I'm always very, very bad about turning in fics for exchanges on time ... I think I've turned things in as much as two weeks late before. I'm not actually sure if I've ever turned anything in on time ... maybe some musing about time management and deadlines and signing up for too many things is in order. :)
Anyhow, I finished my slashnotsmut fic and sent it into the mods ... only three hours late! Yay! *throws confetti and takes a dose of cough medicine to celebrate* :) |

The one item from your list that you most want to complete: the priest!Snape story ... with no deadline, I'm worried that I'll neglect it and never finish it.

Item you are dreading the most/need the most encouragement on: all of the belated bday ficlets ... and there are so many of them ... *whimper*
How do you start a project? mmm, I work best with a vague idea of where I'm going but no concrete outline, and a killer first sentence. That last part doesn't happen nearly as often as I'd like.
In what conditions do you work best? word wars!
One thing that always inspires you to create: other than the sheer panic inspired by deadlines? umm ... no one specific thing, really. It's just a general writingly mood that I need to have.
One general thing you would really like to improve on: Plot, I'm very bad at writing plot.
Advice and/or questions regarding the creative process that you have for the other members of the community: Err ... anyone want to write something for me? I have bunnies! :D
No, seriously, I'd like advice on how other people manage to make deadlines, and how they juggle the work-life-fandom balance of things as they do so.

Okay, so I've completed one of the items on my list (#3, the ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) fall_fantasia fic ... only I can't provide a link to it! It's for an anon fest, and that would rather spoil the point of the anonymity, wouldn't it? I dunno, you can e-mail the mod if you need proof, maybe? I'm not sure how it works, maybe I should have asked before putting all these anon fest fics on my list. Or maybe had second thoughts before I signed up for so many ... |
