Hi! Greetings and salutations :) My name is Jasmine, and I'm new here. I haven't done HP RP in ages, so bear with me a little. I'm also a bit shy to start, but please don't let that put you off! I love to chat about game or non game things if given a chance.

I'm bringing in Rolf Scamander . I hope you like him, and I promise he's more in depth than his bio seems! I'd welcome all kinds of lines and ideas, so please, don't be shy about contacting me. He's been back in England for a couple months, recuperating from a serious injury and taking over his family's animal shop and rescue operation, The Bestiary. I'd love to find him some friends and all sorts of lines.

Please feel free to ping me or email me. I do beg some indulgence right away - I just moved and I thought I'd get internet late last week, but cable misled me so it won't be til this week. So until then I'm mostly on my phone, and while I try to catch my errors, autocorrect is evil and IJ isn't always mobile friendly :P I work nights so I'm on a lot at late and odd hours, and if I don't respond immediately it is nothing personal! Just things being busy. I know I don't even have an icon yet for Rolf, but it's awfully hard to make icons on a phone! I promise he'll have one shortly.

I hope to be involved in some threading with you all soon!

Great to see you back to RPing and to see Rolf in this game. I'm Kat, and I have three girls here:

Alicia Fawley (nee Spinnet -

_alicia_) - Gryffindor, 4 years older than Rolf, widow and single mother of 5 year old twins, Isla and Liam. Alicia is a part-time Healer for Pride of Portree and the co-founder of The Daniel Fawley Foundation. She's sweet and somewhat no-nonsense but usually willing to help out. I don't know that she would know or remember Rolf from school, however, she's bound to have been dragged into the Bestiary by her own little beasties (Isla and Liam) ever since it's opened (and no, they're not getting a pet).

Melinda Bobbin (

_melinda_) - Ravenclaw and 3 years older than Rolf. Melinda owns and runs the pâtisserie in Monument Alley, Sweet Nothings, and she is sweet and polite and gentle and smiling, and she may know Rolf either from the LBB or as a customer.

Finally there's Rose Zeller (this journal and my newest addition) - Hufflepuff, 2 years younger than Rolf, and she's just moved on from basic training to working with a Cursebreaker team out of Gringott's in London. Rose has some trust issues, but she's confident (or at least appears to be) and very careful not to come across as too smart. She may know Rolf from school (take a look at her profile and see if anything clicks), she may be open to a pet (though she would need a sitter when she's on a mission), but they might get along :)

Nice to meet you! It's a little nerve wracking getting back into a group, when I've done private plays for so long, but I'm looking forward to it.

Rolf would be happy to let the kids play with animals and teach them about them, sonlong as they listen about being gentle :) Alicia he might wheedle gently about a pet.

He likes sweet things so if he hasn't been there yet, he will.

They likely met, as Rolf was pretty friendly and very smart. I can see them bonding or having bonded over having distant parents. It's possible at some point Rolf deflected attention from her or her friends during that one year. And a petsitter is possible, he says!

I'd say you've picked the right place :)

They're gentle with animals, if they're told to be. Alicia already has twins and an Oliver Wood; she doesn't need anymore pets.

Sweet Nothings has been in Monument Alley since the beginning, so two years.

In that case, Rolf would be one of the very, very few people who knows. Also, if he deflected attention from her, she would have gone out of the way to help him out later. Perhaps that's when she realised her talent for forging documents and sweet-talking people? She'll definitely consider a pet. Not a dog. She's scared of dogs.

	Then he'll get on with the kids well. He likes kids. Lol and an Oliver Wood. Hahaha yes. If he knows he wouldn't say anything. It's up to her if that happened, but I could sort of see it. 	They're good kids, so I'm sure he will :) I think that shall have happened. Bonding during that war year where she was sent there even if she begged not to go? I don't think he realized what was going on - out of the country the summer before - and then his family wasn't there to pull him out again. So definitely in common there. Yay a bond!

Well he has at least one dog (I'm still trying to figure out what is his nd what is the shop's, oy) but that dog wouldn't hurt a persom unless it was attacking him. But he won't let it bother her :) he met a vampire once. Didn't like it.

Hi Jasmine, welcome back to RP. I'm Caroline. I have two.

This is Charlie, I haven't intro'd him yet (next on my list), he runs the local club, Wingbeat, and is missing a lot of his right leg for which he has a prosthetic. He wouldn't know Rolf as such, but he's a big fan of the family's work and absolutely loves animals of all kinds. He'd still be studying dragons if he could do so safely. Depending on his roomate's thoughts he might be willing to do some temporary fostering of some animals.

I also have

artistdean (Dean Thomas) who is an artist and works at the pub part time (mostly daytime and quiet evenings). He hasn't even got an owl because money is tight and his schedule is awful. He'll look forward to meeting Rolf, but he has PTSD so he can be quiet and twitchy. He's friendly enough though.

Prosthetic! Sorry, it's like you read my mind for aomething I was thinking about earlier if I decide to take another character down the road. Rolf will likely get on very well with Charlie, I think, and would love to exchange research when he begins to update his grandfather's book.

Well, if Dean were willing to foster or something Rolf says thry might be able to work something out. Pets can be good therapy.

Oh, yes, I knew I'd forgotten something. Charlie has actually had published papers on dragons, he'd love to talk about them with Rolf. He has a huge mess of further notes and stuff that need sorting and he'd be happy to lend if he thinks Rolf trustworthy.

The fostering might work, but Dean is equal parts insomniac and workaholic (because he's passionate) so as much as he knows the benefits of an animal for therapy he doesn't feel like he can have one (silly boy). He gets hugs from friends (mostly Seamus) instead.

Hi Jasmine, and welcome! I'm Jinx, and this Marcus Flint. He was a Slytherin, class of '94, so he probably didn't know Rolf in school. He was also a Death Eater during the war, though that wasn't something he really chose, and he then spent four years in Azkaban. Nowadays he's a Chaser for the Appleby Arrows. Although he doesn't really have time for a pet (as much as he'd like one) he might still stop in the shop just to see what's there. I look forward to writing with you!

	Hi! Thank you for the lovely welcome (everyone is so nice so far :)). Unless he bullied or ganged up on Rolf, they're mostly okay, though he regards all former Death Eaters with some suspicion given some of what happened to him. He's welcome to come around! 	Marcus was more focused on Quidditch than anything else during his Hogwarts years, so Rolf shouldn't have to worry about that. And he is rather used to being regarded with some sort of distrust, so he's taught himself not to take it personally. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hi Jasmine! Lovely to have you in the game! I'm Dylan and I have Susan Bones (Hufflepuff, two years older than Rolf) and Roger Davies (Ravenclaw, five years older than Rolf)

Roger may not have really known Rolf, but he is sort of keen for a pet so I can see interaction in that way?

Susan would know Rolf from school, and is always looking to be nice and friendly with former house mates, so they could have any sort of plot you'd like really :D

Also I'm GMT+8, so I may actually be awake and online when you're on at weird times :D

Definitely he is welcome to come to The Bestiary and see if anything there clicks with him.

He would definitely know Susan. He'd love to catch up and perhaps they can reminisce or something. I'm very open to all sorts of plots, so if you have any ideas, please make suggestions!

Oooh yay! Feel free to ping or email or whatever if you want, then! I often have messenger running on my phone :) I'd love another person to talk or plot woth when I have the chance, and so few people are up when I am!

Welcome to the game :-) We're all nice here, I promise.

I'm Kaylie and I've got three characters so far. Seamus Finnigan ([Bad username: open bottle]), obviously, runs a pub so he sort of knows everyone. He's in charge of Battlescars so if he gets wind that Rolf might find it useful he would definitely encourage him to come.

Dominic Chambers (

knowhow) also works at the pub as handyman. He's not quite so involved, or as good with the names and faces as Seamus so he might not know Rolf yet, unless he remembers him from school (he'd have been a year older than him).

Lucy Spinks ([Bad username: adding value]) would have been two years above Rolf, also in Hufflepuff. She might remember him a bit but she's been out of the magical world since Dumbledore's death.

I am open for all the future plots!

Thank you! You all certainly seem so :) I can't tell you how nervous I've been about joining a group again.

He'll definitely be coming by the pub even if he isn't a huge drinker (most of the time). There might be a time when he'll figure out that Rolf might could use the group!

Dominic is welcome yo remember him. Rolf was a friendly kid :)

She's welcome to remember him and he says welcome back to the magic world, and if she wants a familiar or a familiar face to please come around.

So am I! So if you have an idea, please never hesitate to ask! I am very open to things.

	Rolf would recognize him at least. Especially in school he was a friendly and putgoing kid, and helpful. He'd probably have gone out of his way to talk to someone who was very quiet. He'd love to meet him again sometime. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Hi!

I have Luna. They clearly need some kind of interaction. Is the animal shop like a place to get supplies for animals or more like a hospital? Because if it's the first one, maybe they could have like a thing where if you shop at his place, you can get a discount at the vet. Or if you go to the vet, you get a discount at his place. Or if it's a hospital like hers, then they can just have friendly competition.

Either way she'll chat his ear off about animals.

Yes they do! I hadn't seen Luna when I signed up :)

He can see them having a mutual sort of loop - he probably gives her the rough off rescues for healing, and maybe she gives some to him to sell or adopt through the shop? He can do some of the basic stuff but he'd prefer a professional do the major stuff, and the general work ups on the animals. His are kept in the best of care. And a beneficial discount would be fabulous he thinks. He's very much looking forward to something withher, hopefully kn the near future :)

Hi! I'm atticus and I have three:

- This is Padma Patil. We've talked about her. She thinks the Hufflepuff Sorting makes complete sense, if Houses follow family members.

- Next is Sally Smith, Slytherin '98. She's pretty mild. Definitely not on the 'kill the mudbloods' train, but still a bit of a purist (it's complicated). She's an untransfigurer in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad.

- last is Ginny Weasley, who finds him hilarious, and might get the idea to set him up with Luna if things with Neville don't work out. She's a Quidditch reporter for the Prophet and VERY not attached to Harry. She'd dating a Quidditch player, in fact, and has no desire to rekindle her childhood crush on Harry.

Hello Jasmine! I'm Sarah! We discussed these two briefly, hopefully will do more, but let me do a little rundown of my others.

Oliver Wood

oliverwoodwood is a Gryffindor 94 grad and Keeper for Puddlemere United. He lives/breathes quidditch, is excitable and a big puppy dog of love. He can kind of say/do stupid things without thinking, but he has a good heart and he really does mean well. He likes to joke, secretly loves Jane Austen, and is afraid of gnomes. He won't know him super well, but he's friendly!

Megan Stewart (Jones)

hotcrossed is a trio year Puff, so she would remember him a bit from school. She left after the battle and lived in the muggle world for a bit so she understands that part. Anyway, she owns Hot Crossed Buns, a lingerie and perfume store in Monument Alley, and is unhappily married to a man 30 years her senior. She's overly romantic and reads too many trashy romance novels so unfortunately she is thinking of an affair in her head. She just adopted a kitten from Luna, so possibly she might get supplies for them? Or is it just magical animals? Anyway, she'd talk to a post so I imagine she'll be friendly at least!

Finally I have Astoria Greengrass

sew_perfect, who is the same year as him! Yay finally more people she might interact with! Astoria is a designer at Twilfit & Tattings, working primarily on custom orders and anything that has charms attached. She's a hard worker and is very polite/proper. He seems gentlemanly so she would be very kind, and maybe they got on a bit in school? She's not a purist at ALL despite the future husband, so..yeah.

ANYWAY up for anything!!! Glad you joined us!

I can see him and Oliver getting along pretty wrll despite an age gap :)

He can very much sympathise with her leaving. It's not the easiest returning now. I don't really see him coming to her shop (he would turn SO red I think). He carries supplies for all animals and carries mundane as well as magical creatures. she might remember him as a friendly and helpful kid back in school.

He is definitely a gentleman, his family would slap him silly if he weren't. (Three sisters and a strict grandmother... yes) yay an age mate! We totally need to talk about school interactions and such. They could definitely have gotten on, and though he tends to dress for comfort and has found a great love of jeans, he hopes they can reconnect and be friends!

Hey Jasmine! Welcome to the game! Here are my 4 babies:

Ernie: As Rolf was a Hufflepuff, he may have met Ernie in some way, shape, or form even if they were 2 years apart - Ernie was always among people, making them feel welcome, offering younger years a listening ear or help with school. He's also a mediwizard, so if ever you need one... well,t here's a few in-game, but I'm always happy to have Ernie lend a hand.

Percy: Probably hasn't had a chance to interact with Rolf, but am totally open to finding them a way to meet.

Gemma: Is likely a reason why there's a rescue operation in the first place, unfortunately. She runs the illegal crup-fighting ring, so I'm guessing some of the 'losers' may find their way into the rescue's care. Strangely enough, she loves (some) animals, she just separates her own loves from business, and this is business that's good financially.

Vikesh: Would respect the rescue and see Rolf as acquiring good karma.

He likely would know Ernie at least in passing. He was a friendly, helpful kid in school. He's also recovering from a gryphon mauling, so I know he does some form of pt and still is healing, so there's that too.

Totally willing to meet with Percy as well.

Ooooh. Good potential there and we can probably do something with that. He wouldn't like her much at all for that though. He's likely had more than one rescue from that.

He believes in karma, I think, though I don't know to what extent. Vikesh is welcome to come to the rescue or the shop anytime.
