Original Harry Potter
This is a long shot, but I'm craving an original RP set in the Potterverse with an original charcter.
His name is Faolan McCraith. PB is Aidan Turner. He's a pure-blooded Irish 32 year old Gryffindor alumni. Served the Ministry for several years as an Auror, but was recently canned under 'mysterious' circumstances (bitten by a werewolf, tried to hide it, superiors found out, claimed werewolves even medicated by wolfsbane were too unstable and controversial for an Auror position). So now Faolan works as a freelance Hitwizard, performing various private investigation duties for magical clients, or taking the tough gigs the Ministry doesn't want to touch. He's a blend of John Constantine, Spike with a dash of Harry Dresden thrown in. A blue collar 'warlock' with a (literally) biting sarcasm, willingness to take on any gig as long as the galleons are glistening, and has connections - high and low - throughout the wizarding world. He lives in a dingy flat above a bar in Knockturn Alley, with a pet jarvey who likes to swear and drink whiskey, and an old family banshee who secretly loves him and constantly foretells his death. He is an expert duelist and master of silent spells, but his Potion making skills leave a lot to be desired.
Prefer M/F pairings and Mature RPs (with swearing, violence and sexual scenarios, though I don't mind fading to black). Plot and character development will always be more important to me than porn. I like toying around with clashing personalities and sexual tension.
Had a few basic plot ideas:
1.) A pack of werewolves tired of oppression have created an elixir which allows werewolves to control their shifts like animagi. Only problem is, the elixir requires the blood of an animagus, so even animagi who keep their powers secretive are turning up dead left and right. An animagus comes to Faolan for help, but their trust is broken once they discover Faolan is a werewolf himself.
2.) The Minister of Magic, who knows Faolan from his Auror days, receives threats from an organization claiming responsibility for a recent resurgence in dark magic. Fearing for the life of he and his family, the Minister hires Faolan to be a bodyguard for his rebellious daughter fresh from graduating Hogwarts, who isn't so thrilled to have a chain smoking, sarcastic 'babysitter' watching her every move.
3.) A representative from the Department of Mysteries arrives at Faolan's doorstep, and sends him on a mission with little choice. The Ministry has been unable to maintain a 'veil' in the area, and muggles are reporting sightings of monsters and paranormal activity. The Department of Mysteries believes the town could house a portal to another magical dimension, allowing other beings and creatures to pass through without concealment. Faolan is hired along with female Unspeakable to pose as a newly married muggle couple moving in town. She is more of the 'scientist,' studying the portals whereabouts and cause, while he is there for her protection and the protection of muggles.
4.) A Seer saves Faolan's life in someway, and though he used to dismiss Divination as hippogriff shite, realizes how useful her abilities are. She becomes the Cordelia to his Angel, and together they investigate magical crimes the Ministry turns its back to, while trying to hide the Seer's power from those who may seek to exploit it.
