Hello everyone, I'm Lis (aka [info]faeriedust or [info]figmented), underemployed museum marketing assistant. So I'm basically around all the damn time, for better or for worse. You can almost always find me at figmentedfollies on AIM, but if I'm not there for whatever reason email lis@figmentedfollies.com is your best bet. Please poke me! I don't bite and I do love me some plot. Currently, I have mediwitch-midwife Hannah Abbott. (I liken her being similar to a nurse-midwife or a nurse practitioner-midwife. She's not a full healer, but she is quite knowledgeable in her chosen field).

Hannah's warm and friendly, basically a bright ball of sunshine who won't be hindered by those broody introverted sorts (you know who you are). Basically, I compare Hannah to a golden retriever who would make friends with a blank wall if given enough time. Hannah would do anything for her loved ones (Hufflepuffs, looking at you), putting herself last when it comes to her list of priorities, which gets her into trouble from time to time. Seriously. The girl is a workaholic who doesn't always know when or how to ask for help. She really doesn't care about house or blood politics, even though they've played havoc with her life.

Hannah works at the Women's Health Clinic just a few doors down from Finnigan's. Though it is primarily a birthing center for pregnant woman and those who have just given birth, they do offer a reduced-cost health clinic for the general populace on Thursday evenings. She also lives above the clinic so really there is no escaping work. She can frequently be found in the pub, if only so she can say that she stepped away for the day.

Plot Ideas/Wishes/Wants/I-will-beg-for:
• I would love for her to stay connected with her Hufflepuff family, even those who might have drifted away for one reason or another. She'll welcome you back into the fold. (Especially a Justin!)
• Actual family members. Hannah's not close to her (pureblood and pretty traditional) maternal family, the Abbotts. Maybe they got to know one another during school or they reconnected after the War. Who knows. Come at me, bra.
• Patients! While the majority of them will be women (pregnant and non) and young children (under three years of age), the Health Centre does hold a low cost/no questions asked clinic on Thursday nights.
• People she's met through her stupidly busy social life. This includes fellow business owners who she deals with from time to time.
• Co-workers, former and current. Healers can all commiserate about that one patient, amirite? Plus, the Heath Centre needs more than two midwife-mediwitches on staff. Perhaps they have a fully qualified healer in case of emergency? Or how about a receptionist? Potions master/mistress? Handyman. The list is endless.
• A potential love interest (Neville, perhaps?), not that she's looking to settle down soon and pop out babies of her own. No thanks. She doesn't have time for that.

Hi Lis, I'm Caroline and this is Dean.

Dean is sort of an introvert but it's more to do with his PTSD than his actual nature. He is neither female nor generally in need of other medical care (thank you mental health team) so she probably won't see him there. He does work at the pub though, and he's pretty good friends with the other Hufflepuffs, both through DA and since then - Susan especially - so I imagine they're friendly enough.

Not sure what to suggest plot wise but I'm open to ideas.

Hello Caroline!

Hannah attends Battlescars from time to time, but otherwise she is a frequent face at the pub (she's there way too often). She'll be friendly and willing to trade recipes.

Yay! We already talked about Lucy and Hannah and the Hufflepuffs. I think Seamus and Hannah were seen together during the battle (can't remember if that's movie canon or book canon) so, you know, siblings-in-arms and all that. With Dean gone he'd have need friends/company/support in seventh year and I know Hannah loves to be needed. Plus, even now Seamus is bad at eating proper meals at regular times so Hannah can feed him.

Dominic... I don't know if he would know Hannah terribly well. He's around the pub a lot so they might know each other that way.

Lucy - Hannah is definitely all up with whatever Lucy plot you may wish to let her have.

Seamus - They were! (So says the wiki, but that doesn't if it were book or movie, but I'm inclined to say book.) Hannah will definitely step in as support and knew enough healing charms in their seventh year to heal the basic things when they took refuge in the Room of Requirement. Oh, don't tell her that because she will bully you into eating, you know.

Dominic - In and around the pub is good too!

Awesome :-) In that case, they were probably close enough that Seamus invited Hannah to come visit him in Ireland at some point in the year after the war / may well have tried to drag her into skinny dipping (after coming out as gay). Up to you whether she'd have taken up either offer. Susan and Ernie both did, for what that's worth.

I realized I never replied to this. Hannah has little body shame when it comes to close friends. Skinny dipping would have been just the tip of ice burg. So she would have been totally up for it.

Hi Lis,

I'm Kat, and I have 2 girls here:

Alicia who's 2 years older than Hannah, Gryffindor, and like Hannah a former member of DA. She's the mother of 5 (almost 6) year old twins Isla and Liam, widowed, Healer for Pride of Portree and co-founder of a foundation helping the families of children who lost either one or both parents in the war (long story and description that's all in her profile). Alicia's all about the healing and curing, kind of her way of working out her demons and losses, I think, and is a HUGE fan of the Women's Health Clinic, even if she doesn't work there or is in need of it's services at this point :)

And Melinda Bobbin ([info]_melinda_) - Ravenclaw, 1 year older than Hannah, not a member of DA, but a member of the Slug Club. I don't think Melinda and Hannah would know each other from school, however, Melinda owns and runs Sweet Nothings in Monument Alley, so that may have changed with the business people group (I cannot remember the name of that group) every Sunday. Like Hannah, she's a sweet and friendly girl, not exactly introvert, but far from aggressive in befriending people.

Right now, I can't fulfill any of your plot ideas, other than friends and maybe Sweet Nothings making deliveries to the Clinic. OH! I'm finding myself lying here; Alicia may not be working at the Clinic, but she works with Quidditch players, whom she claims aren't all that different from pregnant women (mood swings, special diets and always aching somewhere), so they can commiserate on that :)

Hey Kat!

Alicia - Hannah would be willing to help out/volunteer with the foundation if healing services were ever needed. Also, they can commiserate about poor patients.

Melinda - Hannah is always up for sweet things, even though she tends to make them herself. Sometimes you just don't have the energy or want something different. Ooh, yes, definitely when it comes to catered food for the Clinic and there is the Business Group!

Hey there! I'm Christie and I have Blaise Zabini. I too am around a lot due to the fact that I work from home and set my own hours. This means I have lots of spare time if I want it.

Blaise's immediate response to the golden retriever comment was "Seriously Abbott just don't drool on me."

Blaise wouldn't have minded helping the center to a gala or something at his Manor. He's pretty good for a party.

Hey Christie!

Hannah's rolling her eyes, but that won't stop her from being friendly with him... unless he finds it amusing to mock one of her friends. Ooh. I like the idea of a gala. We should talk about that.

Blaise is amused and wants to remind her he doesn't mock people he only tells the truth.

Sure, whenever you wish.

I don't know you, who are you, we've never met before in my life!

*hugs Lis and swings her around*

Okay, Ernie has his fellow Bobsey Twin around, and they are SO a matched set :D We've chatted Hannah and Ernie, so all is well there :D

For Percy, how long has Hannah had the Centre? Lucy is 5 and a half, so if Han and the centre were around 3 years ago, Percy may have brought Lucy there as needed. Otherwise, no worries, I'm sure they'll run into each other :D

Hannah and Ernie are more than the Bobsey Twins. :P Though I'm pretty sure Hannah's the only person that can share Ernie's bed without his mother batting an eye. :P

Hannah doesn't own the Centre (at least her name isn't on the deed), but it's been around for two years or so. They are available for drop ins, especially for kids who might be afraid of Mungo's. (Unless he already has a private healer lined up.)

She is, Gwen MacMillan has already adopted her as the daughter she never had (and never will).

Ahhh, okay - let's just say that Percy insists on taking Lucy there if only to 'support local services'.
