Calendar Question
Hi guys, me again. We've had some problems with the game calendar lately, so I thought I'd seek opinions before adding a final decision to the game info:

The game is set in 2004 but the days of the week follow 2014 because it's just easier that way. However, this does bring up some conflicts particularly as regards moveable holidays (Easter, anything on the lunar calendar, etc). So, basically, my question is would you prefer to have moveable holidays follow the 2004 calendar or the 2014? And what should we do about moveable holidays that are supposed to fall on specific days of the week?

I feel like I'm explaining this poorly, so let's have some examples:

Option A - 2004
Christmas is always the 25th December so would fall on Thursday 25th December in-game.
Ramadan began on October 16th in 2004 so would fall on Thursday 16th October in-game.
Easter Sunday was on April 11th in 2004 so would (have fallen) on Friday 11th April in-game.

Option A2: Or we could say that it should have fallen on the nearest Sunday to that date? Sunday 13th in this case.

Option B - 2014
Christmas is always on the 25th December so would fall on Thursday 25th December in-game.
Ramadan began June 29th in 2014 so would (have fallen) on Thursday June 29th in-game.
Easter Sunday was on April 20th 2014 so would (have fallen) on Sunday 20th in-game.

If you could let me know which option you'd prefer, or if you have any other thoughts / solutions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!

ETA: Still working on the cast list but it will be updated today, I promise :-)

I'd say let's just follow the 2014 calendar for the movables. Much easier that way I'd say.

I've no preference really - and thanks for putting this out there, Kaylie!

I... well I guess I've used the day dates from 2014, but like the idea of the 2004 date? I guess because we've used 2014 dates for the days it would be silly to move everything? I guess what I'm saying in a very inarticulate manner is that I'll support whatever you/we decide 100%.

I'd say let's follow the 2014 calendar for the movables... well, repeating what Anick said :P

I think I'd prefer option B, although I'm happy either way.

Since everyone seems to be following the 2014 calender for everything, I say let's go with that for the sake of ease. It seems to be the simplest solution.

100% good with sticking to 2014 for moveables and in general. Makes things a whole lot easier imo.
