ooc: character introductions

Hey everyone! I'd like to introduce you to my 5th character, Julian Travers. You've just met his brother Tristan, who's getting out of jail as we speak, but here's a few things about Julian.

Has a golden retriever named Wallace (seen in this post's icon)

Is extremely flirtatious and hits on everyone - he's pansexual and polyamorous, he doesn't do monogamy and is pretty happy living a life free of responsibility of any kind

Like his brother, was active with the side of the Death Eaters during the war and did some things he regrets greatly. Unlike his brother, he a) went on the run long before the Battle of Hogwarts, never got the Dark Mark, and has never been tied to the Death Eaters aside from being the son of one (in other words, has never served time or been caught for his crimes), and b) did what he did with full control of his faculties (no Imperius or threats or anything for the most part - only the desire to impress and stand with the father he'd missed 15 years of his life)

Is active in the Fawley Foundation and loves children - he took his big brother duties seriously with Tristan, and more or less adopted cousins Pandora and Hyperion as supplemental siblings.

His mother's mental condition is steps away from being a permanent resident in Janus Thickey, so he does what he can to take care of her at home and give her some sort of exposure to the outside world.

Comes from a rich family and doesn't think he needs to work for a living.

Is a Hufflepuff who graduated in '93

Has major abandonment issues and can't stand to sleep alone - when he doesn't have a lover over (which is rare enough), Wallace keeps him company.

Used to believe in pureblood supremacy because it was what his father believed in, but hid this a lot at school in order to fit in and survive in his House. After the war, he's re-evaluated his beliefs and tried to find out what he thinks and believes, rather than what he thinks his father would want.

Is a coward who hates confrontation.

So that's a little about Julian! Am up for all kinds of plotz, from past/present/future lovers to relatives of the people he's killed to make his life awkward and shameful.

Dora is thrilled to have him around, as he's some of the only family he has and she loves him :D She might want to kick his arse sometimes, but she loves him. I can see her having been a hug toy before, lol.

Lessee. There's Rolf, very much younger. My math says they didn't overlap at all, but it's possible that he knows at least of the Scamanders. Since he has Wallace, he might get his supplies at the Bestiary?

Viktor - probably wouldn't know him, but Julian might know OF him, certainly, and I can see them getting along well enough. Viktor is only a little younger, I think.

And I'm going to post Genie shortly, but I'll mention her in passing -- she's also pan and likely poly (though I can see her managing to maintain a relationship rather than all casual down the line). I can see them maybe hooking up more than once despite the age difference, though I dunno how you feel! I'll get her intro up soon.

Julian adores Dora and would have given her tons of hugs growing up :D

Rolf - Am very cool with Julian getting Wallace's supplies at the Bestiary. Consider Rolf having been propositioned at least once ;)

Viktor - Julian may be a little older biologically, but mentally he's probably quite a bit younger and would boggle at the idea of being a single full-time father like Viktor is. Would def. be up for a meeting!

Am definitely up to having a history with Julian and Genie - as long as she was of age at the time, then he'd have been cool with it ;) From what you've described in chat, etc, they sound like they'll get along famously!

Rolf - Awesome! Another happy customer. LOL cue Rolf blushing and managing to decline somehow.

Viktor - Viktor honestly boggles at himself a lot. He tries not to think too hard about how he manages it.

Might not have happened yet, unless it were random somewhere (which could be interesting fun, with maybe him not even knowing she's a witch?), but something in the future would be great. I really should work on her intro ...

OK. Based on what my kids have got for Tristan...

CHO: Cho knows his brother and is terrified of him being let out of jail, but I bet she'd really like Julian considering him someone who "stayed out" of it all (not knowing the truth at all) and admiring him standing up to the family tradition. I think this could be really fun to play with, actually. Cho was good friends with Tristan in their earlier years so I'd bet she'd know Julian from that.

CHRIS: probably wouldn't know him, having taken off first chance from school and living a lot of Muggle time over the last decade.

CORMAC: Wouldn't really know him (different years, styles, and Houses) but as his little brother might be coming to work for him, Mac might know Julian if that happens?

ROMILDA: Totally hates his little brother and his family but really likes Julian. Hands down.

ADRIAN: Also has secrets from his family with the Death Eaters but Ryan Pucey (his dad) was also never caught, and Adrian never got involved. I'd like them to be friends, though, because when the ish hits the fan over that, I can see Julian being someone Adi can talk to who wouldn't judge him? Adrian also doesn't judge Tristan, so Julian's little brother being released from prison wouldn't affect their potential friendship :)

Cho: Oh, that would be so much fun, especially since it would totally play into his guilt complex! Must happen :D

Chris: I see that, would always be up for random meetings!

Cormac: That sounds great! Julian can even come by one day to check it out when Tristan's gone, kind of doing the big brother thing of looking the place over and getting a feel for Cormac... then will probably hit on him before leaving (Did I mention he hits on EVERYONE?)

Romilda: He definitely likes her in return. Consider him a regular at QuickPulse ;)

Adrian: Am definitely up to them being friends! Julian knows Alicia too - her late husband was his roommate at school and he was friends with Daniel, and thus with Alicia when they married. I think he feels a little protective of her at some times (even if, after a suitable mourning period, he would have playfully hit on her) - what can I say, he adopts 'younger siblings' - but he'd be really happy about Adrian and Alicia and would support them the whole way. Consider them having a great cheerleader!

Alicia - we talked about them and with Julian having a dog? Well, even less reason for her to get the twins a pet. I also think, that while she's more or less immune to his flirtings, they have steeled her off once or twice in the past as an assurance that she hasn't lost it all completely.

Melinda - hmm, she's four years younger and in a different house, so if she knows him, it'll be as a customer at Sweet Nothings.

Rose - oh wow, she's like... 9 years younger than him, but same house. lol. Wouldn't know him at all.

Finbar - different house but only 3 years older that Julian, so maybe he'd know who he is? Or they're related. Either way, they're both flirts, so yay!

Alicia - I'm sure he brings Wallace over all the time to play with the twins. He's only about 2, so still traces of puppy left, and needs lots of activity. And Julian's always reliable to let a person know they're desirable ;)

Melinda - definitely goes to Sweet Nothings, he likes to support local businesses if it means having something fun to eat ;)

Rose - that's okay, it only means she has yet to have the pleasure of his company ;)

Finbar - Plus they've probably met somehwere along the way, whether it be Finnigan's or what not - I'm sure Julian's tried to chat him up, whether or not Fin would have been receptive is another story ;)

Melinda: I think she's blushing now. There's a first!

Rose: lol. Of course it does!

Finbar: They probably have, though I think he's kind of new to Finnigan's as well, but there are plenty of other places. He would have flirted back, but it wouldn't have gone further than that. He's had his stroll down the man lane and that just wasn't for him. Sorry! :P

Dean - Wouldn't probably know him outside possibly serving him. I don't think he'd care too much about him one way or another if he's kept his DE status quiet.

Charlie - I'd be amused with Charlie getting hit on even if he wouldn't. Otherwise he'd probably be willing to get on okay with him now, although he might not have been much of a fan in school.

Gwenog - Hooray flirting! She's not a fan of the DE crowd really, but if he's over the prejudices they might get along, or at least she might take him to bed.

Dean - he def. keeps it quiet - if he doesn't, he's afraid he might be dragged before the Wizengamot for it all.

Charlie - It's okay, Julian does't push too hard - though he always leaves room for people to change their minds in the future (no door is closed and locked with him).

Gwenog - He's over them, they were more his father's than his but he spent so many years living up to a memory of someone who wasn't quite who he remembered them to be... Either way, would be quite pleased with either getting along or being taken to bed ;)

	Tristan says pfft go away. ;) I don't know that Zacharias or Orla would really know him, though. We can always plot stuff if you want! But I don't see them knowing each other, though I think Julian and Zacharias crossed timelines in Hufflepuff briefly, but Zacharias would have been like first and second year if I'm doing my maths properly (which I might not be). 	I think we touched on it very briefly! Pansy would be Julian's niece, and he'd probably consider her like he does Pandora and Hyperion, almost like supplemental siblings. Susan: Cousins and house mates and so lots of room for past history? She'd probably try REALLY hard not to find his refusal to work annoying and his flirting irritating? How well she works is up to you? :D

Hyperion: COUSINS, so I think they might get on? At least nominally? Like Susan he'd find the lack of work a bit weird but otherwise would see Jules as harmless? Hype finding out about the DE past could be interesting?

Dennis: Not sure what interactions they could have had but lesbi-honest, Dennis is hot so maybe Julian has flirted with him before?

Roger: Ditto flirting? Or more? Maybe? Also he'd be the least inclined to find the lack of work annoying, and he'd find the flirting thing droll and amusing, as long as it dind't cross that special line of propriety.
