"Oh, right," he nodded in understanding at Riley's unease. Xander no longer had to hide from the outside world who he worked for, but the Initiative golden boy did. That, and breaking and entering were generally considered societal no-nos. "I forgot that people tend to be a little guarded about... crime," he teased in a lowered voice.
He took a sip from his drink and listened to Riley's proposed explanation. At face value, it honestly didn't bother him that much that the secret agent broke into W & H. There was always some stupid reason for a good guy to step on another good guy's toes; comic books had taught him that much. What he found peculiar, though, was the fact that it was him who Riley had chosen to confess to. He was almost considering asking "why me?", but if Riley was going to overrate Xander's importance, he was going to let it happen.
"My stomach is currently superceding my Scooby loyalty, so you're on."
