Introduction the 4th - and House BINGO!
Hey all! Jaime here with #4, a Ravenclaw to finish the House Bingo.

Vikesh Moon, Beater for the Ballycastle Bats and a year above Harry, et.al. He played Hogwarts quidditch, but had to miss the 93-94 season due to a death in the family. A few things about him (and the rest you'll have to read in the bio):

  • Vee is a devout Hindu from a particularly ascetic sect, and thus has a very strict regimen during quidditch season (no alcohol, no junk food, regular prayers, and no sex or touching more than holding hands)
  • He's from Cho/Melinda's year at school, so would definitely know that Ravenclaw bunch
  • Has spent years studying yoga and meditation, and would love to do regular classes at Finnigan's in the Roost.
  • It's his first year playing quidditch on the main bench - has been on the reserves for a few years.

Am looking for friends, rivals, roommates (he has two, other quidditch players), anyone interested in yoga/meditation, and am open to much else but that's all I can think of at the moment (I'm at work so my brain isn't 100% :-p).

I thought at first you were like, "that's enough" like "you can stop now," and I was like, "What did I do?" lol

Lisa - Thinks he's INSANELY attractive, and while she doesn't care about Quidditch does find his faith admirable. Maybe they can get to know each other?

Harry - Remembers him from school maybe? He'd be friendly

Pansy - Also thinks he's hot, but unlike Lisa doesn't care about his faith and thinks it's a shame he's celibate for most of the year. She'd attend his yoga classes in an attempt to get him into bed. CONQUESTS YAY...sorry, she's awful.

Ben - May remember him from school, or from being friends with Cho. He'd be friendly!!

Lisa: Vee would be very open to getting to know someone respectful of his faith, and would probably check her bookshop to see what sorts of books she has on spirituality.

Harry: Definitely some respect there between quidditch players and students, though Vee would likey have some differences of opinion regarding Harry's profession and the use of violence therein ;)

Pansy: Is welcome to try, though she shouldn't be upset if her efforts don't gain her much ground ;) She is MORE than welcome to look, though!

Ben: Friendly is good, though Vee isn't exactly known for friendliness - he's too honest and forthright for that, so be prepared ;)

Lisa: She isn't necessarily religious, but she is spiritual. She practices Tae Kwan Do and there's a certain amount of spirituality connected with that. She's also into meditation and yoga, so would either take his class if it's offered, or offer to help him! The shop would have a small section on different relgions, spiritual practices, etc. - mostly Muggle as the Wizarding selection in that area is lacking in her opinion.

Harry: That's okay, Harry has a lot of doubts about his profession as well--mostly he's just tired of always fighting. I could be talked into getting him into yoga, if someone else suggested it to him! He still Occludes, so that's kind of like meditation in a way?

Pansy: Oh she'll try, and she says she doesn't fail so it'll be interesting when she does.

Ben: He doesn't mind honesty and forthrightness at all!

Lisa: No worries, it could give them plenty to talk about - while he has his own personal path, he's open to discussing and hearing about others' paths.

Harry: If he's ever talked into it, Vee is ready to teach the willing ;)

Pansy: I can't wait to see it! :D Should be so much fun!

Ben: Awesome! They'll get on well then!

Wow

Wow

Wow

Wow

Okay, so, yes, I can focus. The girls, alphatically:

Alicia - would remember him from Quidditch and now, again from Quidditch. She's not a big fan of Finbar Quigley (it's been mentioned that he's a Beater for the Bats as well, but if you say he isn't, then he isn't) but she won't hold that against Vikesh.

Melinda - yess, would definitely both remember and know him, even if she in many ways is the complete opposite of him. She's fascinated by his way of life, respects it, and will do her best to cater to his way of life when he visits (if he visits), and she could probably use a lesson in meditation or two... unless she's already getting them and that's how she's not stressing too much?

Rose - Finds him insanely attractive though wouldn't know him from any other Quidditch player. Even though her parents don't think so, she does have an immense respect, both for people, history, and culture.

I'm guessing you saw the picture on his bio, eh? ;) Yeah, I had the same reaction!

Alicia: I'm cool with Finbar being a fellow beater, but Vikesh is his own person and wouldn't be influenced by someone else's ill temperament. Ali would possibly remember Vee as a good sport, one who sees good even in defeat as the sport itself is the goal of playing, not winning (he's not competitive in that way, but is still good).

Melinda: Am very open to them already having regular meditation sessions. A friendship between opposites is always fun to play! Especially with her business, and he's the last person who'd buy any of her wares, but he wouldn't bother her about her 'extravagant' desserts and such.

Rose: Is welcome to look and to learn more!

Yeah, just a small glance ;)

Alicia: yeah, I don't know if Quigle's ill-tempered. Alicia and Susan just gloated a little about him having been obnoxious and now being on losing streak. Anyway, yes, she would remember Vee as a good sport which, even though she does like to win, is big in her book.

Melinda: it IS fun to play! And she wouldn't bother him about not wanting them, but she will ask just to make sure that she gets his tea right or at least not serve him anything wrong. But regular meditation sessions, would be a lifesaver for her and it would be something to bond over.

Rose: is trained to look and learn, and loves to draw. Oh, she'll look and enjoy learning more.

Melinda: Awesome! And yes, am looking forward to Vee bonding with people. Let me know whenever you're up for some bonding time ;)

Rose: Is welcome to draw him anytime ;)

Rose: Ooh, now that could be a good conversation starter; her drawing him?

lol I just got bingo too! And with a male Ravenclaw!

SOOOO, he and Eddie were dormmates. And Eddie is half Indian (though he is definitely not very religious/acetic. He doesn't eat beef but that's because red meat is gross). They should be friends even though Eddie maybe liked driving him mad.

Oliver is a quidditch player too! They should be friends for no other reason, Oliver loves quidditch lads!

Megan probably wouldn't know him super well, but again, would talk to post so there's at least randoms!

Astoria also wouldn't know super well, but she's polite and she very much respects abstaining, especially if it means he's polite and proper :D

Yay! And from the looks of things, a bunch of us thought around the same time "We need more POCs in this game!" :D I love when great minds think alike!

Eddie: Am very open to them being friends! Just beware my usual caveat that Vee is honest and forthright and doesn't do white lies, so Eddie would be used to that by now, which would then probably give him ammunition to try and drive Vee mad and test his non-violence :-p

Oliver: Good thing for Oliver that Vikesh isn't ultra competitive ;) Am open to a friend-like relationship, but beware this might mean comments on Oliver's training regimen (or lack thereof?) :-p

Megan: Always up for randoms!

Astoria: He actually isn't very polite or proper - usually those involve a certain amount of white lies/pretending that he doesn't do as he's too honest for that. He's not mean or cruel, though, just honest.

haha was my exact thought ;) And now the game is even more pretty *_* Anyway, yesss

SO, Eddie definitely doesn't mind honesty, he laughs it off, probably gets very amused to more angry Vee gets, but loves him all the same. I'm sure Vee appreciates when he goes off on missions and leaves him be for a bit ;)

Oliver: Well, as mentioned in his bio and canon, Oliver is a DRILL SARGENT and takes quidditch SUPER SERIAL OKAY. He is almost always first on pitch and definitely last to leave, so not much to fault him there. His goofy/jokey nature is a put on. Just remember when he nearly drowned himself when they lost the cup his 6th year. Things haven't changed much. They can compare notes and one up each other on awesomeness.

Megan: She will enjoy it! Probably all the better that he's all acetic, she thinks he should teach her his ways so she can get her mind off how bad things are at home lol

Astoria: Well, she would appreciate honesty, at the least! By proper she means not talking about sex or gross things, swearing a lot etc. lol That's how she rolls.

Definitely more pretty :D

Oh, I think Eddie will love Vee's reactions because he *doesn't* get outwardly angry, he gets disapproving and scowly-faced, yet insists he's not angry, all the while inside he's working hard to stop himself from feeling angry.

Oliver: Oh, Percy remembers that well, but wrong character :-p Am totes up for comparing notes!

Megan: Could definitely work!

Astoria: Ah, that's good then, she won't need to worry about that. He has a hard enough time keeping chaste without talking about sex all the time ;)

Okay so I made a little meeping noise but this is not about me, have some thoughts from my boys:

Dean is unlikely to remember him, but he might be interested in trying some yoga or meditation. All things that keep him balanced and calm of mind are good. He's not a Bats fan but he follows quidditch, will probably have heard his name.

Charlie is the wrong age to really know him from school, and he was out of the country until recently even if he did try to keep up with the quidditch. I'm not sure that they'd come across each other really, although I'm sure he'd be happy to talk quidditch or something if they did.

That's okay, I had that reaction too when I discovered Siddharth Malhotra, and I'm so glad I did!

Dean: No worries, Vee isn't obsessed with quidditch and can get along well with people who aren't into it, and he'd appreciate the interest in yoga/meditation. And don't worry if Dean hasn't heard his name much, he's just started on the Bats' first string - Dean probably wouldn't have heard much of him while he was on the reserves.

Charlie: No worires, but there's always room for randomness!

Blaise talked to Ravenclaws so if you want them to know each other that's cool.

Hermione doesn't really know him but will be polite.

So many gorgeous new men <3

I'm trying to work out if he and Dominic would have been on the Ravenclaw team together. Okay, after making copious notes - yes I think they would have done. Dominic's first season was 95 - 96 (aka Order of the Phoenix) and he played the next year (which would have been Vee's last, yes?) as well. He was a Chaser. So I imagine they'd know each other at least a little? And one of Dominic's teams is Ballycastle so he'd be excited for his former teammate to make it out of the reserves there!

Seamus would know him from the pub. I'm not sure yoga or meditation are really his thing, but he might come along just to see what it's all about - because he does that - or if Dean tried to drag him along.

Lucy never knows who anyone is so Vee should not feel offended that she doesn't know him either. She thinks he's very attractive, at least!

Seamus must be in heaven :-p

Dominic: Def. would have played togehter, yes, and yeah, would know each other. And nice to have a Bats supporter!

Seamus: Would love to see Dean drag him up there - let Seamus know that Vee teaches yoga dressed like in the picture in his bio, in case he needed another incentive ;)

Lucy: No worries, he doesn't have much of an ego so no offence.
