O HAY. I'm Fin, posting on behalf of roadmaps, an AU Marauders Era game. We're journal-centric (because things are so fast-paced and plot-heavy), the perfect blend of humor and drama, and have an incredible cast in character and out that would love for you to be involved.
Here's what we're about: Roadmaps is a Mauraders Era RPG centered around the hunt for Horcruxes. This time, the Horcruxes have been scattered across the globe and a mad scramble has erupted between the Order, Death Eaters, and Ministry to reach the Horcruxes first (with journalists trailing behind) before Voldemort can return.
Right now, characters are dropping by England after the current Horcrux: Ravenclaw's diadem. England is all abuzz with gossip surrounding activity abroad and Death Eater activity is on the rise (attacks, using the activity abroad to move into government positions at home, etc. etc). So, now is the perfect time to throw your character in.
While we'd sincerely love to have anyone you'd like to bring, we're currently in desperate want need of the following characters:
Sirius Black: I KNOW! And, yes!, he's actually available. With Sirius Black, there are so many opportunities to interact with all the fine people here (including his amazing family members and friends) and cause drama. Vernon Dursley: He's not just wanted, he's an essential! Think of all the unique opportunities you have for interactions in game with a divisive figure like Vernon. He's probably going to make some people re-exam their view of muggles on the Order's side if he's particularly unpleasant. Death Eaters might find him relatable (both pushing for strong separation between their worlds and family values) as they have with Petunia or proof that muggles really are dangerous. And, best of all, you have a lot of room to flesh him out -- why's he so obsessed with having a normal family, what was he like before having to deal with Harry? Mundungus Fletcher: The Order's a bit too cozy now. They need someone to make their lives miserable -- steal their stuff, smoke in their kitchen and around their kids, corrupt their kids, make them work for information he acquires, and accidentally shoved into crazy shenanigans. Rabastan Lestrange: One of the only descriptions we get about Rabastan is that at his trial he was "nervous-looking". Bring the Death Eaters someone relatively shy and socially awkward -- whether that person is Rabastan or not -- and he'll be eaten alive by the Death Eaters, who would have a field day finding new and creative ways to make his life a living hell daily. Rufus Scrimgeour: Someone seriously has to get the Ministry in line. The Prophet's full of articles about incompetent the Ministry is, Alastor Gumboil's just letting everyone know the Ministry's plans and slacking off, Bertha's setting things on fire. There are a ton of Order and DE-aligned workers just spouting off information to their respective organizations and sitting on their bums and we could go on. Well, that's where Scrimgeour -- man of action -- comes in. With Scrimgeour, you have the potential of playing a character who's all about making the Ministry look good -- no matter what. It could be arresting the wrong people to "boost morale" or making big, symbolic gestures that are ultimately meaningless. Arthur Weasley. His mom was Cedrella Black who was blasted off the tree just for marrying a pureblood who was cool with muggles and he's got that thing against Lucius Malfoy. Who doesn't want to play that? Besides that, there's his obsession with muggle inventions like "escapators" -- sure to be in overdrive when he's abroad and forced to live among muggles. He has a ton of opportunities to offend muggleborns and muggles in game and purebloods alike.
So, go put in a hold, seriously! We'd love to have you there.
