on the Pro-Q team.

Hello I' Christie and I have three here. Also, I'm horrible at responding to these things so please don't take my direct responses as if I don't wish to play.

Blaise wouldn't necessarily know him as he left Hogwarts before his arrival. Though I'm sure he knows of him due to both his professional Quidditch and pureblood links.

Marietta would have been a first year his last year at Hogwarts. She would know him a little.

Hermione doesn't really have any links to him but would be nice enough if they crossed paths.
