Introducing Pandora Montgomery
Hello all! This is Jasmine with her second, Pandora Montgomery. She was a Slytherin of class '97. She was prefect her final three years. In her last year, her youngest brother was mauled and killed by Fenrir Greyback when her mother wouldn't do what they wanted. After that, she ended up becoming a Death Eater to save her family, after the DEs came back.

She did a bunch of bad things in the name of protecting her family, went bonkers at the final battle, and killed or hurt a bunch of DEs. She ended up in St Mungos for being nutters for a while before going to trial, and spent time in Azkaban. Now she works as a Charms Mistress with the potential for other things, if given the chance. She's been slowly introducing herself to the muggle world, trying to work through all the effed uppedness that happened to her.

See a whole bunch more on her HERE. Open to so many different things! (especially if her sibs show up? *bats eyes prettily*) But all the things! I wants the plottings, I does, I does!

Even more new characters!

Dean has mild sympathy with Greyback issues as he has those himself, but former DEs he tends to steer clear of as much as he can. He has far too many issues.

Charlie is probably also not much of a fan for similar reasons but if she wants to come to the club and doesn't cause trouble she's welcome to.

Even though she finished him off herself, I think he's still her Boggart. What happened to her brother deeply traumatised her. It might be fun to throw them together sometime, eventually :)

She actually thinks she'll really like his club. She also says she doesn't start shit but she sure as hell will finish it if someone starts it with her. But I don't see her starting trouble at least not on purpose.

Blaise knows her of course. He needs some former Hogwarts flings and teachers. Would she be up for it in her past?

Hermione doesn't like her.

Marietta likely stays away from her and wouldn't necessarily know her personally but would recognize and flinch at the name.

She could be a former fling if he wishes, yes. She was involved with someone seriously her last year, but before that is pretty open. She's not necessarily one who enjoys one offs though a couple of those might've happened. We can discuss how it went with them :) she'd like to have a friendship if possible now or in the future.

That's too bad, she says. She thinks they could have good conversations.

I can see that, though the family name has good associations. Her mother heads the MLE and I think her eldest brother is an auror.

Ohhh, what if she was his first? Even the ever sexy Blaise Zabini had to start somewhere with someone.

Too bad, she's a bit judgmental when it comes to DE's.

Marietta probably remembers the death of the brother. Thinks like that stick out in her mind.

Ooooh, that could be very interesting. She would have been just the year or less older than him, and I could see it (I'm such a Blaise fan, haha, I've played him several times and I always love him, so I totally want to get to know your Blaise). That might be deliciously awkward on both ends, LOL

True, and to be expected, but Pandora thinks most people would do things for their families. But totally expected.

Yeah, they tend to. I don't think Pandora has ever gotten over it.

Yes just a year or so ahead of him. I believe they would have gotten past awkward before now. It would just be history at this point and memories.

Yes, just a year ahead in school so close in age. True. How do you see them getting on now? Friendly and such? Closeish, or just casual friends?

Probably friendly since there wasn't anything negative between the two of them. Maybe they flirted around for awhile and afterwards it was slightly awkward because Blaise definitely didn't fall in love. So I'd say they interact well when they see each other.

Went out for a little bit and then things got awkward. I don't think she was in love, but she was very fond, I think. Look forward to throwing them together sometime in the near future!

He can probably talk, to an extent, about the Experimental Charms Committee type things, but not the Unspeakable for sure lol Although whether or not he wants to talk about is is another story lol And :D

Yay Pandora.

I'm sure Greg would know her at least a little? Seamus and Dominic will be aware of her from Finnigan's. I'm not sure Lucy or Bryony would know her, though Pandora might know (or know of) Bryony's sisters who graduated in 94 and 95.

Also, did you have an alias in mind or a name for her aunt? I'm making a list of publications we have played characters working for.

:)

He would, yes. She was only a year above him, and she was Quidditch and prefect (though she wasn't pleased to still be on reserves when he played). likely she tried to help him with coursework as part of her prefect duties, and they probably practiced Quidditch together. She had a vicious arm for someone so small.

Yes. I'll comment with those when I get home... they're in a document on my computer :)

Oh, and yes, she'd probably have been familiar with Byrony's sisters. The Montgomery's have a somewhat similar traditional view, I think? Though a little more forward thinking (especially with her mother). So she'd have known them at least in passing.

Her alias is Deirdre Boxe.
Her aunt's name is Medea Montgomery, and is her father's sister.

Awesome, thanks for those :-)

And ooh, resentment between Goyle and Pandora. He probably thinks girls are rubbish at Quidditch. (Not that they shouldn't play, just that they're not as good even though he himself was pretty crap.)

NP!

She felt it was mostly a "Girls aren't good at Quidditch" move by people with the money who wanted to throw it around. (I think her father might have a similar opinion, or she'd have asked for money to be thrown on her behalf)

Follow up question: Is Inside and Out on DA, MA or somewhere else?

Also, yay. I feel like we have a nice core of NPCs who think quidditch is Not For Girls. Bryony feels less odd here than in previous games where everyone else seemed to be of the opinion that quidditch was for everyone.

I think she relocated it to MA when MA opened to get a better storefront, so let's go with that :)

Her mother bought her broom, I think, and she played well, but when the Malfoy money came in she lost her place to boys (and it pissed her off, though I don't know if/how she took revenge). Aw Byrony! The all boy Slytherin team of the Harry years always struck me as very boys play quidditch only sentiment.

Possibly, but what are the chances that a Slytherin mingled with a Gryffindor and a Hufflepuff? :P They probably crossed paths that's for sure.

OMG SHE & ADRIAN HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON I LOVE HER.

So, Adrian was a year older in Slytherin and his father (this is their big bad family secret) was strong armed into doing potions work for the DEs to protect the family. That's why they fled as soon as Adrian finished his 7th year in '96. More on all that here (though I do need to go into more detail there, I'm realizing), but I'd love to plot with them!

My others...

Chris is new. 26 year old Hufflepuff, just coming back, he's muggleborn and a do-gooder in everything except for having manners. I doubt they'd know each other (though he's only a year older than her in school, so maybe from school? He left Hogwarts before his 7th year though, at the end of OOTP). Totally up for plots though!

Romi likes her mostly on principle (she likes hot, weird girls) and if she's looking for work on the side, there's always the shop or the escort business. And of course Romilda is always looking for good Charms :)

Cormac probably wouldn't know her but they're the same year (he's a year older than Harry et al, she is, too, right?) though he was in Gryffindor. Maybe she wouldn't mind doing some charms work around his sports shop?

Cho. Oh my dear Cho. Cho would also be her year, though would probably be terrified of her for the Slytherin and the DEs and the time in St. Mungos. Cho's not good with different, you see, or with unpredictable. But she does love charms so I can see Cho sort of forgetting all about who she's talking to if they ever get talking about it at the pub or something :)

Heee yay!

That would be great. Since he was a year ahead and moved while she was just going into sixthyear, she might not have known... unless someone told her, which is possible. She did what she had to do, and if she was screwed up into wrongly enjoying some of it, well, she's working on that. It would be great for a plot with him though.

She might not know him per se though they probably crossed paths. She didn't care about blood herself, and aiming for the MLE, she was pretty much on the good train.

I can see her doing escort or something on the side if she hits hard up for money, though I'm not sure she'd like herself very much for it. She's definitely willing to talk charms business though and says she has some good glamours she could sell.

She would know cormac from classes if nothing else. She did Quidditch too, so there is that. She'll probably be in the shop wishing for a new broom or something at some point. She'd be interested in the work too I think.

At school, unless Marietta personally earned her wrath, they were probably okay - even then it was obvious that Pandora got on with Flitwick, and excelled in Charms. Though that could be cause for clashing too. But I can see the rest of it scaring Cho, if she knows about all of it or finds out. Would love to do something there!

So yes! Would love all the plots! Lol. Do something soon with one of them? I'm eager to get her out there and make her some connections, positive or negative.

Hey! I'm really liking your take on Pandora.

Vee: Was in Pandora's year so they might have had some classes together. He would probably be an awesome person to help her with her anger issues - feel free to ask him for some one-on-one meditation time or something, he'd be more than happy to share his knowledge.

Ernie: May have come across her in the Janus Thickey Ward if that was where she spent time at St. Mungo's.

Percy: Probably wouldn't have met her before, but would be interesting to see how they'd interact!

Gemma: Thinks she's cute, would have been her prefect for Pandora's first 2 years at school. Plus, she knows where to get what you need, baby ;)

Thank you! (I was so worried no one would like her)

They would have had some classes, I think, and Quidditch. I know she socialized some with people outside her House. And that's a good idea - she needs it, it's just a matter of her figuring out she can and should ask for help.

I think it might have been where she was for a bit at least. I know she's sometimes asked to come back so her spell damage can be remapped or whatever it is they do. She'll probably have problems pop up on and off because of it, so there's a chance they could meet again there (or for other things, if she gets hurt). If he came across her there, he would be one of the few to know the extent of her hearing damage without her magical aids.

I think it would be very interesting for them to interact sometime!

Pandora would remember her. I can see them being friends in the future maybe? I know she doesn't want to ever use anything again but I can see her needing an off the market potion at times. She used to self medicate though she generally prefers alcohol, but she's never been an addict.

Vee: Excellent! It can either be something that's already started or something new that can come up through threading - I'm up for either.

Ernie: Would love for something like that to happen at some point if you're up for it - let me know if I can help with any plottage!

Gemma: Off market potions can definitely be up Gemma's Alley (basically anything off-market - she knows people who know people). And yes, am up for possible future friends :D

Vee - Maybe something new? I'm not sure how ready she is to seek help on some things, when she trusts so few people. But she does very much need help.

Ernie - Totally up for it, and I'd love help :D

Gemma - Awesomeness!!

Rich probably wouldn't have paid too much attention to her at school. He was an active fighter at the Battle of Hogwarts, and on 'cleanup' duty after he found out his girlfriend had died during the fighting if you want some history there

Oooh. We could definitely do something with that. She wouldn't have hurt his girlfriend, but she hurt and even killed several Death Eaters in that Battle when she went batshit insane for a bit. So if you want to do something with that, that would be great :D

Cleanup as in collecting or killing DEs who were still fighting, tagging bodies for recovery, and performing field healing until the real healers got there.

He could have been the one that stunned her and hauled her in. He also would have testified on her behalf if he'd seen her offing DEs as he was doing a fair amount if that himself.
