Game/Small GPSL wanted [25 Oct 2011|11:54am]
I'm really wanting to get back into writing Marauders era Sirius Black. My time online is kind of scattered, so I'm looking for either a slower paced game, or a small group psl.

I'm pretty flexible as far as game premise and AU versus Canon, but here's a short list of things I'm not really interested in:
- time displacement - I get bored with these easily. However. I'm not opposed to checking them out, just to see if they might strike my fancy.
- panfandom - I have had my fill of these games. I always feel awkward, and interaction out of fandom is hard.
- pre established relationships - I refuse to join a game that has had Sirius paired off with someone. If he does end up settling down, I want it to happen organically.
- slash. While, granted, Sirius has probably done some stupid things drunk, this is not one of them.

Thats pretty much it.

Hey there! I have a special request - I'm not looking for a player, I'm looking for a potential co-mod.

The Game:
Will be a little bit different than your standard-fare first war game. Or even your standard fare first-war AU, for that matter. The plot is basically "the world has gone to hell in a handbasket, it's up to you and everyone else in magical Britain/Ireland to solve a problem when the only person who could have fixed everything is deady dead dead." It's going to be largely journal-based for reasons vaguely explained in the FAQ. Here's what I have so far: background and rules ; the FAQ.

Why do I need a co-mod?
I hate to say it, but I'm better at the adinistration of a game than the IC stuff. I can code, I can assess applications, I can keep the mod journal updated and organized, I can deal with player questions and resolve disputes, left to my own devices I think I can come up with a fairly decent plot and ideas for game progression, and I can write up a damn good meme. I fall down when it comes to getting players and characters to interact and keep the story running.

What I need:
Someone dedicated and upbeat who will interact with the players, set up chats, and get them to interact with people outside of their own cliques. Preferably someone who is online more than once every couple of days.
Someone who is a tiresome obsessive when it comes to details. Are you the kind of person willing to spend time on Wikipedia and Google Maps to find out exactly where your character lives?
Someone who likes worldbuilding and enjoys toying around with HP canon. This is especially important because a lot of the ideas I came up with for this game aren't explored in canon. I need someone to poke holes in my plots and provide their own ideas for making the game as interesting as possible.

Anyone interested should either comment here and I'll give you my contact info.

Perhaps a slightly unusual request but one that seems as though it might get a bite:

[info]pamods has been going for about 5 months and is a post DH social game focused on British wizarding society rebuilding after the war. There's a lot going on there, including wizengamot elections and we have lots of characters open, particularly order members like Kingsley, McGonagall, and Dedalus; lots of kids in 1998, several Weasleys (George, Percy, and Ginny), and always could do with more purists!

What I'm looking for is a little more specific. I have Jiang Liu, a psych healer and part-time Celestina Warbeck impersonator ([info]wandaswish) and as I play him more, I've come to realise that I would LOVE to get Jiang's drag rival in play. Thus far, her drag name is Fabra Jaye Egg and she's a muggleborn--I don't have a real name, occupation, age, or face in mind, and even pre-existing details would be up for negotiation.

I'm seeing a brilliant frienemy line. Plus~ when else would you get a chance to play a wizarding drag queen, right? I can also help with screencapping and making icons if you need! ♥

audeamos - a riddle era rpg [25 Oct 2011|09:22pm]
Hello players!

I am the moderator for [info]audeamos, a Riddle era Hogwarts-Centric RPG. We are set in 1943 during Grindelwald's revolution and a booming World War II. We are a social game that focuses on the lives of students as they face a war many of them do not want or care very little about. England has recently joined the Allied Nations in defense against Grindelwald and has implemented a draft, 7th years who are eligible have just 10 months to figure out what they're going to do before they're shipped off to the mainland to fight. What will you decide?

We are looking for a bunch of characters!

First and foremost are Hufflepuff students, we only have two in game, plus their head of house. We definitely need more to balance out the hot headed Gryffindors and cunning Slytherins in play.

Druella Rosier, we have your brother Laurence! We'd love to have you in game for whatever shenanigans the girls of Slytherin can produce.

Blacks, we have Alphard, Walburga, Charis and Orion in game. They'd certainly love more interaction with the family! There is at least one Black in every year!

5th year students of all houses. You ever want to play a 5th year Prefect to lord over the 7th year non-prefects? It's certainly an interesting power struggle! But seriously, we have 3 fifth year students who would love some interaction with people their age!

Anyway, please come take a look at our available list of characters!
