She hadn't been with anybody in awhile, if you didn't count her sleeping with his own son. He tried to push that image from his mind. Why did he have to be the one to stumble across the two people he loved, betraying him right before his very eyes? Sometimes this painful subject ended up in his nighmares. The fact that he was with her now?...It wasn't easy, but he loved her.
He thought about this problem often.
Shaking his head, he cleared his throat, large hands picking her up, and moving her so he could get up off the couch. Once he found his balance, strong arms cradled her like a romantic, a gentle kiss being placed on her lips. That was until his hip began beeping.
A groan spilled, lowering her until her feet met the ground. He checked his beeper.
Emergency number.
" You got to be kidding me..." He felt like throwing a temper tantrum. Growling low, he reached for his red silk shirt, puppy dog eyes flashing in Cordelias direction. "I'm so...so sorry. You can come a long if you'd like?..." A hand even traveled around towards the door emphizing the invitation.
" I'd love to keep you around," he smiled sweetly. " We could use the time together, and you'll be filled in with everything I'm about to find out. Something serious is happening."
