Hello everyone, I'm Lis (aka faeriedust or
figmented), underemployed museum marketing assistant. So I'm basically around all the damn time, for better or for worse. You can almost always find me at figmentedfollies on AIM, but if I'm not there for whatever reason email lis@figmentedfollies.com is your best bet. Please poke me! I don't bite and I do love me some plot. Currently, I have mediwitch-midwife Hannah Abbott. (I liken her being similar to a nurse-midwife or a nurse practitioner-midwife. She's not a full healer, but she is quite knowledgeable in her chosen field).
Hannah's warm and friendly, basically a bright ball of sunshine who won't be hindered by those broody introverted sorts (you know who you are). Basically, I compare Hannah to a golden retriever who would make friends with a blank wall if given enough time. Hannah would do anything for her loved ones (Hufflepuffs, looking at you), putting herself last when it comes to her list of priorities, which gets her into trouble from time to time. Seriously. The girl is a workaholic who doesn't always know when or how to ask for help. She really doesn't care about house or blood politics, even though they've played havoc with her life.
Hannah works at the Women's Health Clinic just a few doors down from Finnigan's. Though it is primarily a birthing center for pregnant woman and those who have just given birth, they do offer a reduced-cost health clinic for the general populace on Thursday evenings. She also lives above the clinic so really there is no escaping work. She can frequently be found in the pub, if only so she can say that she stepped away for the day.
Plot Ideas/Wishes/Wants/I-will-beg-for:
• I would love for her to stay connected with her Hufflepuff family, even those who might have drifted away for one reason or another. She'll welcome you back into the fold. (Especially a Justin!)
• Actual family members. Hannah's not close to her (pureblood and pretty traditional) maternal family, the Abbotts. Maybe they got to know one another during school or they reconnected after the War. Who knows. Come at me, bra.
• Patients! While the majority of them will be women (pregnant and non) and young children (under three years of age), the Health Centre does hold a low cost/no questions asked clinic on Thursday nights.
• People she's met through her stupidly busy social life. This includes fellow business owners who she deals with from time to time.
• Co-workers, former and current. Healers can all commiserate about that one patient, amirite? Plus, the Heath Centre needs more than two midwife-mediwitches on staff. Perhaps they have a fully qualified healer in case of emergency? Or how about a receptionist? Potions master/mistress? Handyman. The list is endless.
• A potential love interest (Neville, perhaps?), not that she's looking to settle down soon and pop out babies of her own. No thanks. She doesn't have time for that.
