Hey there, my name is Niyki. I'm looking for someone to fill a storyline idea I had for a character I am applying for at ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) gobstoning, Ophelia Rivers (![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) drownariver). She's still a work-in-progress, but I have her personality complete and fleshed out so at least you can see what she's like. To summarise, this girl is impatient, highly ambitious, and spurns the very idea of following her mother's footsteps and choosing her aims in life as to get married to someone filthy rich, have children, be a socialite in general, etc.
The tension here (and the storyline idea) is that she's being pressured by her parents to follow this exact route. Being that gobstoning is a Hogwartsian game set during Deathly Hallows, Ophelia is bound to lessen her resolve as the events of the year play out, and she begins to fear the security of her future more and more. What I would love to see is the unfortunate bloke in question. I'm totally open-ended as to who he is, what he's like, etc. My only stipulation is that he is a pureblood. He's probably going to be Ophelia's Most Hated Person Ever To Breathe, so yay for backstory and insta-antagonism?

Hey!
Im Alex, and I play Dean Thomas at Euterpe's Corner. Its a really great game, not too big with friendly, creative players. It's a fairly casual game, as well, focussed on relationships post-DH; to that end, we're Trio-less, and all characters live in a building of flats owned by Terence Higgs and wife.
My Dean makes his living as a portraitist, producing works of art very similar to the ones seen in Hogwarts. It's not his dream job, but it's a living, and by sharing a flat with Lavender Brown, Seamus Finnigan, and Blaise Zabini, he's able to save money to quit the portrait business and survive while making less conventional art. He thinks Wizarding art is far too constrained, and thinks the conservativeness found in the majority of it is very nearly tragic; it's not unfair to say that his goal in life is to change that. He's in a flat on the lowest level of the building, with Lavender Brown, Seamus Finnigan, and Blaise Thomas, and has a weird relationship with Parvati; they've been friends forever, but she's fancied him for nearly as long, although that hasn't stopped her from getting together with all the wrong men. Dean, for his part, just kind of assumed she was never interested.
What I'm looking for, though, is for Dean to have a relationship that doesn't involve Parvati. Male or female is irrelevant, as my Dean is bisexual (I know, it's such a stereotype, but it's how I've always played him and now I can't imagine doing him any other way)! There are benefits to either way, honestly, so it's really what you prefer. Aside from a list of banned characters, anyone between 18 an 30 is open for play, and Dean is really just looking for someone fun and sweet, and I'm looking for someone he can get close to, and then with a little luck become really torn about-- Parvati or this person?
