  • During the infamous witch craze of the 1600’'s, Sarah Evans and her daughters, with the help of a local, Native American shaman founded Ipwich Academy in Salem Village, (now known as) Danvers, Massachusetts. Sarah, under the guise of a midwife, opened her home to young witches, and as their powers flourished, so did the Academy. In 1875 the buildings that are known today as Ipwich Academy were erected and became an officially recognized magical institution.

It wasn't until the 1900's and the war that raged on in Europe that the Academy finally opened it's doors to wizards as well as witches, along with allowing children from outside of North & South America.

Ipwich is a Harry Potter-esque game set in Danvers, Massachusetts in the year 2009. It is an original game based on the world created by J.K. Rowling and has incorporated all the favorite aspects of Harry Potter with the leverage to find its own path in the choice of characters, blood, items, spells, and future destinations.

We will cap the game off with 10-12 players. We are looking for active, creative writers to join our little family of players.

LOOKING FOR 5-7 MORE CREATIVE WRITERS. Join today!

    Diagon Alley – Summer 2003

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.
    ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The Department of Magical Games and Sports is proud to announce that England has made the World Cup Championships! To celebrate such a momentous occasion, local businesses of Diagon Alley have chosen to sponsor an intramural Quidditch League. New Recruiting HP RPG [16 Jul 2009|06:21pm]
En Passant- An HP Post-DH AU RPG

    The year is 2000.

The world survived the much-anticipated Y2K and it should be business as usual as the Wizarding World still slowly recovers from the aftermath of the Second War. However, with so much focus being placed on justice against captured war criminals and so much energy focused on reconstruction, something has terribly wrong.

It is now that He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named is truly gone that the Wizarding World encounters a new problem. A problem more mysterious to them than the Dark Lord ever was. A problem that has remained uncharted territory for the majority of magical folk:

    Muggles.

With the defeat of the Dark Lord and not even a whisper of a new uprising, the Ministry neglected to keep a tight and secure lock on all of the Wizarding World’s defenses. Thus the charms and precautions keeping muggles away from the Wizarding World were weak enough that a small group of muggles breeched the barriers.

Immediately after this news broke in both communities the majority of the muggle community becomes a-frenzy with the new discovery. Some wish to exploit it for profit, some fear it because they do not understand it—and, perhaps the most dangerous, some view the Wizarding community as abnormal and subhuman and seem to be taking their apprehensions to the extreme. They claim to hope to find a cure (or if need be—a means of extermination) to rid the world of what they view as some sort of mutation.

It is the belief of the Ministry of Magic that keeping the barriers open between the magical and muggle worlds would pose as a danger to innocent civilians on both sides. And thus—on December 31st, 2000—the barriers will be sealed forever. Now, those who were previously living a double life in both worlds (muggleborns, halfbloods, etc) must make a permanent move into the Wizarding community or have their wands taken and live on as a muggle.

In the meantime—to keep tabs on the population for safety—Minister Shacklebolt has distributed enchanted journals to keep everyone in contact with each other on a secure network without raising muggle suspicion.

But could it be too late? Will too much damage already be done by December 31st ?

Your part of this journey begins when you open up your journal and begin writing it. Remember—dark and difficult times lie ahead (what else is new?). Think you knew Harry Potter? Don’t bet your last galleon on it.

This game takes place post-Deathly Hallows but completely ignores the epilogue. Thus no pairings are set in stone. However we ask that you read the rules before considering application and keep in mind that all things preceding the conclusion of DH are considered canon and should be considered accordingly in the development of your characters.

Also. We are currently NOT accepting original characters and no one is being brought back to life.

Currently all but three characters are open. Open characters include Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, George Weasley, Draco Malfoy, and Oliver Wood.

Benoit Lycées de Sorcellerie for boys was founded in 1735 in Dordogne France. It was established for the sons of the Wizarding Elite, during the French Revolution to keep the nobel sons save from the lower classes, so they could prosper in the future.

Benoit Lycées provides a good environment to keep their students on track in their studies, while still experiencing unique opportunities in extracurricular activities, and developing learning, leadership and problem solving skills important for their future endeavours.

The curriculum is more demanding than some of the other Wizard schools, but we have capable staff that are always there to provide the help students with their every need. At Benoit Lycées de Sorcellerie, they will become the men they are destined to be.

This is an all boy, slash friendly social game based in France. The game is set in the present year, many years after the War conflict in England. Everything is relativity peaceful in the World, and another school year is about to start.
