Eliot spared one final smirking grin for Lindsey, focusing his thought speech toward Lindsey to make the comment. "See, I will always be the favorite."
Lindsey was annoying, it was true. But at the same time it was the kind of annoying Eliot had gotten used to with the Leverage crew. He was in a good mood now so he'd argue and banter back. When he was in a bad mood he'd be treating Lindsey to his scaring-people glare, but it would take more than Lindsey to scare him off.
He'd been with Parker and Hardison doing a double teaming for a couple of years now.
There were other factors but he would ignore those right now.
He turned his attention back to Buffy. She was his real concern right now. He passed her on his way to the stairs, fingers just barely brushing her shoulder as he passed. There was no thought speech or words but he clearly was letting her know he was heading upstairs for her to talk to unless she told him to do otherwise.
Maybe even if she did. After all people like him and Buffy... not exactly the most open and tended to need some prompting.
