She sniffled, she didn't even look up or over at Eliot when he came into the bathroom. She already knew who it was. She probably should have acknowleged him at first, but she felt like if she lifted her head from her hands he'd see a monster. The weakness monster.
Suddenly he was talking, and though she was sobbing she heard everyword. By the time she looked up to call him crazy, he was looking at the window over his shoulder. He looked back at her and Buffy immediately moved the back of her hand to whipe at the stray tears rolling down her cheeks.
Outside?
She laughed, sort of, it was more of a laugh of disbelief in what he had asked her than a ha-ha funny kind of laugh.
Outside?
Her head shook and her head dropped to look at her feet. Sunshine? Outdoors? Park? Things she hadn't been involved with in ages. Was he being serious right now? Her hands slipped between her legs, they clamped around them and her lips pressed together.
No one would see her.
But the one person she didn't want to see her like this had already saw her. Okay, maybe she didn't want Lindsey to see her like this either, or Angel because she didn't want him to think he had some kind of power over her or something. It wasn't really so much Angel as what he said to her.
